I had a pick-up, a bbq meatlovers pizza and chips, with the note "No onion on pizza - allergy".

When it came, the place had written on the box "Sorry guy, it's impossible for us to make the pizza without onion in it".

Then to top it off, the delivery note said "Please don't knock or ring bell, I have a baby asleep here".

I felt really bad, but I don't know if I could have done anything. I think the restaurant should have contacted them and refunded them

Just now an order of mine has been cancelled within a block of my home for a third time this month. I’m very confused. The first time it happened i scoffed and moved on with my life, the second time it happened I demanded compensation bc my family had been waiting for over an hour for their food and between deadlines and other stuff we couldn’t just easily make supper or order another delivery. This third time im not going to ask for compensation because we’re not left high and dry, but I am wondering why? Why did this happen? Surely the drivers must tell uber why they are canceling literally a block away from my home? Nothing could have spilled nothing could have happened to this order unless they dropped the box and stepped on it. I’m just so confused.

Hi everyone, last night i made an order and when the delivery driver was near i got a notification saying it had been delivered, i knew this was not the case because the delivery needed a pin and i obviously hadn’t been contacted so i called the driver. they told me that they’ve already given the food to who they thought was me and when i pointed out that they need the pin he told me yeah the person said they didn’t have the pin and he just gave them the food anyway. i talked to uber eats about this and they’re saying it’s marked as delivered so they can’t refund me. what can i do? should i try contacting my bank to initiate a chargeback? thanks in advance

My girlfriend ordered 2 pizzas from dominos for delivery. Uber uses dominos delivery drivers to complete these. For whatever reason 3 people come up to the door in a college town to an apartment of 3 college girls to deliver 2 medium pizzas. Only one is in a dominos uniform. What the hell is that about? Scared the crap out of her when she answered the door and had 3 men standing there??

If you don't usually hold your phone at home what's the point of this ? Waiting outside for 10 minutes losing me $5 that's 50% earning of this order you are making this order worthless. Five out of 10 times this kind of instruction makes me stuck outside of course phones are off or never answered. And you thought setting PIN would make sure us to deliver to your door ? Good luck with that after 8 minutes Uber commence us to leave it anywhere and take picture and our rating is protected. I mean if the instruction works I'm happy to deliver however if you already know you are logic doesn't work with your apartment system invest 2 minutes to be outside.

(Guy messaged me this after completing the delivery by the way. Now I have to battle with Uber Eats to refund the full amount I paid cause that's literally the one thing I ordered.)

I’m at a loss for words. My food came, and then the driver came back up the stairs and delivered another bag, full of diapers and poop. Support said they’ll contact me with a human in 6-12 hours, but I don’t want him to have his tip and I’d like to report him. I’m shocked. I have him on my ring camera going back down to get the poop bag. I tipped him $6 on a $18 order.

After using uber for… I don’t actually even know how long I just deleted my account. I’m sick and tired of items not arriving and then the “refund” not covering the cost of the missing item.
Their support is useless, and there is no way to make a complaint. I’m done!

While going through the process of deleting my account they reminded me I’ve taken over 350 trips with them, and over 150 food orders. The straw that broke the camels back was £1.70 for a missing item.

Am I literally reading a scam? Should I report it to the CBC?

I'm based in Germany, so things like payment methods and consumer rules might work differently than in the US. I'd really appreciate input, especially from people in Germany or the EU.

What happened:

I ordered food for about €26. The app said delivery between 14:45 and 15:15, which fit my schedule. After that, the app kept showing that the courier was taking a different route and picking up and delivering other orders first. My delivery got pushed to 15:40–15:55 without any warning. I had an appointment at 15:50, so I cancelled, but only after the promised latest arrival time had already passed.

Uber kept the full amount as a cancellation fee, saying the restaurant had already started preparing the food. I'm an Uber One member. I've disputed it multiple times (in-app support and Instagram DMs, where it was supposedly escalated to a specialist team), but I keep getting the same template reply and the tickets get closed. I even asked for Uber Cash as a goodwill gesture instead of a refund, and that was ignored too.

