1. New to Reddit: here's a link to give you a walkthrough of what Reddit is about
2. Wondering if you're being scammed: Read this
3. Want to see specific posts e.g opinions/discussions, relationship conversations?
Each post is required to have a flair. You can then filter your feed via this sub using these flairs. The filters are right above the posts(mobile) and in the right side bar(desktop)
4. Are you looking for a role/job?
Make a post using the 'Person for hire' flair. You can use it any day of the week but only once a week.

Do report any scammers encountered.
6. Selling/Giving away personal items
You can post these at any time. Use 'Personal item for sale' flair. If SELLING, ADD PRICE(S) IN COMMENTS OR POST.
7. Self promotion/Ads:
New advertisers: we have a self promotion period consisting of the following days: Fri and Mon. After your first ad, your entry will be added in this directory: https://www.reddit.com/r/Uganda/wiki/self_promotion_schedule.
Upon being included in this directory, you shall from then on be allowed to post on the first weekend of each month. Reminders shall be sent out.
Exceptions for repeat ads throughout the month shall be let through.

So some gentleman from my bike club is busy vibing vibing me yet we’ve spoken like twice in life. All he knows about me is my first name.
Little does he know that I am a detective
All I had was his first name and title, and a little digging has got me his entire history and lineage.
Turns out he has my father’s surname 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can’t wait for him to find out
“How did your relationship die?”
“Prematurely by natural causes”
I’m so excited

I’ve been thinking about how many great ideas never become reality because people work alone, lack the right connections, or simply don’t have a community to build with.
I want to change that.
I’m looking to connect with like-minded innovators, builders, problem-solvers, and curious minds who enjoy thinking outside the box and exploring what’s possible.
The goal is simple: create a community where we can share ideas, challenge each other’s thinking, brainstorm solutions, collaborate on projects, and actually build things together.
You don’t need to be an expert, have a startup, or know everything already. Whether you’re into technology, AI, software, engineering, business, creative projects, or inventing something entirely new, what matters most is your curiosity and willingness to contribute.
I’ve created a Discord server where we can bring these minds together, discuss possibilities, find collaborators, and turn promising ideas into real projects.
I’m not looking to build a server full of people who just watch from the sidelines. I want a community of people who are willing to experiment, share knowledge, help each other, and take action.
Imagine what we could build if a group of curious people actually worked together.
If this sounds like your kind of community, comment below or send me a DM, and I’ll share the Discord invite.
Let's stop waiting for someone else to build the things we wish existed. Let's build them ourselves. 🛠️

Hello,
Are there people here who get joy from reading and doing Mathematics? Preferrably at undergrad, or postrgraduate level.
We can create a community where we can share ideas, learn fron each other, discuss e.t.c, just like Bourbaki.
If anyone is interested, you can comment or DM me. We can get an appropriate way to communicate.
Thanks

The thing about nature is you can’t get in her way.
This drainage was constructed close to the bottom of a hill along a road with a steep incline, at a corner.
You know how water behaves when it flows round a corner?
Look how narrow it is too
Imagine the volumes of water it receives regularly which accumulate from all the way up the hill, down this corner especially during the rainy season.
No wonder it was washed away
I guess the road is next. It has already started in fact. It’s a new road meanwhile, just done last year
What are these wires btw?
The cable companies are waiting for customers to cry and switch service providers before they do something about it
May God uphold us all

Any pros and cons as compared to the second option, am spoilt for choice.
Should have asked r/kenya but they require karma to post there.

Hello everyone
I hope you’re all doing well.
I would be grateful for your recommendations for a reliable and affordable hospital or imaging centre in Kampala where I can have a spine X-ray done for scoliosis assessment.
If you have any experience with this, kindly help me with a few questions:
Which hospital or imaging centre would you recommend?
What is the approximate cost of a spine X-ray?
Is a doctor’s referral required, or can I walk in directly?
Do I need to book an appointment in advance, and what documents should I bring?
How long does it usually take to receive the results and images?
I would also appreciate any information about the cost of a chest X-ray, if you happen to know.
Any recommendations based on personal experience would be greatly appreciated, especially regarding affordability, service, and reliability.
Thank you so much for your time and assistance

Hi! I’m a Delhi University student working with a Ugandan bamboo startup. Could you spare 5 minutes for this survey about how your family cooks back home, plants seedlings or runs a business requiring bamboo poles and forward it to family or friends in Uganda?
It’s anonymous. Thank you so much 🙏

Hi guys, I have a question and would love to get your opinions. Would you rather have a partner who loves you deeply but struggles financially or one who provides everything but is emotionally unavailable?

I dont know if this is just me, but i really really cant be in public spaces. I dont go out, never gone to a concert or anything of the sort. Cant even stand restaurants.
I get extremely uncomfortable especially when there many people. I hate it when someone walks to me to say hello. I hate small talk. I keep thinking someone will steal from me when i go to the bar. Etc etc. So i spend weeks and months in my own space. Shouldn't be a problem to me.
However, here comes the problem, people dont seem to understand this. When someone asks to meet them and you tell them i can come to yours and come to mine, it always sounds so freaking weird, and its even worse when its a lady, because you then sound like the horniest maf😂 and i totally understand this.
So i resorted to saying, can we rather find a less crowded place. Which also still seems fishy.
Btw, i do enjoy people's company, but maybe in a different way, just having someone around, we dont have to talk please😂. You can do you, i do me. Only talk when we have something to talk about. Or playing games, i enjoy that alot.
Anyone else feel this way? Used to feel okay, but the more i grow, starting to feel abnormal 😭

any advice for a 24 year old struggling with their mental health, and isolation? It feels like everything is against me socially including family.
