Aaaaaughibbrgubugbugrguburgle! RwlRwlRwlRwl!
That's murloc for "Welcome to Murloc Mondays" - where people can ask any type of question about WoW without getting strangled by a Death Knight.
Questions can range from what's new in Dragonflight, what class is OP, and how many Demons will it take to down Thrall?
Questions can come from brand new players, players returning, or veteran players who never got a chance to ask the right question.
Afraid of not getting an answer? Rest assured, we know that at least 90% of questions get answered!
You may want to look at /r/wownoob as well!
Here are some handy guides to start World of Warcraft as a brand new player or start Classic World of Warcraft as a brand new player.
Unless you played in the current expansion, pretty much everything has changed. If you're returning after a very long break, check out the Wowhead Returning Players Guides.

Party member using reflecting prism was an orc male, looks like it put my female trolls skin on his model. He also used the item right as my casting animation was done, no idea how easily re-creatable this is with others but uh. yeah. Im not sleeping tonight.

Honestly it's like RuneScape 3 community all over again who just destroyed a unique server I feel like the classic community here is doing the same thing. They're doing everything in their power to destroy this and make it classic which it's not it's wow forever.
I cleared all 9 tier-11 chambers as a solo mage. A lot of them twice due to previous bugs. It was a bunch of work over hours.
I got to Kindo'jan. I took a flask, applied all the raid buffs, ready to burn through my attempts to hopefully get the Let Me Solo Him Achievement.
I did 3 attempts and it got to bed time. I logged out, but hey, this is literally marketed as a thing that you can play as your own pace, figured I'd pick back up tomorrow.
Turns out that was a fucking lie, when I logged back in I'm outside the Labyrinth. I went back in - no chambers completed, would have to start over from the beginning. I didn't even get to go to the treasure room for my previous 9-chamber tier 11 clear.
I feel like I'm being punished for being excited about this content and trying to clear it. This has been a completely miserable experience for someone who tries really hard to stay positive about the current state of the game.

You all talk as if the Alliance still has the same leaders it’s always had.
Varian is dead, and Anduin is just a shadow of his former self.
Malfurion and Tyrande are no longer the leaders of the Night Elves, and Shandris doesn’t have half the charisma they do.
The dwarves are led by a trio, and Moira’s son, the supposed future king of the dwarves, is just a teenager. The only person with less charisma than him is Arator, who manages the impressive feat of being a 40-year-old bore who acts like a 17-year-old.
Genn Greymane has effectively retired and vanished, and Tess Greymane isn’t even a Worgen.
Velen is the only Draenei who has been truly relevant to the story since Maraad’s death, a death that served merely as a stepping stone to build up Yrel, only for her to be discarded into a secondary Horde questline just to justify an Allied Race.
Mechagnomes are a bad joke.
Jaina and Velen are the only ones among the current Alliance leadership worth anything, much like Thrall and Lor'themar on the Horde side.
The Lightforged Draenei are led by a human, which is ridiculous; it completely erases their own agency and hands the spotlight over to yet another human.
So, in this regard, I actually agree with the Horde players. By the Light, I hope Turalyon dies, maybe then Blizzard will finally make Captain Fareeya the leader of the Lightforged, give her a proper character model, and provide her with at least some focus and development. I’m so tired of this whole "Light and Shadow family" soap opera; the entire Alliance storyline has revolved solely around Turalyon and Alleria ever since Legion.
Just wanted to share. Achieved the 50k mark yesterday.
Started playing on WOTLK, off times every now and then. At the end of Dragonflight i just started collecting stuff for Taivan with something around mid 20k achievement points and somehow i kept attached to it. Lets see how far it will go

Sargeras.
This is some shit I would have expected out of someone like Dimensius. But here you have this giant void monster throwing hands with a space god . The balls it takes to do that. Respect to whoever the hell this void dude is.

