NOW DEPARTING Cut the cord with Prime today

After years and years of Amazon Prime, today I no longer have Prime. I suspect I will spend somewhat less without the free shipping on everything. Now I will have to wait until I have at least $35 in my cart. So glad to have Prime off my back, it was good but it deteriorated to junk status this past year with ads in what used to be free and free of ads videos with a Prime membership, and deliveries that as often never arrive in two days. Also, I do W+ and pay for that each year, soooooo worth it for free grocery delivery, free Paramount+, free shipping no minimum order unlike Amazon now, and Walmart comes to my house to get a return so I don't have to drive 10 minutes to a UPS store.

What is going on lately

Been using prime for years, lately I've ordered with next day shipping only to find the next day the shipment has been bumped several days. My partner had two shipments move an entire week. What is going on and why am I paying for next day shipping benefits if I can't use them? Might as well just go to the store like before and pick it up myself if it's going to take a week.

Amazon's delivery service...

Is anyone else thoroughly disgusted with Amazon's own delivery service?

For years, Amazon used UPS for their deliveries. Rarely was there ever an issue, at least in my experience. In nearly two decades, I can probably count on one hand the number of times an order was delivered late by UPS.

When it comes to Amazon's own service, a "Your package arrived late at our X facility" delay is becoming quite common. Their delivery service SUCKS!!!

I feel bad for their end delivery drivers, because I've no doubt they deal with the brunt of the complaints from people, when it's not really their fault. Once it reaches their facility, they deliver it pretty quickly, but the package getting to their facility is the problem.

If UPS service was like this, they would have gone out of business years ago. Heck, even FedEx is stellar in comparison, and FedEx sucks too!

Amazon is dropping the ball

Latley I’ve had packages saying they are supposed to be delivered. Look to find out they haven’t even been shipped yet. This has happened on atleast 4 or 5 recent orders. What’s the point of having a next day delivery option if they can’t hold to that? I had a package supposed to arrive in two days and a week later only to find it’s been rotating in one location in my state for days. Being checked in and then checked out over and over again.

What can I buy that I don't need now but I would need in the future?

I feel like spending on stuff that can make my life better even though I wouldn't find any use for it now, I might need it for the future.

My preferred delivery window is the 8 pm - 10 pm for the shortest window and easiest traffic schedule for my area for potentially quicker delivery and smallest window of un-refridgerarion time but I work night shift so my sleep schedule + work schedule only means I can order on the weekends. I have placed orders before ~ 24 hrs ahead of time. When I wake up tomorrow I will be outside of the same day delivery time, roughly noon. What gives. What’s funny is I can add items to my cart from “save for later” but I can’t view the full grocery store. When I go to previous orders it’s from a local store(vastly higher prices) or Amazon Fresh(which requires a certain amount spent for free delivery) all my past orders have been through Amazon Grocery

Horrible Customer Service, next steps?

Hey everyone, just wanted to talk about my experience as a customer trying to order 4x WD Red Pro from Amazon.

First order was on 7/8/26 through Amazon US (ordering from AU). Total price of $2147 ($516 per drive). This order was marked lost towards the end of August by an associate, which I had to reach out to confirm vs Amazon reaching out to me.

see above (image 1-2) for the transit history. Associate promising me that the item would be delivered: (image 3)

Package being confirmed lost below (image 4):

I was also promised a replacement (image 5):

Which was then taken back by the associate (image 6):

All while the drives continued to go up in price/out of stock.

I was then offered a price-match finally, on the condition that I re-order the drives from the same seller (which would mean I would have to wait for them to be back in stock) image 7-8:

So that’s what I did. I waited until one was in stock and made an order on 28/9/26, what happened was the following (image 9-11):

And now the drives are (pretty much) lost again. Customer service has done nothing but offer me refunds since.

