Before/After Pics 100lbs down photoshoot

Post image
• Upvotes

I got a preview of my “100lbs down” photoshoot today and I’m so excited how they turned out. Even though I’ve not officially 100lbs down yet I’m at 98.4lbs lost and that’s close enough for me. The picture on the left is the one solo picture I got from my wedding in 2023 where I was around 213lbs and the picture on the right is from my photoshoot last week, I’m now weighing in at 128lbs.

Side Effects I think I have to stop

• Upvotes

I got recently hospitalized for a partial bowel obstruction. I was also going through a really bad break up, so at first I thought it was stress. They cleared me of any infections causing it, I still have to get scopes to see if there is any underlying IBD.
I’m terrified that this is what is causing it. I’m too afraid to take another injection until I see the GI next week. I do not want to end up in the hospital again.
I finally got under 200, I’ve sold off all my clothes.
I don’t want to gain this weight back, and I’m trying to handle my cravings and food noise the best I can.
Will I absolutely gain this weight back?
I feel like I’ll never get to where I want to be with weight. So defeated.

Achievement/NSV 🎉🥳🎊 NSV Finally!

• Upvotes

We were going to dinner last night & I wanted a sweater that actually fit so I stopped at a boutique I like to support. I told her I didn’t know what my size was anymore (I was a L/XL). She said she thought maybe a M or S - then pulled some sweaters for me to try on. She pulled 5 small sweaters. I tried them on and THEY ALL FIT! I was so excited! Now I realize that women’s clothing sizes are all over the place…but I’m going to relish that quick shopping trip for awhile for sure!

Side Effects 18 months in and feeling gross

• Upvotes

I have been on Zep for 18 months and have lost 20% of my body weight. I felt great for so long, but recently i feel gross overall. I immediately get nauseous when I pull out my weekly shot and the smell of the alcohol wipe makes my mouth water like it does before you vomit. I now hate shot day so much and I used to love it.
And during the week I dont feel the same surge of energy and motivation that I used to feel post shot. When I stretch out my shot I go back to feeling good on the last few days when it is mostly out of my system. haven’t lost anything in a while. It feels like my body is telling me it’s time to be done. I thought I would be on this med for life. I believe it is good for overall health by reducing inflammation and stabilizing blood sugar, but I don’t want to feel this way anymore.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Tips/Tricks Traveling with vials - need chilled during travel

• Upvotes

I'm traveling to Europe and will be there for 2+ months so I cannot just travel with 10 vials in a ziploc bag at room temp since the single dose vials can only be at room temp for 21 days and CANNOT be put back in the fridge once they come to room temp (don't come for me on this! This info is straight from a Lilly Direct Pharmacist, and their website.)

I bought this canister that is supposed to keep meds at 36-46F for 33 hours if the outside temp is 85. It's nowhere near 85F where I live or where I'm going, but I have done a bunch of tests with it and so far it hasn't even stayed at 36-46F for even 24 hours! My travel day alone will be 24-30 hours and that's with no delays!

I've contacted the manufacturer to find out if I have a lemon or if I'm doing something wrong, but in the meantime I wanted to see if anyone else has used this cooler, or one similar, and had it actually work for the amount of time it says it will. I'll be traveling with $1,500 worth of Zep and I DO NOT want it to get ruined, obvi!

Vent/Rant Started Zepbound in July, only lost around 10 lbs. A bit disappointed

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!
I started Zepbound in July 2026 and wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
I am a 5’9” male. On July 26, I weighed 232 lbs. As of today, I am at 220 lbs.
I stayed on 2.5 mg for about two months, had a short interruption of around 11 days due to travel, and then moved up to 5 mg in early October.

I definitely notice some appetite suppression and eat smaller portions than before, but I still feel hungry, even a day or two after my injection. My weight loss also seems slower than I expected, especially when I see people losing 20+ lbs in a similar timeframe. I know comparing others progress is not a good metric but I am really not able to hit my weight loss target that I planned for in 6 months:(

Need your motivation

First Timer MiraLAX

• Upvotes

I have a question about MiraLAX. I had a problem with constipation before starting Zepbound and I still have a problem now that I’m on Zepbound. So I find that MiraLAX works pretty good for me. I had to get constipated first before I realized I need to do something about this so it took a while to work but I finally started having BM’s. But at first, it is still the very hard lumpy stools and then they soften up and become runny stools. Sorry for to be so graphic.
I had to take MiraLAX every day in order to get there, but now that I’m there my question is, should I continue to take MiraLAX every day? It seems like if I slow down or stop then I’m back to square one again so I’m just curious how everybody else does this? The runny stool makes me a little bit nervous and just how far is that going to go if I stay on MiraLAX every day? Will it eventually become normal if I take it everyday? Should I cut back to 1/2 dose?

