USA I plan on having an abortion and telling my fiance it was a miscarriage.

I found out I am pregnant about a week ago. The moment I found out I was pregnant I expressed I didnt want the pregnany especially right now. I already have a toddler from a previous relationship. He's been a great step father but a terrible bf/fiance. Im 26 he's 32, I helped him get his first apartment by getting him to save money, but that took getting into arguments about it first. He move in with me giving up the apartment. He has no car and makes less than I do while getting his checks garnished for something he owed, he can't cook and he half ass cleans. This all starts arguments ive been wanting to seperate but just live through it bc of the economy. Now Im kind of tired and just rather do it all on my own again since i still do everything and more since he moved in, but anytime I mention we separate he refuses to move out, we argue and he makes me feel bad for not wanting to be with him. Im frustrated, I wanted my first child and with this one i feel nothing. Im so unhappy

USA Update on my abortion at 13 weeks *Positive*

• Upvotes

So i had my abortion yesterday in Equity Clinic Illinois. Let me just say.. i had such a good experience with the staff, everybody was super nice to me & gentle. Everything happened pretty quick, lab work, ultrasound etc.
Im not going to lie the procedure did hurt a little, i was high on meds & couldn’t stay awake but i still felt something & it was a little painful but quick! Nothing i couldn’t take. Afterwards they took me to a resting area where i took 2 naps lol & woke up when i felt a little better, they gave me snacks, juice and water & sat there for about an hour till i felt ready to walk & leave. I haven’t been bleeding as much either which im glad because seeing blood makes me feel some type of way 😣 but overall my whole experience went great & i recommend it 100%%%!! 🤍thank you to those who commented on my last couple posts giving me info on Funds!

Asia My Surgical Abortion Experience at 4W3D in Thailand (mid 30s)

I read a lot about the options here and even ordered from WOW. I immediately paid the 70 euro donation, but before they could respond to me, I read about the option of going to Thailand. Because abortion is illegal in the Philippines, I was a little afraid of doing it myself, given my age and my other health concerns. I decided the best and safest choice was to fly to Thailand and have health professionals handle it for me.

Before the hospital
We arrived in Thailand in the early morning, so we slept first and then went to the hospital in the early afternoon. I was told not to eat for two hours before the surgical abortion.

My timeline
1:32pm: Arrived at Building B, right where the cab drops you off
1:33pm: Paid 500 baht, then waited in the TV area
1:40pm: Ultrasound
1:45pm: First consultation
1:55pm: Vitals
2:05pm: Second consultation. I signed papers, and they explained the instructions and what to expect
2:10pm: Paid 10,500 baht by credit card, then waited in the TV area
2:35pm: Brought upstairs in Building B by elevator. My husband was told to wait in Building A, Room 201, which is connected to Building B, and that I'd be about 3 hours
On the 2nd floor, I had to leave my bag, slippers, and phone in a locker before being ushered up to the 4th floor
2:40pm: On the 4th floor, I changed into a two-piece hospital gown. This is also where the procedure is done
About 3:00pm: The procedure started. I was knocked out, and the next thing I remember is waking up groggy in the recovery room
BP before: 120/80. BP right after: 160/100
After recovery, I was ushered back down to the 2nd floor to get my things from the locker. It connects to Building A, where my husband was waiting in Room 201
4:30pm: Done, waiting outside for our Grab
5:04pm: Back at the hotel. BP 128/74, pulse 86

What it was like
There were many staff, so everyone gets looked after.
Other women were there with their partners. I think I was the only Filipina. Be prepared that you may see some women crying, overwhelmed, scared, or unsure.
Total time from arrival to leaving was about 3 hours.
My bleeding was light and I had no pain at all. I was just a little dizzy, and my appetite was already back.

Follow-up checkup
I went back the day before my flight to make sure everything was gone. They did another ultrasound and the doctor spoke to me. He gave me these reminders:
- No sex for 2 weeks, then use a condom after that to reduce the risk of infection
- No lifting heavy weights for 2 weeks
- No strenuous exercise for 2 weeks
The follow-up checkup was free, with no additional charge.

Expenses
Hospital fees: 500 baht + 10,500 baht = 11,000 baht (about ₱20,000)
Flights: ₱23,500 per person (a little expensive because my flight was 5 days after finding out, and I didn't want to wait longer)
Hotel: ₱17,500 (this can be cheaper, it depends on where you would like to stay)
Food: approx ₱12,000 (can be cheaper or more expensive, it depends on you)
Grab: approx ₱4,000 (this is only for my trips to and from the hospital and airport, not other locations)
The 70 euro WOW donation was refunded to me

Total: approx ₱77,000 (about US$1,250)

The experience was smooth and quick. Everyone at Klongtun was non-judgmental, accommodating, and professional. If you have questions, feel free to comment.