Post title says it all. Blizz pushed some hotfixes, which I appreciate. But I'm still experience run-bricking bugs I reported back in the PTR.
Current bugs I'm still dealing with:
- Run ending when I die once despite having multiple lives left
- Floors still not existing, apparently
- Boss deaths still not registering
- No rewards after bricked runs because I can't interact with Kinduru
- Enemies appearing in the loot chamber still attacking me after I die, sometimes leading to a permanent cycle of dying repeatedly in the loot chamber in a combat I can't escape.
- Valeera is made of paper skin and glass bones, but is ready to go to war
Given that it seems like 90% of the development effort for this patch went to the Labyrinth, this is honestly pretty shocking. I know things have been bad lately, but this feels like a whole new level. I genuinely don't know how Blizz thought this was acceptable to release. Genuinely might just unsub until the next patch/expansion.

Warcraft lore is packed with Rogue archetypes, but in game every Rogue plays and looks almost the same regardless of race.
A racial archetype for every playable race, focusing on how we could distinguish them through race specific visuals (only visuals), unlockable through Glyphs, or a new customization option like a talent tree or something else. The outcome matters most, not the way of unlocking them.
This is a list combining lore and some of my ideas. Let me know if I missed some lore, or feel free to drop your own ideas. Or tell me it is a list of bllsht. For visual clarity, these customizations could be toggled off in rated PvP. Additionally players could choose to enable individual customization options rather than being forced into all of them at once.
Warning: because every playable race can be a rogue this will be a long list ! !!
At the bottom of this post, you'll find links to my other race/class combinations, as well as a step by step breakdown of how I created these concepts.
Alliance
Human (SI:7 Agent)
Mathias Shaw. This is a no brainer for me, although for the outlaw spec the rogues of the defias brotherhood or ravenholdt would be better than the agents of SI:7.
Dwarf (Hidden Circle Thief)
Hulfdan Blackbeard. The hidden circle is a dwarf rogue organization, for me the dwarves are treasure hunters so a rogue could go for a thief.
Gnome (Covert Operative)
Kelsey Steelspark. The members of the Gnomeregan Covert Ops are special agents, using gnome technology to fulfil their missions.
Night Elf (Sentinel Shadowblade)
NPC Sentinel Shadowblade. Maiev Shadowsong. Lonika Stillblade, Illiyana Moonblaze I was considering the warden with their toolkit of abilities as a rogue archetype but they are a mix of more than one playable class. But I decided for a lore wise safer version of a rogue in service of the Sentinels.
Draenei (Star Sailor)
Star Captain Barabos. NPCs Star Sailors. This is only a very lightly touched relatively new lore to the Draenei rogues, the star sailors in Exodar with Star Captain Barabos listed as a rogue trainer. I also considered the Rangari because they are scouts and hunters, but I didn't find any Rangari that are listed as a rogue. This is only my speculation but they could have learned to phase shift from the Ethereals from their space journeys.
Worgen (Greywatch Infiltrator)
Tess Greymane, Greywatch Infiltrator. The new queen of the Gilneans Tess Greymane is a rogue. For the name I choose the NPCs mentioned earlier. For attacks there will be an option to attack with your claws instead of your melee weapons. So a worgen rogue is combining the victorian gilnean feel with ferocious attacks.
Void Elf (Voidblade)
NPCs SI:7 Scouts and Blacktalon Assassins. They are transformed by the shadow, so it's no surprise they are good at slipping in it.
Lightforged Draenei (Lightveil Artificer)
Zuronar. Zuronar is a rogue that created the “light flashbang” so my idea is that the lightforged draenei rogues will be rogues that use arkonite crystals and light to blind and also hide from their enemies.
Dark Iron Dwarf (Grim Saboteur)
Dark Iron Saboteur. Hulda Shadowblade. Dark Irons are shadowy and dark so there are many rogues. But they have no archetype, so I mixed the saboteur with a made up lore that the dark iron rogues come from the Grim Guzzler tavern as the primary base for them.
Kul Tiran (Proudmoore Privateer)
Flynn Fairwind. The Kul Tiran rogue is a Pirate. My idea is that a kul tiran rogue is a pirate that is loyal to the proudmoore loyalty. So I chose a pirate from the Freehold (because it has the most pirates active in one place), who is now a Proudmoore privateer.
