[MULTI] What browser multiplayer or co-op games deserve more players? Looking for recommendations and developers to partner with!

Thumbnail
co-op.now
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’m one of the people building Co-Op Now (https://co-op.now), and I’d love some recommendations from this community.

Our ambition is to become a starting point for multiplayer gaming: somewhere to find people you click with, discover games that fit your tastes, and actually get a session going. We want to turn “we should play something sometime” into an evening spent playing together, instead of another evening spent scrolling through games.

We now have over 900 registered users. The platform is currently free to use, and we aren’t charging anyone. Longer term, we want it to cover its own running costs so we can keep developing it sustainably, potentially through an optional membership.

One thing we’d love to offer over time is genuinely fun browser-based multiplayer and co-op games, playable directly on the platform. You could meet people, find something you all want to play, and jump into it together.

So, what games should we be looking at? Small indie projects and hidden gems are very welcome. What’s a browser game you’ve played with friends that made everyone want another round?

And if you’re developing something that could fit, I’d love to hear from you too. Given this community, I’m especially curious about multiplayer projects people are building with AI-assisted development tools.

We’d love to explore partnerships with developers who would be open to integrating their games into Co-Op Now, potentially as part of that future membership. Any integration and commercial arrangement would be something we agree on together.

If you have a recommendation or a project of your own, share a link and tell me what makes it fun to play together!

Dicey Heights – flick a dice down 3D courses, boss levels, etc. [browser / iOS] - best on phone

Thumbnail

FYI, this will play on desktop but it’s really meant for mobile!

My first foray into indie dev, been a fun ride. Flick / roll through procedurally generated 3D courses, beat the boss at the end of each world. There's also a Daily course that's the same for everyone.

Plays right in the browser, no install: diceyheights.com/play
Also on the App Store if you'd rather have it on your phone. If you like it give it a download!

Hell of a time getting organic traffic though, so any thoughts & feedback are hugely appreciated. Thanks all!

A 3D falling-block puzzle that turns every game into a unique world.

In short: Perpetual Drop is a 3D falling-block puzzle game for browser, desktop and android. You build and clear a tower, and a living city rises around it while you play, with traffic, people, weather and a day that builds up to a highlight. There are 20 themed worlds (5 in the free browser version):

  • from a neon future city and
  • a haunted Halloween castle
  • to a frozen lake,
  • a growing moon base and
  • a football stadium built in a single day.

Eight special abilities, a variety of game modes and other mechanics give you plenty of reasons to come back and play every day. Each world invites you to keep exploring and discovering something new.

Does the web-game work on mobile? Yes, with touch controls.

Arsenal Zero – open crates, send squads on expeditions, build a military arsenal [HTML5]

Thumbnail
arsenalzero.com
0 Upvotes

Arsenal Zero is a free browser game, launched this week.

How it works:

- Open crates to unlock weapons and gear (all fictional names)

- Send your loadout on expeditions to earn resources

- Combat is automatic, but tapping at the right moment triggers a critical bonus

- One power stat, no spreadsheet math

It plays on desktop and mobile browsers, nothing to download.

It's an early version, so feedback is very welcome: what feels slow, what's unclear, what you'd want next. More weapons and game modes are on the way.

This is a very silly totally free to play multiplayer space shooter with wild weapons including a black hole bomb which you have to die to activate, absurd bosses, crowds of NPCs and hopefully humans, lightening (every game needs lightening) and of course, a giant mine laying space worm.

Free to play, mobile, tablet and desktop. No sign in. All I ask is you beat my colleagues high score he worked so hard to get.

Flipyard – slam milk caps, flip them, fill a 1,120-cap album (free, browser, PC + phone)

Thumbnail

Hi! I made a small physics game about the milk-cap ("pog" / "tazo") craze I grew up with in 90s Turkish schoolyards.

Aim at the edge of the stack, hold to charge, release in the orange zone. Every cap that lands face-up is yours. Tilting your slammer, switching to a heavier or oddly shaped one, or changing the table surface all change how the caps fly. It's real physics, no hidden assists.

- 1,120 caps across 7 series, from cardboard to crystal

- Hire neighbourhood kids who keep flipping stacks while you're away

- 12 rivals to beat in stake matches, 42 trick challenges

- Free, no ads, no sign-up

It's an early version and I'd love feedback, especially: did the first few minutes make sense, and when did you stop? Art was made with AI tools; the code and design are mine. The game sends anonymous gameplay stats (you can turn them off in Settings).

[SIM] Free life/management sim game: The Come Up; Help please! I need help reviewing my game, feedback welcome!

I just put out a big update for my first game, The Come Up. It's a free life/management sim you play in the browser. You inherit your aunt's corner store, run it legit or sell out the back room, and the whole block remembers what you do. Raids, fires, protests and getting caught cheating all happen live on the street now.

