Hosted MCP server for a personal knowledge store: feedback on search and save tools
Looking for feedback from people who run MCP servers in daily use. The server is hosted and exposes a few tools over a personal knowledge store: search by meaning, fetch one item, and save a note. Setup: npx @mymemory.dev/mcp setup. The API caps requests per minute, and there is a free plan to try it on.
Questions I'd like answered:
Do the tool descriptions make it obvious when to search and when to save? Is one "save" tool better than separate note and link tools? Should search return snippets only, with a separate fetch for the full text? Docs: https://docs.mymemory.dev

I didn't want to give Claude Code access to my kubeconfig, so I built an MCP server that makes the agent ask first
Hi, I'm Sergio, the author of kubelatch.
I use Claude Code to debug Kubernetes, and it's good at it. The problem was access: either I gave it my kubeconfig, so it could do everything I can and the audit log only showed me, or I asked for a bot, which nobody sets up for a ten-minute task.
kubelatch is an access proxy for Kubernetes, and it ships a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, OAuth in the browser):
- You authorize the agent yourself, with fewer permissions than you have (read-only by default) and for a few hours.
- Writes (apply, delete, scale, rollout restart) wait for your approval, with a dry-run preview of the change. In Claude Code the approval shows up as a URL elicitation.
- Secret values come back redacted unless the agent calls read_secret, which gets its own audit entry.
- If the cluster answers 403, the agent can call request_access and ask a person for more, for a set number of minutes.
- Every call lands in the audit log as you, through the agent, and you can cut it off at any moment.
Heads up: it's not open source. It's free for 2 clusters and 5 people (agents don't count as people), and it already runs in production. It works with Claude Code, Cursor or any client that does Streamable HTTP with OAuth.
Agents guide: https://docs.kubelatch.com/use/ai-agents/ MCP reference: https://docs.kubelatch.com/reference/mcp/ Repo (Claude Code plugin included): https://github.com/picaportelabs/kubelatch
How are you giving agents access to infra right now? And has anyone else here used URL elicitation for approvals?

Homebrew alternatives to setup GA MCP with Claude
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to set up GA MCP with Claude however I can't install homebrew because I have an Intel-based Macbook and it's no longer supported. Are there any alternatives to homebrew out there that I can use?
I'm using Macbook pro 2019 MacOs Sequoia
Thanks in advance!

Help testing my chrome use
Hello everyone, I am a solo developer who has been unhappy with computer use and other mcps out there that help control chrome. I have been developing my own computer use specifically for chrome that can take screenshots, work in the foreground, background, and headless, work for codex, claude code, and opencode, and also allow clicks, human speed typing, fast typing, inserting files, downloading files, drags, scrolls, etc. all while using fewer commands/tokens than competitors like computer use and playwright. Right now it is in development stage with all the features being present, but i need a lot of real testing from people on their everyday tasks to see where it is going wrong/not as fast or as good. It includes adding an extension to your chrome, and is different than other chrome mcps in my opinion. If y'all would be able to test it out/give me tips or tricks to make it better, I would really appreciate it. All the computer uses are currently made by organizations, so as a solo developer I am interested in any feedback and would actually make changes. https://github.com/Praket7/chrome-controlla feel free to star it and open issues and give me ANY feedback. If i had to pick, humanwrite would be my favorite built in feature and what is most unique, but it should be faster and more efficient. let me know what you guys think!

For MCP developers
Hey guys so if you guys create mcp you know what trouble everyone goes through: having to reload the mcp and the server each time an edit is made to actually test it out and see if the improvement worked. For me, it wasted time, tokens, and shortened coding runs with codex cuz it kept needing to test and test and it needed me to do that. So, I created https://github.com/Praket7/hotload-mcp mcp hotload. It registers your mcp as a child of the hotload mcp and can restart its servers at any time, so you can instruct your agent to register the developing mcp and use it for live tests. It will show the newest tools available to it within the chat, with no need to stop a run and reload codex and claude code! let me know what you think and if i should expand to other agents