In Germany, I paid by SEPA direct debit (Lastschrift). My bank lets me reverse it within 8 weeks, no questions asked.

My questions:

1. Has anyone in Germany or the EU reversed a SEPA direct debit or done a chargeback against Uber Eats? What happened afterwards? Account ban, payment reminders, debt collection (Inkasso)?

2. Did anyone ever get their account back, or did you just have to pay to unlock it?

3. Would you reverse it or just let the €26 go?

I'm planning to switch to another delivery service anyway, so losing the account isn't a dealbreaker. I just don't want any bigger trouble afterwards.

Has Uber Eats charged you MORE than the price shown when you placed your order?

I'm looking to speak with other UK customers who have experienced unexpected price increases following checkout, particularly on supermarket grocery orders involving promotional discounts.

I recently placed a Waitrose order through Uber Eats. My checkout total was £68.89, including advertised 50% discounts.

After placing the order, two items were marked out of stock, and Uber subsequently charged me £96.89, claiming I hadn't met the applicable promotional conditions.

I was never shown this increased price or asked to approve it.

I'm interested in establishing whether this is an isolated incident or a widespread practice affecting UK consumers.

If enough people have experienced something similar, I'd like to explore submitting coordinated evidence to the CMA and Trading Standards, and potentially seeking legal advice regarding collective action.

Has anyone had this I’ve been waiting for my food to be delivered for an hour because the guy is on a bike. It’s a cold rainy day. Why would someone bike an hour for an hour???

I launched ubereat to see if there were some nice offer.

Saw one nice food with less than 1 euros service price with an offer.

Then i take uberone, the service price goes above 5 euros.

Why is that happening ? The price is higher with uberone than without.

I ordered from a place that's not all that far away, and I see on the app that it's going to be delivered by someone who's walking and that the scheduled time is over an hour "with some stops along the way."

I know a lot of people lie on delivery apps and say they're walking or biking when they have a DUI and can't legally drive but do it anyway, but this person actually seems to be walking judging by how slowly they're going. And yes, I know delivery is a luxury and that if I don't like it, I should go get it myself.

But argh. Over an hour with some stops along the way is ridiculous for a place less than a mile away. The food is going to be nasty. I wouldn't have ordered at all if I knew it would take so long and that someone would have to walk that delivery.

but I've seen a trend where it tells me someone is delivering on a bike... yet they are clearly in a car? plus it will show a woman but then a man drops it off... i see a man and his kid today they came from different directions of the ring camera.... has anyone else noticed this?

I wonder why they put a bike yet it's a car - the weird thing is the map shows them really slow like a bike.. do they do it for better tips or so they don't have to provide a drivers license? genuinely curious

Ordered a smoothie through Uber Eats. The order arrived while I was showering, and when I finished, I noticed I’d missed messages from the driver asking, “Can I get a tip?” Weird, considering I’d already included a tip when placing the order. I checked my security camera footage, and it showed him knocking multiple times, calling out “HELLO?!”, and lingering around my door for a min or two.

Now, I like to give ppl the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he’s new to Uber, but seriously? Doesn’t Uber show drivers that a tip was already included? And why are you trying so hard to get someone to answer the door just to ask for an additional tip?

Anyways, I bring the drink inside and notice the lid is off the cup, resting loosely on top of it with half the top uncovered. The restaurant unfortunately didnt seal the bag, either. The drink itself looked completely full, so I can’t tell whether the lid simply came off during transit or something else happened.

Needless to say, I don’t trust it, especially after the driver’s unusual behavior. I’m not accusing him of tampering with anything because I obviously have no direct proof, but the whole situation feels off.

Would you guys report this to Uber? My biggest hesitation is that this guy knows where I live, and I really don’t want to risk retaliation over a complaint. Does anyone know whether Uber tells drivers when a customer reports them?
