I've got a pair of matching large display cases currently lit by a pair of woefully inadequate incandescent bulbs at the tops.
In my head I'm picturing removing the bulbs and using the holes to pipe in two long strips of LEDs that will be placed straight down the front edges and sneak between the glass shelves.
Because there are two cabinets and two sides to each, I'm picturing 4 lengths of LEDs. I do not need fancy effects, but I would like to be able to tune the "temperature" of the white they output. They will probably never be color adjusted once I find the color I like, and every LED will be the same color.
Crudely drawn picture attached.
Blue is shelving.
Red is LED strips.
Yellow is power.
Green is holes in tops of shelves.
Purple is whatever micro computational device I will need.
White is some sort of signal splitter that I have to imagine exists. Something to take one set of instructions and send it over 4 wires.
I assume I'll have to mount the LEDs on 45 degree brackets and diffuse them, but that's probably the least difficult part of the project.
Looking for advice and specific product recommendations that will suit this purpose.
in case it's not obvious I do not know the terminology and have not really worked with these before.