Mechagnome (Nanoslicer)
Didn't find any. So I made up a concept that the mechagnomes that calibrated the machines that cut the body parts of the gnomes and replaced them with mechanical parts. Very good in anatomy and inflicting pain, with some help of technology to hide from their enemies they were secret agents of the rustbolt resistance. The name itself comes from a melee attack of some mechagnome NPCs.
Neutral
Pandaren (Wu Kao Assassin)
Taoshi. Tenwu of the Red Smoke. Wu Kao discipline of the Shado-Pan includes hunters and rogues. I imagine a pandaren rogue as a ninja-style rogue.
Dracthyr (Blacktalon Agent)
None. This is only my speculation but Wrathions Blacktalon agents are rogues of different races that serve him, so why not include some dracthyr, who have the abilities of a visage form at their disposal and Wrathion teaches them how to perfect it even more. I am aware of the different dracthyr weyrns that have scouts among their ranks, but the blacktalons sounds to me a great mix of new and old lore.
Earthen (Unbound Skulker)
None. The unbound are earthen who left the edicts of the titans. Again only my speculation, but maybe some of them go even further. They ambush the nerubians, use stealth tactics and the nerubian venoms to bring them down.
Haranir (Rootstalker)
None. My idea is that the rootstalkers are the haranir that traveled the most through the rootways, to observe the outer world, but when an enemy revealed them, they used deadly tactics to bring him/her down, so that no one would discover the existence of rootways or haranir. Nowadays these rogue-like combatants see that such a fighting style is common among the other (playable) races.
Horde
Orc (Shattered Hand Assassin)
Thega Graveblade. Garona Halforcen. The order of the shattered hand serves as a horde organization of rogues. They are assassins that use brute strength a little bit more than other races' rogues.
Troll (Darkspear Throatslicer)
Jes'rimon. Darkspear Throatslicer. Not much lore is stated, but I imagine a troll rogue as an expert on venoms through revering the poisonous spider and snake Loa, but also the darkspear troll loa of cunning Kevo ya Siti.
Tauren (Shadetotem)
Boarton Shadetotem. There is also Perith Stormhoof, not a typical rogue but more of a messenger that delivers important messages from the chieftain called a Longwalker. Not very original but I named them shadetotem.
Undead (Deathstalker)
Belmont. Great lore for the deathstalkers, with the help of the royal apothecary society they are one of the most deadly rogues.
Blood Elf (Pathstalker)
Pathstalker Lontral. Also Valeera Sanguinar is a blood elf rogue but I have not chosen her as an inspiration for the archetype. There is also the famous murder row in Silvermoon, but no archetype or strong lore figure is present here for the rogues. The blood elf rogue trainers are called pathstalkers, so I chose them, as rogues of the farstriders.
Goblin (Bilgewater Opportunist)
Marin Noggenfogger. Renzik the Shiv. These two goblin rogues could make a goblin rogue archetype. Marin Noggenfogger is a rogue and one of the biggest alchemists, and Renzik the Shiv who served the SI:7 and was second to only Mathias Shaw. But they are not of the bilgewater cartel who joined the horde.
Highmountain Tauren (Waystalker)
Branami Darkhoof. Totally made up lore, but I imagine them as stalking defenders of the highmountain settlements against the drogbar. They use the mist and winds of the terrain as a way to hide themselves.
Nightborne (Duskwatch Infiltrator)
NPCs Duskwatch Infiltrator. A secretive intelligence organization within Suramar and beyond, that through deceit captures and eliminates the enemies of the Nightborne.
Mag’har Orc (Shattered Hand Mutilator)
Kargath Bladefist. Unlike the modern shattered hand, these rogues of the mag’har orcs still undergo the selfmutilation process of cutting their hand and replacing it with a weapon.
Zandalari Troll (Madcap)
Khar'vaxal the Cracked. Zandalari Madcaps are rogues that bring chaos, madness and unpredictability to their enemies. Also the Madcap’s Outfit is a rogue armor set. My idea is that they use red chaos mirror images to bring chaos to the battlefield.
Vulpera (Bilge Rat)
Captain Eudora. Omi. Vulpera rogues that were under the Bilge Rats banner, a pirate crew of captain eudora, are now rogues that serve the vulpera people. They combine their seafaring skills with their desert scavenging nature like Omi, which is not officially listed as a rogue but with her looks and abilities she is clearly one.

