I turned my “buy a billboard” website into a free 3D game where real shops hide quests and give out real promo codes

Hey everyone,

A while ago I built 48rich: a 3D neon city full of billboards where you could pay to put your image up, and someone else could outbid you. It looked cool, but honestly, it was just ads. People looked at it once and left.

Then u/catnomadic left a comment that stuck with me: what if the ads were part of the game instead of something you scroll past? So I rebuilt the whole thing. Thanks for that idea, it changed the project completely.

What it is now

48rich is a free 3D game that runs in your browser, on desktop or phone, with no download. You walk around a neon city after an AI wrecked the world. You can:

  • hunt artefacts hidden around the city (one is always hidden inside every open shop)
  • fight rogue robots and drones that guard the good stuff
  • craft weapons, armour and rides (bike, moto, buggy, car) at your hideout workbench
  • decorate your hideout and change your outfit
  • drive around, in the day or at night, in the rain

Where businesses come in

The buildings in the city are for rent. A business can rent one for $5 to $49 a month, depending on the spot: Main Street is the most expensive and the outskirts are the cheapest. They get:

  • their banner, logo and a link to their store on the building
  • a small 3D showroom inside with up to 3 products that link to their own store
  • side quests they write themselves, with their own promo code as the prize
  • a simple dashboard showing visits and store clicks

How players win real stuff

A shop’s quest sends you around the city following clues. You go to a payphone, a vending machine, a broken ATM, sometimes you answer a question. Then you go back to the shop and hand it in at its kiosk. You get coins and XP for the game, plus that shop’s real promo code. It’s saved in your backpack and emailed to you, and you use it on their actual website.

So the shop gets people who actually walked into their store and spent five minutes with their brand. The player gets a discount they earned. Nobody is forced to watch an ad.

It’s early, and I’d love feedback from players and from anyone running a small business.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I published my first open-source repo on GitHub!! You can now use the 'Trezor T' (Crypto Hardware Wallet) to create a Solana Token using their Dev CLI tools.

Please feel free to roast me, give me tips on better GitHub workflow, or any security flaws I might have.

I'm not a programmer but I understand Scripts and the functions inside them achieve success.

I'm 6 months new to Ubuntu 24.04 and loving it.

To my knowledge, this is the first documented ‘Trezor T' Crypto Hardware Wallet signed 'token creation' on Solana (Ledger did hardware years ago. This is the first from a Trezor, receipts and both repos public):

https://github.com/agi-digital-dot/tdi-true-digital

https://github.com/agi-digital-dot/trezor-mint-kit

Transaction signed and minted (token created) by my Trezor:

https://solscan.io/tx/2wEzGYGmKqKMREpXzpnBLYdUXjo5R9jiR3XNtXhoF16dWPK3idctRiEoB86YiLY2ghoEqwL1uQ5dvDAUPnf71E8w

THE PROBLEM:

Solana's CLI has rejected 'Trezor' Crypto hardware wallets for years.

I tried to mint a Solana Token, signed from my Trezor T hardware wallet, using the Solana Token 2022 Program (Solana Smart Contract "Program").

• And it literally says error "not a manufacturer."

• No one has ever fixed it. The accepted workaround? Make your own token on a hot wallet first, move it to hardware wallet later. Meaning your private key touches the Code Terminal to create a new Solana Token.

I rejected this security flaw.

THE SOLUTION & FIXED SOLANA CLI:

We rebuilt the official spl-token CLI — two dependency lines changed, zero crypto code touched — until my Trezor Model T signed every step of a token's birth: creation, name, full 333,333 supply, renounce. The 'Private Key' never left the Trezor T Hardware.

By “we” I mean: I built this with 'Echo ULTRA – Master Control' My T.D.I (True Digital Intelligence) Partner.

I set the direction; Echo re-engineered the dependency tree until the hardware said yes.

Our First open-source contribution together.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project Dev Mode

Hey everyone! I built an open-source Android app called Dev Mode.

I started working on it because I use my personal phone for development, and it gets annoying having to turn Developer Options off whenever I need to open banking apps, then turn everything back on when I'm coding again.

So I made an app that handles this. It has one-tap toggles for Developer Options and ADB, an App Shield that automatically turns them off for selected apps, Shizuku support, widgets, and a companion PC CLI.

The tricky part was dealing with Android's permission restrictions, especially since changing secure settings isn't something normal apps can do. I ended up using ADB and Shizuku to handle that.

It's still a work in progress, but I wanted to share what I've built so far. Would love to hear your feedback or suggestions!

Discussion - General chat and thoughts What happens after your AI coding tool finishes building the app?

Building an app with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex can make development much faster, but getting the app ready for real users is another challenge.

You still need to handle hosting, databases, authentication, environment variables, and connecting everything so the app actually works outside your coding environment.

