I’m trying to start a new club here on campus that connects the Gaelic culture with those of other oppressed people throughout the world. Fun Fact:”Highlanders” come from the Scottish Gaelic culture, so really if you at UCR you have a connection to the club, whether you live on campus at a building named after the highlanders or you just pop up here for class you still connected.

I'd also be interested in anything that could turn into part-time or paid work down the line, since I'd love to build experience

Dear UCR CS Students.

To celebrate 25 years at UCR, I have a little gift for Computer Science students (grad and undergrad) at UCR.

I commissioned a local artist to make and produce custom UCR Computer Science stickers, that you can proudly place on your water bottle or laptop.

If you want your sticker, you can:

1)      Visit the sticker vendor, next to the bookstore, from 8am to 5pm tomorrow (Friday the 15^th). Just identify yourself as a CS student, and ask for a sticker (one sticker per person, please).

2)      If you can’t make it tomorrow, or the stickers run out (I only paid for 120), then I will distribute a fresh batch from my office (MRB 4120) sometime in the second half of next week. Just stop by (email first if it is out of your way to make sure I am not out getting coffee or something).

3)      If you are an alumni reading this from off of campus, you can send me your physical mailing address and I will mail you a sticker (please only use this option if you are truly living far from campus).

As an aside, the vendor has lots of cool other stickers of insects, animals, campus life etc.

Hi today (oct 15) I lost a pair of sunglasses that are very important to me they are men’s ray-bans with thin silver framing and black lenses. Tomorrow I will check with the campus police if they have them but please comment if you picked them up or know someone who may have found them. Thank you.