USA I found out I’m four weeks pregnant and I did not want another kid and I already have three Florida

But I accidentally got pregnant again. It was a one time slip up in the middle of switching BC. I am married it is my husbands we have no health insurance and already have 3 small kids. Our house isn’t big enough for another baby. My husband already works 7 days a week and I do everything with the kids alone I have no family here no friends I have had zero help is the last four years next year all my kids will be in school and I’ll have a nice break.

I’m so torn between terminating the pregnancy or going through with it. 90% of me does want a baby and 10% of me thinks what if? But I want to put my girls in dance and sports and they already share a room 3 girls in one room! It’s not fair to add another baby and take experiences away from my other children.

My husband also drinks a lot so the nights he is home he doesn’t even help he gets drunk and falls asleep on the couch. Also he never helped when the girls where babies I did everything alone with twins!! I did all nights by myself. Also I finally feel like myself again. I’m skinny I’m happy I have hobbies I do things with my girls I can not have another baby

USA I messed up, maybe four weeks pregnant in Florida

• Upvotes

I took one test and had a very faint line. I’m going today to get more and check, but I’ve had this feeling for a while now. I ordered pills online so I’m not worried, just more so feeling guilty and then sad. And scared.

I’m married, my husband has a vasectomy, but I’m out of state on work. My husband has such horrible trauma from his childhood, he’s always said he would want a dna test if I ever got pregnant, even when I was home. Now I’m out of state and i don’t even want this child to begin within. That sounds horrible. But I love not having a kid, just me and my husband. And I can’t even talk to him about this because I’m so scared he’ll accuse me of cheating. I’ve gone home to see him several times, and I’m just so scared. I don’t need advice, just venting.

USA I haven’t bleed that much, as I was expecting it.

• Upvotes

Hi! I am 5weeks and 2 days. I live in Houston TX. I took my third set of pills last night at 11:30pm. After about an hour from the first dosage of miso I started to experience painful cramps and have been ever since. I've gone up to pee a few times and have only experienced bleeding when I pee. after starting the process I had diarrhea (that’s normal for me when cramping) and I know I had some tiny clots, but couldn’t tell because of the diarrhea. I had a little blood on the three pads I've used so far but they're not soaked in the slightest. I'm five weeks and three days. Is it normal not to bleed that much and not that many clots? Thank you!

Latin America and Caribbean I’m 8 months pregnant and my bf cheated on me, now he has left me to raise the child alone and experience pregnancy alone but I never want the child

I’m from Central America and in my country abortion is illegal and isn’t practice only by back alley doctors. I never wanted a child this young and was extremely afraid especially of doing it alone. In my country it is extremely common for men to cheat and leave pregnant woman but my bf promised to stay and raise it with me. He cheated on me and has changed his mind saying he’s too young (20) and can’t do it. I am nineteen, I lose my job because of morning sickness, I was taking a break from school to save up money so I don’t have a degree and I’m not close to my family so he was the only one I had to rely on. Now I don’t have anyone and I’m really regretting being pregnant, I’ve grown to love the baby but I can’t see myself being able to do things alone and being able to care for him properly. I want him to have a father and a stable household but I’ve failed and he won’t have any of that. I’ve become depressed and think about ending my life before we struggle alone or be in a world that is not kind. I’m tired and I don’t want this life. In a next life I would be able to have him with a proper family.

USA Testing positive 5 wks after MA - new pregnancy or residual hcg?

I had a medication abortion for a 5-week pregnancy about 5 weeks ago. Bleeding started the day after I took the pills and continued for a few days. No big clots that I noticed.

I have been checking LH, BBT and cervical mucus most days. I've had many elevated LH readings, which I assumed were just picking up on residual hcg. Before pregnancy, I did not have elevated lh results outside of ovulation peaks.

About a week ago, I use a pregnancy test strip and the test line was extremely faint, arguably negative. I tested again yesterday with a stick (different brand) and got a very dark positive.

There were a couple encounters since the abortion that could be resulting in a new pregnancy showing as positive now. About 2 and 3 weeks after the abortion, respectively. I haven't been able to confirm if or when I ovulated given the elevated lh readings.

I know I should get quantitative hcg tests next to see if it's rising or falling. Just wanted to ask if anyone has had similar experiences or thoughts on whether a new pregnancy or residual hcg seems more likely. Thank you in advance.