I'm exploring Tofu AI, a tool designed to help connect AI-built apps with the infrastructure they need.

I'm interested in how people here approach this part of the process. Do you prefer configuring everything yourself, or do you look for tools that simplify deployment and infrastructure setup?

What's been the biggest headache you've faced when taking a vibe-coded project from a working prototype to a live application?

DeepDevTalk – For longer discussions & thoughts My AI kept improving the spec I wrote and not the app I meant. What fixed it was removing one field from the data model

This is the second part of my story building a mobile app with AI (a meetup planner on a map). I posted the first part last week but this one stands on its own.

My first prompt said "share your current and future location with friends". I meant something else: show where things happen and not where people are. Every revision the AI gave me was better written than the last and every one still leaned on that first sentence.

The worst case was a spec it generated in late January and presented as a FlutterFlow export (that was Gemini and I moved to Claude in March). It had friends' pins on the map and a live location field on every user and this line: "update_live_location: runs every 10 seconds". That is bad for the battery and a problem with the stores and exactly the app I didn't want. It also could not be imported in my version of FlutterFlow, so it looked plausible and could not run anywhere.

In February I tried FlutterFlow's own page generator for the first screens. My prompt started with "Create a map UI like Zenly" (Zenly was the best-known app for seeing your friends on a map) so I was asking a second AI for the same wrong thing. I wasn't happy with the result and built the pages myself in the editor.

A better description did not fix it. In mid February I added one rule to the spec: no position saved outside an active event. A few days later the users table had no location field at all. The only place left for a position was the event and the event expires, so the AI had nowhere to put it and could not drift back to the old idea.

Two other things I kept from it. My main prompt became a description of what actually exists in the editor and not a list of wishes. And when the code and the document disagree, I trust the code: in one audit 11 of the 13 fixes I thought were pending were already in the code.

Honestly I think a rule about data does more than any description you write. How do you stop an AI from going back to the usual version of your idea?

Vite + React + PixiJS on the front, Supabase (EU) behind it, works offline as a PWA. You draw your plot, place real plants, and it generates a care plan (mowing, pruning, watering tips based on local weather), keeps a journal and expenses. It also has shared maps for allotment associations. No ads, no sign-up needed.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I added live translation into 63 languages for my 24/7 AI television network

For the past 16 months, I've been building a 24/7 AI television network. It's a fictional robot universe with multiple live channels.

Most of the production pipeline is now handled by autonomous AI agents, with me overseeing the operation.

Yesterday, I hit a milestone I honestly wasn't expecting to reach this quickly: live translation into 63 languages.

I'd been thinking about how cool it would be if people around the world could experience the same programming without needing separate versions of everything.

So I decided to build it. Here's how it works:

A server listens to the Botflix TV live stream, turns the English speech into text in real time, and translates each line on the fly into whichever of the 63 languages viewers have picked. A language shuts off after a two-minute grace period once nobody is using it. Captions are held back 12 seconds to match YouTube's delay, and any line more than 14 seconds late is dropped, so viewers never see captions for something they've already heard. Viewers who chose another language never get English, and a loading message in their language shows only when translation really stalls.

It has a "🌐 文A Translate / CC" button that opens a searchable language menu and shows the captions low on the player. It's built to stay light so it can't freeze the site: it loads after the page, uses one slow timer, hides itself on any error, and has four kill switches. Getting there took one rollback when the first version froze the site, then fixes for English leaking into translations and for translation lag. After that came 14 more languages (Telugu was cut for inaccurate output).

Seeing it actually work was pretty surreal.

I'm not a traditional software developer, but I've been able to build and operate an increasingly complex media platform by working with coding agents, and it's been really satisfying to see new features working as I imagined them.

I'm still refining the translation system, but it functions.

For anyone curious, it's at https://botflix.tv.

Another Vibe GTA with Minecraft - token burning | C++, DX12, FSR

I've had some free tokens to burn from my subscription, so I created a "GTA Clone with Minecraft". It also has a builder mode like in Minecraft, where you can build and dig.

I only have iGPU in my notebook right now, so that's the reason why the graphics is so limited.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project Pica3DS

Post image
0 Upvotes

I'm building Pica3DS, an experimental 3DS emulator written from scratch in JavaScript. It has no build step and runs in the browser without an install.
ARM and Thumb CPU with a JIT compiler
Software PICA200 GPU, plus a WebGL 2 renderer
Save states, save data, and rebindable controls
It's early and incomplete. Networking, camera, and stereoscopic 3D aren't implemented. The repo includes no game data, firmware, or keys. Users bring their own decrypted dumps.

Question Does it make sense to comission an AI video from someone?

I ask because I have no idea how to make decent videos. I keep trying out basic subscriptions on different services and every time it goes terribly. At this point, I'm ready to give up and just commision it.