Achievement/NSV 🎉🥳🎊 I am so grateful for this medication

• Upvotes

I have struggled with my body image since I was a young child, as a tall woman I’ve always felt “large” and I had a horrible eating disorder in my early teen years.
This medication has healed my relationship with food since I was always on the extreme side of things (not eating at all or eating everything)
Now I can eat normal sized meal or tiny snack and feel satisfied.
I started this medication only a few months ago and I am already down 30lbs!

Vent/Rant underwear falling down….

• Upvotes

let me start by saying i am so grateful to be feeling better in my body - i’m able to move better, years of chronic heartburn are a distant memory, and all the clothes i sized out of that i saved are fitting me again. HOWEVER……my damn underwear is ALWAYS falling down and it drives me INSANE. it was falling down before i lost weight bc of the way my rolls moved. it’s falling down now bc i have lost weight and they’re too big!!!! i know the simple solution is to just buy more, and i will, but i can’t help but laugh at myself bc i always looked forward to my underwear not being a sensory nightmare, and it seems that peace is still just out of my grasp lol.

just needed to vent to people who may face the same struggle, it is torture 😂

First Timer Just took my first shot! Can I just be excited here?

• Upvotes

I’ve had to wait longer than initially anticipated because of surgery but I finally did it! And I don’t know, where I’m at the weather’s a crisp 60° with the sun out, it’s freaking beautiful what with the foliage doing their thing, and I’m just overcome with a surge of hope which is a big deal since I’m already pretty optimistic and idealistic as a default. Haha. I can’t wait to see the changes it’ll inspire and I can’t wait to be able to say thanks to* my body for overcoming what she has thus far.

I hope that my love of food and cooking and my adventurous palate doesn’t entirely go away but I can’t wait to be able to practice restraint instead of being a little too carefree with my portions and timing.

See you guys in a few months with a before and after, hopefully. Hope you’re all having a great one! If you have any tips that aren’t frequently shared that you found has helped made this journey easier for you, I’d happily take all the wisdom and tips I can! Thank you!

First Timer Zepbound hypersensitivity

• Upvotes

Sooo… I’ve since began Zepbound at the starter dose and the first week (first dose) I did not experience any symptoms. However, by day 6 of week 2 (2nd dose) I began to experience slight intermittent numbness of just my fingertips (thumbs, first, 2nd tips). I thought I may have slept wrong or such so I went about my 3rd dose and within 24hrs afterwards, I started to experience facial hypersensitivity. This hypersensitivity (burning) was restricted to both mid cheek areas, activated by light touch and wasn’t unbearable. I am now day 6 of week 3 (3rd dose) and I still have both facial hypersensitivity and some finger tip numbness (thumbs only). Recently, I brought up these symptoms to my PCP and it was recommended that I stop taking Zepbound. Granted, this is not an unreasonable response given the symptoms, have any of you experienced similarly? How did you handle it? It’s quite puzzling that these are the symptoms I’ve experienced while experiencing NONE of the common symptoms!

Side Effects holy side effects part II

• Upvotes

Refer here to the original thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/comments/1x7i68n/holy_side_effects/

I've spent the last two days at the doctor. My diarrhea has not let up at all! I tried keeping myself hydrated from the suggestions I got in the previous thread but I just couldn't do it. Yesterday the nurse practitioner I felt was really dismissive of me and the first thing she said to me was "well you read the side effects right?" Yeah I did, but I'm pretty sure not being able to eat or drink with out pure liquid coming out my rear for nearly a week straight is problem. Not to mention stomach pain got worse along the way.

Anyway at the end of it all she said well if you aren't better in the morning you need to call us. Well of course I wasn't better and after another sleepless night spent on the toilet I was so weak my wife had to help me to the bed. I was confused, and my wife said not making much sense some times. So she called the Doctor.

The actual Doctor said "can you get him here right now? if not call 911." We did make it to the car and then to the Doctor. She was so much more caring and helpful. She thinks I'm having a reaction to the meds. I had a low grade fever to go on top of it all. She immediately ordered fluids and said you're going to be spending the day with us. So for four hours I got an infusion of liquids. What a difference that made. I feel so much stronger, but he problem still persists. She also ordered a CT which was clear.

Finally I'm back home a bit tired but feeling better. I'm hungry but terrified to even eat toast but I have to. The doctor said I had to force myself to have liquids and food.

At the end of the day my journey on this drug may be over and it's heartbreaking. I've tried to lose weight my whole life basically and I'm just bad at it. I've read so many success stories here and know a few people personally that have had great success. But I'm starting to think that I'm maybe just doomed to be this way. I'm going to keep up the walking and strength training but my dream of getting down to my football playing weight is over I fear.