Mages:

My concept: step by step:
First I need to find a name for the archetype, because I have been a wow player for a long time and a lore junkie, some of the archetypes, like an undead deathstalker are simple to find out.
Then comes the race/class combinations that blizz have established very little or any lore at all. There I was searching for an NPC to give me an anchor to what to do next. The best sources I use are wowwiki and some reddit posts.
When there is no NPC or lore figure at all, I continue to make up a name according to the characteristics of the race, like a mechagnome are great engineers and have mechanical body parts, vulpera are resourceful scavengers etc.
When I get the names and NPCs/Lore figures for every race, I do a small description text to every race/class combination, to help me imagine what the archetype should look like.
The next part is the hardest, the visual customizations. And here in most cases I need to run my imagination wild. In this Rogue concept, the majority of the visuals are pure speculation with some lore or made up lore by me, to back it up. I mainly targeted the stealth, poison and shooting/throwing abilities.
There are some visual customizations that are really lore wise accurate and are not present in the game, like a night elf priest using holy light with a moonlight appearance, or a worgen warrior using claws instead of weapons.
My idea is that every race/class combination can have these visual customizations, the lore of wow is so rich that it's a shame that its not present in the game.
The last part is to make an image, only to see an overview of the archetypes. So I use MS paint with downloaded images from the internet. I know I could use photoshop or something better for the image, but I really don't have the skills to do that.
If you read the post to the bottom, the next race/class combination post will be for warlocks, and also I am waiting for the 12.2. patch to do a second version of the paladin concept, with added undead, night elf and troll paladin archetypes.

I am an achievement hunter, and its very annoying that I have this achievmeent thats completed, but isnt.
I got this achievement back when it was just 'completed x quests'. But a few expansions ago it went from completed, to incomplete.
I have made new toons both horde and alliance and completed every step, but nothing ever triggers the completion of this achievement.
I've made tickets over the years and every ticket just tells me they cant do anything and to read wowhead. Up until end of last year no one else seemed to have this issue (now theres 3 different people that have seen it).
Eihter way, this has been broken for years now... if there some way to fix this im missing? or am i stuck with a broken achievemet forever?

I'm on like 4 hours of wipes in various PUGs (staying to help learn the fight until a critical mass of people start dropping group) and it seems like people are just incapable of not popping 3+ adds all at the same time, as soon as they spawn.
I'd like to think I'm not the problem, in most of the groups I've been on the top of the healing meters and among the last to die.
Think tomorrow I'm going to just start my own group instead of joining others to see how it goes, I'd like to at least get it on my vault loot table, but are there any tricks to suggest to people for how not to kill the raid?

I am truly amazed that this thing lasted almost 16 years! IIRC, the order page back in 2010 recommended “replacing within 5 years.” 😅
It was working fine about two months ago, displaying the code with no battery warning. Yesterday, as I was getting my account ready for WoW: Forever, one of the display segments gave a faint, momentary glimmer before fading out completely.
Luckily, Blizzard has automated the process of replacing a non-functioning Authenticator, so I was able to replace it with its app-based counterpart with relative ease.
Part of me still wishes they’d kept the physical Authenticator fobs for old-timers like me -- not because they’re better, but because of the feeling that this tiny device is one of your prized possessions, holding the key to your favorite place to be.
Times change, I suppose, and so should we. 🥲