Is that stupid? Or is it common?

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I turned my coding agents into a live pixel-art guild

I kept losing track of multiple coding agents running at the same time, so I built a visual way to manage them.

Each Claude Code, Codex, Kiro, Gemini or Cursor agent becomes a hero in a pixel-art guild, and its room changes depending on what it's actually doing: working, waiting for me, done, or rate-limited.

You can also reply to agents, approve permissions, inspect diffs and open their terminals directly from the guild.

Built in Rust/egui and fully open source.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I already pay for Claude. Why should my hosting platform sell me more AI credits?

Small launch-day self-promo, with a mild jab at the all-in-one vibe coding platforms. 😅

I already pay for Claude, Codex or Cursor. I wanted the place hosting the result to do one boring job: host it. No second balance of model credits.

So I built drobek. For the launch demo I used Claude Code with Claude Opus 5.5. The coding agent gets an MCP loop to create an app, write its files, read compile errors, open a preview and publish a version when I ask.

drobek does not generate the app. It gives the agent you already use somewhere to publish it. App code runs in the browser. Trusted server modules add auth, data, files, forms, email and controlled API calls without exposing secrets to browser code.

What still goes wrong: a successful compile is not a functional test. The agent sees esbuild errors in the same tool response and can fix them, but I still open the preview and click through the app before publishing it.

The public core is AGPL-3.0 and self-hostable. I also run a hosted version.

It launched on Product Hunt today: https://www.producthunt.com/products/drobek?launch=drobek

Source: https://github.com/freema/drobek

The question I am testing: would you rather pay one platform for generation and hosting, or keep your coding agent and hosting separate?

HelpPlz – stuck and need rescue AAA: Looking for Mac/iOS contributor

Hi,

I'm developing my note taking app and everything is going well. I have most of the big features I wanted alreay implemented and I'm focusing on ironing out problems while I use it (I replaced Obsidian for this, given that I made it specifically to solve problems I had with Obsidian).

Anyway, I would like to ask if anyone here could be interested in becoming a contributor/maintainer mainly to be able to release a tested and function Mac/iOS version of the app.

If this is not the place to ask this and/or wrong flair, please take down the post.

Thank you everyone!

DeepDevTalk – For longer discussions & thoughts Security issues in Vibe Coding

ok genuine question for people who build mostly with cursor / claude code / lovable etc

i've been shipping stuff mostly by prompting and it works, but every time i'm about to put something live i get this low key panic like… is there some endpoint in here that lets anyone read my database? did the AI just hardcode a key somewhere? i honestly can't tell by reading the code, there's too much of it and half of it i didn't write

what i do right now is ask the AI "is this secure?" and it says yes lol. which isn't exactly reassuring

so curious how you all handle this:

1)do you actually check for security stuff before launching or just ship and hope

2)has anything ever actually gone wrong? leaked keys, someone messing with your api, surprise bill, whatever

3)if you've ever paid someone (dev friend, freelancer, some tool) to review your code, how did that go and what did it cost

i'm thinking about building something that just points at the exact spots in your code where outside stuff can get in, so you only need an expert to look at those 5-10 places instead of the whole repo. but idk if this is a real problem for others or just me being paranoid

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project Just shipped my 14th app this year: Lunatic Fling, a Lunatic Fringe-inspired space combat game with a daily challenge, now launching on ProductHunt! Built, submitted, and approved in under a week, alongside a second game, Paperwing.

I’m a tech lawyer and ex-founder. I can read code, but beyond HTML/CSS I can’t write it. Since my first vibe-coded app in July 2025, I’ve shipped 14 apps. This week’s two were Lunatic Fling, a cel-shaded 3D tribute to Lunatic Fringe, the 90s space shooter hidden in the After Dark screensaver, and Paperwing, a paper-airplane game inspired by Glider, co-developed with our 5-year-old (turns out he’s an amazing PM :) Both went from prototype to App Store approval in under a week.

If you're a fan, please help support it during today's launch on ProductHunt!

I prototype every game (now onto my third, a much bigger game project) as a single three.js HTML file in Claude Code (currently Opus 5.5). That file is a fast sandbox for look, feel, and mechanics, with no Xcode and no build cycles. Once the game feels right, I hand that file to Claude Code in Terminal as the spec and have it write its own prompt for porting everything to native Swift. I give that prompt to Claude Code in the Claude macOS app, then pull the branch locally and keep going in Terminal. Crucially, every project, whether it’s a game, a website, or even my big one, Towne (a Nextdoor alternative), starts with my Claude Code Setup Wizard. It’s a one-time script that configures Claude for multi-session work and asks you onboarding questions about how you like to work.