Latin America and Caribbean Fear of pregnancy please help

So, I'm a virgin and I'm 18 years old. On the 15th of this month, my period ended in the morning, and that afternoon I engaged in oral sex with a guy. The main point is: during this, I was also using my hands quite a bit, and at one point my fingers came into contact with his pre-cum mixed with my saliva; I then rubbed this onto my vulva (from the clitoris down toward the vaginal opening. ⚠️I DIDN'T PUT MY FINGERS INSIDE⚠️). I am truly terrified of becoming pregnant from this, and my anxiety is preventing me from eating—I’ve even vomited, and I can’t bring myself to eat anything because of this intense phobia and anxiety. Please, someone help me. I have tokophobia.

USA Abortion tomorrow morning, I’m so scared and ashamed. What do I expect?

Im 21 and I just found out 2 days ago that I am pregnant and specifically I am 4 weeks pregnant. This was not planned or wanted and I would always say if I accidentally ever got pregnant id “just get an abortion” but I didn’t realize how much actually having to be in this situation would affect me. I can feel my body changing more and more everyday and it makes me feel so guilty. I have been blessed with a life, a creation of my own, and instead of being eternally grateful and happy, I am destroying it. It kills me. But with the economy, with my living situation, and no family support. I just don’t see any way of keeping this baby without having it growing up without the things it needs, just getting by. I want to be able to give my child everything, but with the job market and market of everything right now tbh, I just can’t do that and it breaks my heart. I go in for my vacuum aspiration at a 9am appointment tomorrow morning at planned parenthood. I am so scared. I am scared for the procedure, and the pain, blood, and unknown. I’m scared of complications and I’m scared to even do it at all. I feel so ashamed and alone and scared. I can’t talk to anyone about it, I have no friends and anyone I am even remotely acquaintances with would just judge me heavily even if they didn’t act like it to my face. Same with family. My parents are just not people I could depend on anymore, especially not for something like this. I live in a trailer less than 200sqft with my boyfriend and I save all I can and work as much as I can but it’s just not an environment or promised future that’s conducive to a baby or a growing and developing child. I feel so alone and scared. I don’t know what the procedure holds or the after affects feel like. I just want my life back without all of the guilt and shame and fear. But I’ll never be able to forget this. It’ll stick with me for the rest of my life. I’m so scared of bleeding and hurting a lot and I just am not looking forward to this at all. I just really wish things were different and I didn’t have to do this but it’s definitely the right thing. Hopefully planned parenthood treats me well. I live in Florida so I’m just glad I caught my pregnancy under 6 weeks. But my heart is so incredibly broken and I have no one to talk to besides my boyfriend about it but you can’t really understand unless you’re going through it or have been through it. Is it gonna hurt? What’s the pain like? Do they give you anything to make you feel mentally not there during the process? How much bleeding and pain is there after? How long does this affect your life after? I am so scared and I just want to know but I guess I’ll find out in the morning.

Africa My abortion was a success!

Found out I was 7 weeks pregnant two weeks ago. Tbh it was a no brainer for me that I couldn’t have the baby. I made my decision less than 2 hours after I found out.

I was so scared because of all the stuff I read about the pain and spasms. But tbh it wasnt all that bad, I did have cramping but it was mild enough for me to ignore and go about my day.

I had anxiety over these past two weeks because the waiting to be sure if it was successful was HELL. Finally went to go a scan and found it was successful.

For some reason my mind convinced me it didn’t work. So happy I can now close this chapter of my life and move on. It’s been a hectic two weeks for me mentally but I’m glad it’s over. I have no regrets because I know I made the right decision.

USA Pre eclampsia needing abortion help in Louisiana

So, I am in Louisiana, pregnant by an abuser, and at around 15 weeks did a medication abortion at home. I passed large clots, what appeared to be tissue, etc .. and assumed all was well based on other symptoms subsiding like breast tenderness. Here I am now almost 29 weeks and noticed a few days ago my ankles were swelling badly, which is actually the only thing that tipped me off to be concerned that the medical abortion did not work. All literature I read said tests would remain positive for 8 weeks so I was just going along with my life assuming I was no longer pregnant to now find out that I still am. My pregnancy with my son was difficult at the end with high blood pressure and huge health risks. That was almost 14 years ago. I am so incredibly scared!! Please help

Asia I regret my abortions so much it's heartbreaking.

I had to go through 3 abortions and I am completely broken. I am still 17 so keeping it wasn't an option ever but I feel so lost. I still hadn't stopped grieving about my first abortion and there I was, having to go thru that same misery again and again.

My relationship is struggling too cause it's very evident that I wanted to keep it and my boyfriend was fully against it and to be honest, I get him.

Maybe I shouldn't have listened to him but I was scared. I regret all the abortions and I wish I could've just held my baby against my chest for once because I really wanted it and it's no one's fault but mine. I wish I was strong enough or firm enough to take a stand for us. I really wish I could've kept it, kept them all.