I really just wanted to thank the so many of you that tried to help out on the other thread and wish you all well on your journeys.

Insurance/PA Anyone have experience with eMed program?

My employer is ending coverage and moving us to eMed in 2027. There is a small contribution they will make if we move to the program. Trying to decide how much of a pain that program is with check-ins, etc and if the small contribution is worth the hassle. If not my wife and I will go self pay. Just looking for others experience, if anyone has used this program.

Particularly interested in the transition, as both my wife and I have lost significant weight and would not qualify for the drug now based on BMI - we are basically both in maintenance at this point.

If it’s too difficult to get approved or if the ongoing requirements are too hard, I’ll just move to Lilly direct or the savings card thru Walgreens. Does the savings card thru Walgreens bring the price to the same as Lilly direct?

We’ve been covered for the last few years, so this is my first journey to a non covered year. Thanks!

Side Effects Feeling hungover

I’ve been on a work trip for a few days, so of course I’m eating more than usual. On day 3 I woke up and felt like I was hungover. Tired, low energy, and mild headache.

Anyone else have this happen on zepbound when you overindulge?

I haven’t even had any alcohol, but if I’m gonna feel bad, I think I’ll have a couple cocktails tonight for our last night of travel.

Vent/Rant Goodbye, Zeppers

After giving it what I consider a fair go, I’m switching to a different GLP-1.

Reasons had to do w being unable to manage the injection itself: I wasted so much medication shooting it everywhere but my stomach. Into the air, into my eye, etc. . I couldn’t keep track of doses even with my husband helping me. I couldn’t depress the plunger due to arthritis & tremor in my hands.

Even with all the mistakes, I still lost 8#s & got below 200 for the first time since the early l 80’s.

Insurance/PA RO Health will not do a Prior Authorization for the Zepbound Kwikpen

I’ve been using RO to get my prescription for my Zepbound for over a year now. But recently my insurance has indicated that they will no longer cover the single dose pens and will only cover the Kwikpens.

My previous prior authorization has expired for Zepbound so my insurance needs a new request resent. RO has indicated that they will not request a prior Authorization for the Zepbound Kwikpen because they only offer the Kwikpen as a cash-only option. I am completely out of medication and need to look for an alternative telehealth service. Does anyone know of any other services that will do the prior authorization for the Zepbound Kwikpen

Insurance/PA Tricare?

I started in December 2025 and have a PA for 12 months. I don’t have any refills left and I have an appointment in two weeks to see a doctor (healthcare where I’m at is fucked, I don’t even have a PCM so I see a different one every time)

My SW is 165 lb, CW is 115 lb, taking 10 mg. I’m afraid that they might take me off of it abruptly because I was told I was getting “too skinny” based on my last appointment. I don’t know what kind of doctor I’ll be seeing next, but can they deny me a renewal even if I still have two months left on my PA? Is tapering or maintenance dose a thing with Tricare?

TIA!!

First Timer Starting Zepbound soon! Anyone have significant weight lifting experience before starting it?

Hi everyone. 203lbs, 5’6, female and 26 years old. This question is for the gym girlies / gym rats who’ve started Zep.

I’m starting Zepbound in the coming weeks. I have already spoken with my nurse and I am approved. Aiming to start first week of November. Most of my life I was overweight, however, i have been in the gym six years but the last three years I’ve been serious about building muscle and has been the most rewarding. I did have a body building coach (just for training not for competing) so that gave me insane growth. Despite my weight, I am muscular and strong. I have large quads, biceps, lats, but a high body fat percentage on top of it. Weight management has been a huge issue my entire life. Weight lifting just helped give me control over some of that.

My biggest concern is losing weight too quickly and losing my muscle mass. I already know how to calorie count, eat protein and fibre, I optimally train in the gym and I am not taking zepbound as a quick fix. I want this to give me a genuine shot at developing portion control, helping me achieve my goals. I understand some muscle loss can come with this as any regular cut can.

Has anyone here already weight trained before starting GLP1? What was your experience? Any tips and tricks for weight lifters? Stories? Success stories especially :)

Thank you.

Insurance/PA Coverage for OSA w/o morbid obesity at Anthem?

My PA has been denied because I do not qualify as morbidly obese. I explained on the phone that my diagnosis was OSA not obesity. But it appears that anthem has some inflated BMI requirement to go along with the OSA diagnosis. My doctor’s office has taken three weeks just to send this PA in so before I contact the medical assistant to write an appeal I need to get my ducks in a row. Please tell me if you’ve gotten coverage for OSA without morbid obesity.- just moderate obesity. How many rounds of appeal did you go through and what needs to be said? Thank you so much in advance!!
