Showcase Rate my Minecraft themed rice.

So I decided to do a fun project today, and boy, this interface is EXTREMELY convenient, I do not think I am going to switch back to hyprland anytime soon. My arch boots up automatically into Minecraft on boot.

The mod that makes this possible is Waylandcraft, a quick google search of the name should bring it up.

(p.s.) I am typing this in minecraft lol.

Arch BTW Switched to Arch from Windows, Fedora and CachyOS

A few months ago, Windows broke, so I switched to Fedora. Then I looked into CachyOS since it was gaming/performance-focused and had a graphical installer.

Used it for a while, then realized that I want a system that i fully own and know everything that I installed on it, manually installed Arch. It's the best OS I ever used!

Hi guys, Arch noob here. I put arch on my computer( I did not use archinstall) and I can't log into neither my or the root account. It always throws this error(?) out. I took a picture of me trying to use the fastfetch command, but it somehow corrupted(?). I wold be grateful for any advice or possible solution for the issue of mine.

Showcase I’ve been building Tide Island Extended — a Dynamic Island-inspired shell for Hyprland and niri

Hey everyone! 👋

I've been working on Tide Island Extended, an independently maintained extension of the original Tide Island project, built with Quickshell, QML, and Qt 6.

It brings a Dynamic Island-inspired experience to the Linux desktop, with a customizable control center, Matugen theming, smooth animations, system stats, music controls, and various desktop utilities.

It supports both Hyprland and niri, and I'm continuing to improve it based on actual usage rather than adding features just for the sake of it.

I'd love some honest feedback from fellow Linux users. What would you improve, and what features would make this more useful in your daily workflow?

Help/Support About to install arch for first time.....anything i should keep in mind?

What's up, beautiful people on the Internet ❤......so this is what I've been thinking recently. Just hear me out.....and forgive me if my english is not that good 💀 it's my 3rd language, after all.

I've used Windows for a looong time, and i got bored.....so i turned to linux, and i loved it. In beginning, i was experimenting with ubuntu and debian....but didn't like the theme. So i installed cachyos for my next experiment.....and it was rock solid. I rocked hyprland and noctalia shell for about a month....and i loved it.....basically riced the hell out of it. But still.....i wasn't satisfied. The drivers were outdated, updates didn't work sometimes.....these kind of problems.

I always thought about giving the actual arch Linux a try....but people say it's too scary and too hard, even for the veterans. Is that true? I've also heard some myths like broken updates, login not working, devices not showing etc.

Though I'm familiar with how linux works.....still, I'm completely noob at this. Please guide me through all the scary things.....give me tips, insights, ricing advice......just don't burn me down 😅🙌 y'all are awsome 🔥
