[MULTI] Curvytron 2, three months later: smarter bots, a kill log and end-of-round stats (free browser multiplayer, no login)

Thumbnail
curvytron2.com
• Upvotes

Hi r/WebGames! In July I shared Curvytron 2, my 3D remake of the Achtung die Kurve-style party game I made 10 years ago. Thanks for all the games and the feedback!

Here's what changed since then on https://curvytron2.com ↓

Bots got a brain. Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde now plan their routes through open space, avoid areas an opponent will reach first, and each has their own taste in bonuses. Solo games are a real fight now.

Kill log. See who knocked out whom, live. And a player who is invincible can ram through a trail and get the kill.

End-of-round stats. After each game, every player gets their stats and an award 🏆, and you can download yours as an image to brag about it.

Smoother. No more frame freeze the first time a bonus shows up, lighter servers, and more reliable reconnection when your connection drops. The UI also scales up properly on large and 4K screens.

Now in German, along with English and French.

Still a handmade side project: free, no login, no ads.
Try to beat the bots, invite friends, and tell me what you'd like next!

Out of Pixkrieg — a browser extraction RTS where rescued units join your army

Thumbnail pixkrieg.com
2 Upvotes

I'm the developer. This is the first playable prototype of Out of Pixkrieg, a multiplayer extraction RTS that runs in your browser.

You take a squad into a raid, fight bandit camps or other players, gather resources and find equipment. You can also rescue captives who join your group. Get them home and they're part of your roster for the next run.

That's the part I like most: finding a useful recruit gives you another reason to leave alive. Survivors gain experience, and between raids you can equip them and build up your camp. Downed units can be revived but doing so results in permanent death, means you losing the unit and its gear.

The playtest is free and open until Sunday, October 18 at 10:00 CEST / 08:00 UTC. You can start as a guest, with nothing to install.

It's still rough. If you try it, I'd be interested in the first point where you become unsure what to do, and whether you want to take your squad into another raid.

Full trailer, if you'd like a longer look first.

Hexacon.io - a battle royal train network games!

Thumbnail hexacon.io
• Upvotes

Hello! I'm here to present Hexacon.io
It's a train battle royal game; you must build your network until the end of the timer or bankruptcy.

It's simple at first but you'll understand that the mechanics goes deeper if you keep on playing. We can play up to 100 players in the same game and the team games are also fun!

I'd be very grateful if you tried to a do a game and give me feedback. I'll try to answer to everyone and fix as much as I can. Please note that:

  • The landing page games only start with at least two human players in, so you need to make your own game if you don't have a friend to test it with.
  • It is not mobile ready yet, it's only computer browser for now.

I tried to respect all the rules of the sub, I hope I didn't get it wrong 😅

[MULTI] MAYDAY : my online co-op bomb defusal game

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com
• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I just released MAYDAY, an online co-op game: one player can see the bomb but not the defusal manual, the others have the manual but can't see the bomb. Voice chat is built into the game, bombs are randomly generated, no two bombs are ever the same.
The game is available in English, French and Spanish.

Play for free:
iPhone app: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6811154420
Browser (nothing to install): https://maydaygame.fr

It's best with 2-4 players (solo mode available for practice). All feedback is welcome : bugs, modules too hard or too easy, I'll answer everything here.

Good luck, and may the best defuser win. 🧨

[ARC] Brushsworn - an ink-wash survivors-like where every skill is a Chinese character

Thumbnail
stonebell.itch.io
• Upvotes

Hi, solo dev here. Quick rundown:

  • Free, no download, no ads. Runs in desktop and mobile browsers, saves in your browser.
  • Move with WASD / arrow keys (or the on-screen stick on mobile). Skills fire on their own; you pick upgrades as you level.
  • Every skill is a Chinese character, and they merge as you play: 木 + 木 → 林 (grove), 日 + 月 → 明 (bright). You don't need to read Chinese.
  • Press Space (or the Auto button) to let it play itself, then spend what you bring back at your camp between runs.
  • The music is played live by the game: each character you pick up joins the band.

A run is about 8-10 minutes. Feedback very welcome, especially if something was unclear in the first few minutes.

AI disclosure: most of the code was written with an AI coding assistant (Claude), with the design and direction being mine. No AI-generated art or audio: the visuals are drawn in code with brush fonts, the music is generated live by the game, and the instrument samples are CC0 recordings.

Today's MatchGame topic:

You don’t have vote for them, you just have to recognize them.

Today's quiz was chosen by an overwhemling MatchGame community vote.

Try some challenges! We also have some new features in the pipeline! Stay tuned!

Many thanks for playing.. and keep those quiz ideas and coffee contributions coming!

In yesterday's "cartoon bird" quiz, we had 95.6% perfect and "Attilisk" was the speed demon clocking in at 9.143 seconds!

Murdoku — sudoku, but the grid is a crime scene and the killer is the one left alone with the victim. Free, browser, no signup

Thumbnail
gridpaw.com

It's one of six puzzle games on the site, all running on engines I wrote from scratch. Player feedback already fixed real things: the nonogram win check and the shikaku tutorial gesture were both changed the same day after players caught them.

https://gridpaw.com/murdoku/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post

If you try a case, tell me where the deduction chain broke for you, or whether any statement read unfair. Statement clarity is the part I keep second-guessing.

Rocket Roadster - drive the flying Tesla up the ramp upside down, then fire the thrusters and fly

Thumbnail
bumshi.com
1 Upvotes

Made this after watching the flying Roadster demo at McGregor. You hit 93 to 99 mph on the runway, the suction fans hold you on the curved ramp until you're upside down, then you launch off the lip, roll upright and get ~60 seconds of flight on 10 thrusters: rings, fireballs, dragons, and you have to stick the landing. Compressed air runs out as you fire the jets, so you pick up canisters along the way.

Works on phones in landscape too.

Feedback on the controls is very welcome, that's the part I'm still tuning.

[RPG] Dungeon Loop – browser co-op dungeon crawler with WoW-style controls, no install [Multiplayer] [Desktop]

Thumbnail dungeon-loop.com
2 Upvotes

Desktop only (keyboard + mouse).

Hey! I've been building a multiplayer dungeon crawler that runs right in the browser. No download, just open the link and play.

If you've played WoW or Fellowship, it'll feel familiar: action bar, cooldowns, cast bars, aggro, taunts, heals.

It's just a fun game to grind dungeons, get gear, and play with people:

  • Everyone shares the same world, so you'll run into other players
  • Invite anyone to your party and run dungeons together
  • Level up from kills and mix talent trees however you want
  • 8 hand-made dungeons that get harder as you go, with loot and gold that stick between runs

I'm focused on making the combat fun first. Let me know what feels good or bad, especially if you try it with friends!

Meadowfold — building a little 3D landscape, one hex tile at a time

Thumbnail
dynamicarcades.com
2 Upvotes

We make Meadowfold at Dynamic Arcades. It is a browser tile-placement game built around growing a little 3D landscape.

One thing we have learned while working on it: checking that a game runs is not the same as knowing whether a new player understands it or wants another round. That is the part we would like feedback on.

If you give it a try, where did you first hesitate? And after the first round, did you want to play again? Honest criticism is useful.

Disclosure: this is our game. No download or account is needed to play.

Pourdle, a daily game where you pour water to an exact % by volume, with no markings on the glass

Thumbnail
pourdle.app
1 Upvotes

Every day you get 5 glasses, each with a target like “fill to 54%”. The catch: it’s measured by volume, not height, and the glasses come in odd shapes, so you have to read the shape.

I need feedback, and any ideas, thanks!
