I forgot to give an update but here from the humble beginnings of a battery that's on the edge of being a bomb to something that resembles consumer grade note I didn't get any help(including online) It's mostly trial and error on my side that led to this

How long can I keep car battery on a charger?
Hi, my car battery gave up yesterday so I went off on a journey, bought a charger and so far this has been the process.
Hooked it up to a charger (Qoltec 10A smart battey charger) which showed it at 40% and 11.4 V:

After I put the charger into power it showed FUL and 100% instantly.

After some googling I put it into repair mode, charger then started showing PUL code.

Now it shows this, but the right sight is blinking and I am not quite sure if it did yesterday:

It has been going about 10 hours now, the manual just says that it should be repairing about 4 hours, but if the battery is not hot, the "repair time can be adjusted accordingly" reading with a multimeter shows but if it doesn't overheat it can be extended and it should apparently switch to FUL code when it's done. Multimeter shows 14,6 V.
How long can I keep it going? Should I rely on it automatically ending or should I fiddle with it now? AI got me all the way here and now it says to try to switch to STD mode and wait a few minutes to see what it shows.
Also these are the details about battery:
CMF 40L-DIN 40Ah(20HR) 55RC 12V
290CCA (SAE) 360A (EN) 11.6 Kg
Thanks a lot.

Ego batteries no longer charging.
My 56v EGO batteries for my EGO lawnmower are no longer (re)charging. I'm reasonably sure it's actually the EGO charger itself. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is my only recourse to buy a new charger?

Using a 200Ah gel VRLA battery with a UPS for home backup power
I live in a region where power outages are frequent, and since I work from home, I need a reliable backup power solution.
My plan is to use a UPS with a 200Ah, 12V gel VRLA battery as an energy reserve to keep my router running, charge my phone, and power my laptop during extended outages.
The battery would be installed in my home office. I'm particularly concerned about gas emissions and ventilation because the office may remain closed for several hours during meetings, or even for several days if I leave home.
Would a 200Ah gel VRLA battery be suitable for this setup? What ventilation requirements and safety precautions should I consider when using this type of battery in a room that may remain unventilated for days?

Could I use the battery holder from the custom lightsaber from Disney on the character ones or will it not work since the custom lightsaber uses AAA instead of AA. also is it safe to be keeping the bad batteries and battery holder on a paper towel
We found my dead nanas old lightsaber she got from Disney right before she died. I was trying to get it working and when I went to replace the batteries there was so much battery acid. Like the liquid kind. I don’t think we’re going to be able to use that battery holder anymore and I really wanted to get it working for her so I was wondering if I could use the one from the custom lightsabers you can make at Disney on the character ones they sell.
also is it safe to be keeping the bad batteries and battery holder on a paper towel

What would be considered too damaged in lipos?
galleryI have harvested 20 Lipo batteries from an ebike battery, and had to use a bit of prying to cut them away from the PCB. I seem to have a few terminals bulging (?) as visible in the last picture. I squished them down to inspect the damage and it doesn't seem like the outer pouch was compromised. Like, there's no punctures + it doesn't seem like the pouch around the terminals became fully unstuck
Would these still be considered fine? Or is there something I'm missing?

Looking for site similar to batteryhookup for Canada
BatteryHookup seems absolutley amazing the only issue is that their shipping cost for me was so high that it came out to more than my order cost, I'm assuming its because I am a canadian address but what options are there for me if any for similar pricing with lower shipping costs?

Just realized the light is the part I should’ve checked first
The shelf insert is basically together, and now I’m staring at the little light like... right, power. I’m not putting in a random battery just because it happens to fit, so I’m checking the holder and instructions for any voltage or polarity markings first. Feels like this should have been step one instead of something I thought about after building around it. If the markings aren’t obvious, what do you check next?

Canon LP-E4 battery repair
Hello, has anyone here ever replaced the cells inside the LP-E4 battery pack? If so, were you successful? I've swapped mine out, but I believe it'll need some calibration, but I don't think I can force a calibration myself.....thanks.

Help me reveal the truth about the use of powerful chargers with cheap handhelds from China
There’s been a multiple year long debate now about whether using a powerful, rapid charging brick with a cheap chinese handheld, like this Miyoo Mini Plus here would damage the battery, due to said battery possibly not having the general safety mechanisms expected of any modern device sold in Europe or USA.
A typical post in r/miyoomini goes like this:
The user asks if they can charge it with their 100 watt c to c brick, and the comments are usually extremely divided, with half claiming that the c to c connection would simply be rejected and won’t charge (although mine does), and that if the battery does not support rapid charging, it would only “pull” so much as is needed and there won’t be a difference from using an old low power charger (except my console gets really hot on powerful chargers compared to low power ones, which is a difference and contradicts the claim).
The other half states that such a charger will cause either untimely degradation of the battery or worse, as cheap batteries usually lack safety measures and may accidentally draw an unsupported amount of power (artistic interpretation of implied accident attached for clout).
I’m a bit torn on this, as either group seems to be extremely confident with their answers, with no sign of consensus in sight.
I need your help to figure it all out!

Aftermarket lithium brand
Has anyone replaced their battery with aftermarket brands? (Eg: Deji, Rakkipanda, Cortex)
How’s the performance after long term usage?
Im considering replacing mine, but Apple replacement sounds a bit too pricey here

Tiny house lights have me caring about button-cell batteries now
This is probably basic, but what kind of batteries do rolife miniature kits usually use? I’ve seen some kits with little battery boxes, some that look like they take button cells, and some listings that don’t make it clear until the kit is already open. Are they usually LR44, CR2032, AAA, or does it completely depend on the model? Also, if the finished kit sits on a shelf and the light only gets switched on occasionally, is it better to remove the batteries when it’s not in use? I’d like the tiny lamp to stay cute and not turn into a future battery-leak situation.