I just want my drives, for the price I paid for them. Is that too much to ask? I even made it clear to one of the associates that;

Unfortunately, a refund will not suffice as the price of these hard drives are 2-3x the price I paid through Amazon when making the order, so unless Amazon is willing to pay the amount the price of the 14TB WD Red Pro hard drives are at the moment (locally or through your own store), I will not be satisfied as I believe it is unfair. I have been promised multiple different delivery dates and have been patient throughout my multiple exchanges with you and your team. I have tried my absolute best to be patient and understanding however this is unfair.

This whole process has been mentally draining for me and seriously making me reconsider shopping with Amazon again. I have been promised updates, replacements, delivery dates and have been lied to each time. I’m hoping someone on here has another route I can go down, as I just want my drives for the original price I paid. Whether that be through Amazon, or if they were to subsidise my costs through another retailer, as I believe this whole exchange has been unfair.

Non-returnable items

I purchased an item on Amazon that I intended to give as a birthday gift to a friend. I received the item on October 12 but did not open it (the brown Amazon package) because it was meant to be a gift. I later found the same item at a lower price on the brand’s official website and requested a return through Amazon. At the time, I was unaware that the item was classified as non-returnable. An Amazon agent informed me that a return could not be processed because of this policy.

After that conversation, I decided to open the Amazon package and have decided I will wrap the item later to make it look more pretty only to discovered that it had arrived damaged. The box was crushed, the lid had scratches, and there was liquid residue leaking around the lid, making the item appear as though it may have been previously used. Since this was intended as a birthday gift, I was concerned about giving my friend a damaged or potentially unsafe product. I contacted Amazon again to request a resolution and uploaded photos of the damage through the link provided by the agent.

The agent informed me that, after consulting with their team lead, Amazon would issue a refund without requiring me to return the item because it was considered unsafe.

However, I had a similar experience the previous day when another agent initially told me that I would receive a refund without returning the item. I was later informed by a member of the leadership team that the item was non-returnable and that the refund could not be processed as previously stated. The leadership team representative also explained that I should receive a confirmation email if the refund was being processed correctly. Since I had not received one, they indicated that the refund had not actually been initiated.

I then asked the agent to send me written confirmation of the refund, and they agreed but disconnected the chat without providing the confirmation. At this point, I had spoken with approximately 10 different agents through Amazon’s chat support, repeatedly explaining the same situation and receiving conflicting information.

I decided to call Amazon directly and spoke with a representative from the specialist team. The representative confirmed that I would receive a refund and sent me an email regarding the matter.
"Hello, I've processed a refund back to the original payment method.

$62.13 for *the item's name* will be refunded to your Visa, within 5-7 business days.

You can expect to see this refund reflected in your account within the next 5-7 business days.

Best regards,
Amazon.com". Does this mean I'm actually getting the refund without returning the item?

Thank you guys.

Just a funny one. Order was supposed to show up this morning. Then got a message saying it was delayed until tomorrow. Then got this alert. It’s out for delivery but expected tomorrow morning. These drivers work some rough hours.

Bought some books, delivered by drone.....

I got the email that said the package was delivered.... I was not home, so when I got there I checked the front door, back door, garage, etc.

I found it- about 100 feet from the house, in the grass, being rained on for a couple hours.

The books were OK, and it was same day delivery ( which I did not care that much about ),

but I guess this is the new reality....at least sometimes.

No complaints, just surprised.

The same Amazon product, but two different prices??

The more expensive one is from an affiliate link (left), and the other (right) is a direct link to the same product.

From Amazon Associate - "An Amazon affiliate link does not automatically increase the price of a product for the buyer. The price a customer sees and pays on Amazon is the same whether they arrive via an affiliate link or search for the product directly.".

Anyone feel guilty ordering canned soup, milk, energy drinks, protein shakes through Amazon?

I used to order a lot of Amazon Grocery items like milk, canned soups, energy drinks, and Fairlife protein shakes. But then I realized how heavy it is to carry those items up my 2nd floor condo. So I stopped.

Am I overthinking this? Do Amazon drivers get annoyed by these grocery orders?