There's a particular kind of sadness in grieving someone you never got to meet. There's no grave to visit, no picture to look at, no place to leave flowers. Just a memory of when it was blooming into something real inside my womb and an emptiness I can't seem to express. I feel hollow. I have spent so much time trying to justify why I made that decision that I haven't given myself permission to admit how much it hurts, and it hurts so bad. I wish I could grieve without blaming myself. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever stop thinking about it.

Sometimes I want to tell my bf everything iam feeling, but I am scared that if I let him see just how much I am actually hurting, he'll look at me differently. I feel so ashamed of my own feelings that I don't know how to let the words out. I get so angry at him but yes he is right we aren't capable of raising kids right now but lord, it's eating me alive.

USA Does the box from AidAccess come in a discreet package?

Exactly what title says. Last time I ordered from them, I had it sent to my friend’s house because I didn’t know what it would say on the outside and she told me it came in a discreet package but I’m considering buying it again from them and want to know exactly what discreet means. If someone were to see the box on the porch would they be suspicious of it? If they shook the box, would they know it’s a small box of pills and wonder what kind? What color is the outside and what does it say exactly? My friend just told me it was “discreet” but didn’t elaborate and I didn’t really think to ask what she meant by that. I don’t want her to know I’m ordering them again because I feel embarrassed (she wouldn’t judge me at all but I’m not ready to talk with her about it yet). I just also don’t want those in my household to get to it before me and ask me about it.
Can someone be very specific for me please? 🙏

Canada How does a miscarriage look like at 7 weeks?

I need to get an abortion but family will be very angry at me so I need to tell them miscarriage. Even if I say I had miscarriage, they will ask what happened, when, did you go to doctor? My family works as health care professionals so they are intrusive. I don't know the answers to these questions as I haven't had a miscarriage.

Can someone tell me exactly what to say?

USA Positive pregnancy test 2wks after SA: residual but decreasing hCG or piggyback pregnancy?

27F, NJ.
Disclaimer: I do plan on contacting my clinic that performed the SA and informing them of my current situation. I just might not be able to call until tomorrow or the following day, so I’m looking for advice in the meantime.

My last period started 08.16 and lasted until 08.20, with a cycle length averaging 26 days. My period was 6 days late on 09.16, and I tested positive. I had a surgical abortion on 09.29 and I was dated 6w+2. I do not regret my decision. I actually felt physically and mentally so much better after the procedure, as if I could breathe again. The day of and the day after my SA, I was up and mobile. The 2nd and 3rd day after, I went to work and was fine. Light bleeding. There was mixed information about when it’s okay to have sex after SA, some health organizations stating that waiting 1-2 weeks after you have a SA is outdated, it’s more reliant on when you feel physically and emotionally ready. So, 3 days after, my bf (24M) and I had sex; no condom, no birth control, but he pulled out. On the 4th day about 10h into my serving shift, I was getting insanely crampy and lightheaded. Persevered and went home to sleep for 10 hours. Woke up in the 5th day after, cramped so bad, but then passed a decent sized clot. Immediate relief. Lighter bleeding for 2-3 more days. Then, nothing…no more bleeding (this takes us to about 8 days post-SA).

On 10.09 (10 days post-SA) I started taking Opill, an OTC birth control “mini pill.” Instructions state the Opill takes 48h to become effective. Had sex on 10.13 (14 days post-SA). No condom, he pulled out.
Today, on 10.16, I guess I went into an anxiety spiral and I’m convincing myself I could be pregnant again.
I noticed yesterday I was insanely tired during work and after… like suspiciously tired to the point where during work, I’m like 🤨 could it be? Noooo… I just picked up more shifts and I’m physically drained. Duh.
But now, I’m feeling that familiar dull ache, some cramping, and overall heightened awareness of my uterus. I’m peeing a lot again. Starting to feel c*nty with a raging attitude again.
Tested today just for fun. Positive. So positive, so dark. When I found out I was pregnant, it was ClearBlue vs. today which was First Response. I understand that they have different hCG sensitivity, with FR being ~6.4 mIU/mL and CB being 10 mIU/mL, making FR better at detecting lower levels. So does it make sense that my FR test is so dark even after 2 weeks post-SA? Is it just such a sensitive test that there’s barely any faint lines on a FRER?

TLDR; I had a SA at 6w+2, some unprotected sex post-SA w/ pullout method and once with pulling out + BC. Feeling the familiar pregnancy symptoms at 2 weeks + 3 days post-SA.
I know that there’s always a possibility of residual tissue after SA, but that is not my main worry.

Main questions:
Does my timeline seem like I could be pregnant right after SA?
Why is the second round of pregnancy tests (First Response) dark af even after SA?
Shouldn’t my hCG levels have dropped enough to produce more of a faint line?