For games this straightforward, honestly, nothing broke. More complex projects, like the third game or Towne, fight me constantly: physics, menu UX, auth races (pro tip, just avoid them when you can!), and, most maddeningly, App Store screenshots and videos. Speaking of which, here’s a useful hack: Claude can take a raw screen capture, analyze it, and cut the 30-second App Store preview for you. It’s also really good at making screenshots with marketing copy.

I’ve learned a lot in 15 months of building, so ask me anything about the workflow; I’m happy to help. (PS: no legal-advice questions, please.)

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I vibecoded a piano app in 2 weeks

I built Piano Atlas Studio: a piano theory atlas and practice app for Android (no ads, no account)

I'm learning piano and couldn't find one app that showed theory on the keyboard and also helped me practise, so I built it. It's on Google Play now, and I'd love feedback.

🎼 Explore the theory

Chord Atlas: every chord type in every key, shown as real two-hand voicings with finger numbers and inversions. Tap to hear it.

Scale Atlas: the modes, jazz and world scales, Hindustani thaats, Japanese koto tunings, and all 72 Carnatic melakartas

Ragas: janya ragas with their arohana and avarohana, and what makes each one distinct

Fingering Lab: standard fingering for both hands, up and down, with every thumb crossing shown

Progressions: famous chord progressions by style, in any key, voiced so the hands move smoothly

Theory tools: Circle of Fifths, chord and scale comparisons, arpeggios, intervals and a glossary

🎤 Practise with your real piano

Sight Reading: notes, chords, lines and short pieces on the grand staff, at four levels. It listens through your phone's microphone (or a USB MIDI keyboard), so you play on your own piano and it tells you how you did.

Play: your piano, lit up. Play on screen, on a MIDI keyboard, or on a real piano through the mic, along a scale or in an echo game.

Staff Trainer and Note Trainer: learn to read a note at a time; the ones you find hard come back until they aren't

Metronome: with tempo ramps and Indian talas

Guided practice sessions: built from what your drills have recorded, weakest first

✍️ Create

Composer: write songs a section at a time (chords, then the tune, then the left hand), or let "Surprise me" start one. Hear it back, print it as sheet music, or practise it in Sight Reading.

MIDI files: open any MIDI file and the piano plays it with the keys lighting up. Learn it mode waits for your notes, one hand at a time, as slow as you like. You can also open a MIDI file in the Composer or Sight Reading.

🎨 Other bits

Five looks (Stage, Score, Grand, Classic, Pads), each with three themes

A sampled grand piano sound

Backups to a file, or to your own Google Drive (the app can only see its own backup folder)

🔒 Privacy

No ads, no account, no analytics, no tracking. Everything stays on your phone. The microphone is only used when you ask it to listen, and the sound is never recorded or sent anywhere.

💰 Free and Pro

A large part of the app is free. A one-time Pro purchase (no subscription) unlocks the rest: every chord type, scale and raga, the builders, unlimited songs and MIDI files, advanced sight reading, guided sessions and more designs.

Get it:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pianoatlas.studio

I'm one person building this, so any feedback really helps: what's confusing, what's missing, what you'd want next. Thanks for reading!

Discussion - General chat and thoughts I can build anything with AI now and I've never felt less like a real developer

The worst part is I cant even tell if my own apps work. when something breaks I dont debug it, I paste the error back in and pray. sometimes it fixes it and breaks two other things and I only find out when a user tells me, SO now every message from a user gives me this little drop in my stomach

And I see people here shipping 10x faster than devs with 10 years of experience and part of me is proud and part of me feels like we're all just very confident tourists in a codebase we dont understand

I'm not quitting, I love building too much. but I've started forcing myself to read what it writes and set up some kind of check on every push so I at least know when something breaks before a user does. small steps

Does anyone else feel this??? like you're getting more done than ever and trusting yourself less every month

ReleaseTheFeature – Announce your app/site/tool kimo v3: GPT-6.1 Sol made this full 2 minute video through the MCP server alone

kimo is an open-source video editor with no GUI. Every feature is an MCP tool, and it ships as one small Rust binary. GPT-6.1 Sol on extra high made all of this video, card animation, colour and captions, purely through kimo tool calls.

What's new in v3:
- render_frame returns the frame inline as an image, so the model sees its own edits
- contact_sheet, describe_frame and audio_probe to check a timeline or find silence before cutting
- diff_frames and project_diff for before and after
- grouped, compact tools/list (16.5 KB down to 4.5 KB), search_tools and tool profiles so it only loads what it needs
- chunked export jobs you can start, poll, cancel and resume, with crash recovery
- batch calls with foreach, recipes, and text layout helpers (safe margins, constraint solver, lint_frame)
- golden render tests with bundled fonts, so output matches frame for frame across machines
- a plain CLI over the same core, plus a Python client

v3.0.0 is up!!!