Free to play! Trailer

[RPG] Crown & Plough – you're born at random somewhere in Europe between 117 and 1850 and live one life, year by year [free, no signup, works on mobile]

Thumbnail
crownandplough.com
1 Upvotes

I'm a solo dev and this is my browser game.

Pick an era – Rome (117), Medieval (1200), Renaissance (1500), Revolution (1789) or Victorian (1850) – and you're born at random, usually as a peasant. Each year you choose what to focus on and deal with whatever life throws at you. If you ever get land, you can declare wars, marry into royal houses and chase rumors of lost relics. When you die, you pick an heir and keep going.

My last test run: a fisherman's daughter born in Spoleto in 1489. She got a tiny plot of land at 39 and was crowned Queen of Spoleto at 61.

It runs on a timer (1×–8×), so you can make every decision yourself or hand things to a regent and watch your house rise or fall.

Play: https://crownandplough.com (English / 한국어 / 日本語 / 中文)

I'd love feedback, especially on pacing – does it feel too slow or too fast at 4×?

[RPG] Zombie#8 - I made a game about a background zombie in someone else's MMO. The whole story is out now.

Thumbnail

Every other zombie in the cathedral is named "Zombie." He's "Zombie #8." Nobody knows why, including him.

Heroes come through and kill everyone about once an hour. He pulls himself back together. It's fine. Then a patch moves the girl he loves somewhere else in the dungeon, and for the first time a mob just walks off his spawn to go find her.

It's a short story game with a lot of dying in it. You hide from raids, lure a hero under a chandelier that's hung by one rope for 300 years, do favors for gargoyles, and keep getting in a speedrunner's way until he files a ticket to have you deleted.

The prologue and all six chapters are done. Free, plays on your phone or in the browser:

Murdoku — sudoku, but the grid is a crime scene and the killer is the one left alone with the victim. Free, browser, no signup

Thumbnail

It's one of six puzzle games on the site, all running on engines I wrote from scratch. Player feedback already fixed real things: the nonogram win check and the shikaku tutorial gesture were both changed the same day after players caught them.

https://gridpaw.com/murdoku/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post

If you try a case, tell me where the deduction chain broke for you, or whether any statement read unfair. Statement clarity is the part I keep second-guessing.

Hi! I'm the solo dev. Heatwave is a short real-time management game about surviving a heatwave at work with no AC.

How it plays:

- Mash Space to keep your work bar up (or you get fired)

- Answer your boss's increasingly absurd messages while he calls you from his pool

- Fix the breaker when the power grid gives up

- Spend your salary in the shop between days, and unlock different endings

5 days, about 30 minutes, multiple endings. FR/EN. Works in the browser on desktop and now on mobile too (touch controls).

Made in vanilla JavaScript, no engine or library. Feedback is very welcome, especially on difficulty and on the mobile version!

Out of Pixkrieg — a browser extraction RTS where rescued units join your army

Thumbnail pixkrieg.com
2 Upvotes

I'm the developer. This is the first playable prototype of Out of Pixkrieg, a multiplayer extraction RTS that runs in your browser.

You take a squad into a raid, fight bandit camps or other players, gather resources and find equipment. You can also rescue captives who join your group. Get them home and they're part of your roster for the next run.

That's the part I like most: finding a useful recruit gives you another reason to leave alive. Survivors gain experience, and between raids you can equip them and build up your camp. Downed units can be revived but doing so results in permanent death, means you losing the unit and its gear.

The playtest is free and open until Sunday, October 18 at 10:00 CEST / 08:00 UTC. You can start as a guest, with nothing to install.

It's still rough. If you try it, I'd be interested in the first point where you become unsure what to do, and whether you want to take your squad into another raid.

Full trailer, if you'd like a longer look first.

[MULTI] Curvytron 2, three months later: smarter bots, a kill log and end-of-round stats (free browser multiplayer, no login)

Thumbnail
curvytron2.com
4 Upvotes

Hi r/WebGames! In July I shared Curvytron 2, my 3D remake of the Achtung die Kurve-style party game I made 10 years ago. Thanks for all the games and the feedback!

Here's what changed since then on https://curvytron2.com ↓

Bots got a brain. Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde now plan their routes through open space, avoid areas an opponent will reach first, and each has their own taste in bonuses. Solo games are a real fight now.

Kill log. See who knocked out whom, live. And a player who is invincible can ram through a trail and get the kill.

End-of-round stats. After each game, every player gets their stats and an award 🏆, and you can download yours as an image to brag about it.

Smoother. No more frame freeze the first time a bonus shows up, lighter servers, and more reliable reconnection when your connection drops. The UI also scales up properly on large and 4K screens.

Now in German, along with English and French.

Still a handmade side project: free, no login, no ads.
Try to beat the bots, invite friends, and tell me what you'd like next!
