Candidate AMAs & Past and Present AMA List
Vancouver mayoral candidates, council candidates, and Provincial election candidates are welcome to reach out via modmail to arrange a verified AMA. Candidates from other locations are welcome to contact the team and request a crosspost of their AMA from a city-specific subreddit, depending on demand (mayoral candidates and Provincial election candidates only).
We welcome all political affiliations as long as our rules are respected. AMAs held on the sub are capped at one per weekday, and capacity is limited. First come, first served. Review our guide on AMAs and then reach out to the mod team to verify your account and arrange a time.

Photos Outside is nice: my first walk outside in 3+ weeks
Gorgeous colours and a lovely walk around the seawall. I’ve been super sick with whatever viral thing is going on, but managed to go for a beautiful walk. It’s been so sunny and lovely, I’m glad I finally had the chance to enjoy it.

Political AMA I’m Justin McElroy, and there is entirely too much happening. AMA!

Hi there, it’s Justin McElroy, guy who ranks and charts stuff, CBC’s Municipal Affairs Reporter, and now author of a book that’s coming out Tuesday!
The last two local elections, I’ve done an Ask Me Anything with you fine folks the day before local elections. So why not continue that tradition?
(and if you want to ask about the provincial election, the book, why i ranked Ernest Ice Cream just eighth best in the city in 2022, etc., that’s cool too)
I’ll be here from 2-3pm local time to answer as many questions as I can, and hopefully we’ll have a fun time!

Lost/Missing Have you seen this bunny pendant?
Apologies for the bad picture, turns out while I wore this necklace all the time, I haven't photographed it much.
What's lost: bunny pendant with a small pearl bunny tail. It's super sentimental to me, my mom gave it to me when I moved away from home and treasure it.
Where: Downtown, could be anywhere between Burrard SkyTrain station and Helmcken St. I truly have no idea. I went to dinner on Helmcken then went to St. Andrews for a concert, I noticed it was gone and the chain snapped at St. Andrews.
When: Lost sometime after 5pm and before 7:30pm
It's a small pendant, probably no wider than a nickel, but if you happen to stumble upon it, I would be so grateful to get it back.
