What’s one Dota 2 habit that took you way too long to learn? 😂
I used to think every fight was worth joining, even when my team was clearly outnumbered. Now I realize sometimes the best play is just farming, pushing another lane, or letting your teammates respawn instead of feeding one by one 💀 What’s one mistake you kept making before it finally clicked?

Nyx Assassin guide in 7.41f by 12.5k MMR former Div 1 DPC player and coach
Sup everyone today I'm bringing a new guide for the support series on my YouTube channel, and today's hero of choice is Nyx Assassin
In this game I'll be playing vs a hard lane and explaining you how you could itemize when you find yourself in this position so that I can show you how you should be approaching the game from the laning phase to the early to mid game.
I'll be walking you in depth on map movements and things that I'm considering as the game progresses so that you can maybe apply these concepts to your own games and help you make better decissions overall.
I appreciate you all people who drop some nice comments on my videos, I do understand many might not like them it's just fair that some people do and improve with them, I also appreciate the ones who provide me with kind and respectful feedback and positive criticism, I'm not here for nothing but to help you by sharing a bit of the experience I have and the little knowledge about this wonderful game.
You can find the full video here:

oddly specific things that tilt you beyond belief?
What are some specific behaviors or things your teammates do that make you absolutely lose your mind?
I'll give you a few examples of things that tilt me beyond belief:
The useless pos 4 Pudge. I am pos 3. This guy Picks Pudge, misses every single hook, and then just stands there watching me struggle to CS. Doesn't block the enemy pull camp, doesn't pull, doesn't harass, doesn't do anything remotely useful. Just stands next to me and occasionally "helps" me CS. Why? Make yourself useful.
The absolutely terrible last pick. Someone has the luxury of last pick, sees the entire enemy draft, and somehow manages to pick one of the worst possible heroes for that game. Like picking PL into Sven and Timbersaw. You had ONE job. This is 6k ranked.
The feeding teammate who thinks everything is hilarious. This one genuinely drives me insane. Someone is playing absolutely dogshit, feeding nonstop, and constantly spamming their hero's laughter voice line. Every time they die, they laugh. Pinging how far ahead the enemy team is because of their own feeding. Why? Wtf is so funny about ruining the game for your teammates? I genuinely don't understand this mentality. If you're playing like shit at least have some humility instead of treating the game like a comedy show while the rest of us are trying to win.
What are yours? I'm especially interested in the ODD things that shouldn't bother you as much as they do but somehow send you over the edge into maddening rage.

AstiniAI analysis
Hi guys! Astini here. (coached nouns/cloud 9/parivision/nemesis/playtime lately)
Before we move on, yea its F**** AI. I know most people hate it. But I put a lot of hard work into making this tool to be my dota 2 second brain. Over 600 ranked replay analysis done by me and rdo (brazilian former pro, played SA and EU dpc), and 80 scrims/officials analysis of my teams that I added into making build this intelligence.
It's not "your GPM is low, just get more gold LUL". It's "wave was pushing to you, their mid was missing, you walked to the rune, here's what to do instead and why".
Just paste your match ID (or log in with Steam) here: https://www.dotaflix.com.br/en/analise/gratis
No account, no card. Takes a few minutes because it runs on my own machine, so there's a queue.
It's not perfect. It still gets things wrong sometimes, and I fix something almost every day. So far around 150 people used it in the first days, 40 rated it (average 9.1/10) and 37 out of 37 said it helped. Tell me where it's dumb (besides thats its me and I have been losing too much competitive dota lately...) , that's exactly what I want from this post.

Low Prio with 2K BS will transcend you to being a better human
I seriously change when I experienced it myself.
It goes to show the error of my ways and undeniably a great experience. I wish you guys could experience it too.
No this isn't a hate post but a means of change of me as a person

Why not add an optional "Micro-Management AI Assist" toggle instead of simplifying complex heroes?
Hi everyone, I wanted to open up a question about how Dota 2 handles complex mechanics, especially regarding heroes that require heavy micro-management.
What if the game design tries to help news playes instead make the game more easier to all the community?
One thing i can use for example is de IA micro-management assistance
How it works.
Creeps will active theirs speels after a action taken by you, like chen if you use the first spell and you have a minotaur he will stun for you, if u are in the fog the creeps will hide surrounds just to make the game more easy for de new players.
Also we have the spam spells heroes like invoker or zet, the ia will reply de iten if you cast.
Balancing the IA.
try imaginate the zet using bloodthorn for example if the normal silence is 3 seconds in the IA mode the silence will be 1,5 seconds for example, so if the zet using ia mode try use your ultimate to make the silence combo he will waste 2 silence itens to offer 3 seconds in IA mode.
what you guys think about that?
in my first experience in this game i start playing in QWER mode after my 500 hours i switch for legacy keys, for me, this make my game too much fun, making me waste more of my time in this game.

Looking for Replays under 6K for Educational Content
Hello everyone, my youtube is: https://www.youtube.com/@MjzDotA
Recently i have been uploading 4 videos of the concept of " What does Pro players do differently"
The idea of this type of video was to show the difference between average dota player and a pro and how they think and why they do certain things.
So far I covered Carry and Mid Role
Carry vs Pro Part 1: https://youtu.be/wrkXhDBoA9g
Carry vs Pro Part 2: https://youtu.be/wKcKbdz2qUc
Mid vs Pro part 1: https://youtu.be/vFgQg1aUBTI
Mid vs Pro part 2: https://youtu.be/8rF-EYDlAJw
So right now i am looking for Offlaner replays (anything below 6k Should be fine) and also support pos 4 and 5
If you are main in this role and currently under 6K and want me to review your replay + compare it to a pro feel free to comment the id of a certain game or your profile ID so i can check some games.
Thanks everyone for the support so far!

Enigma casual chasm stone is a bad idea but Shiva is actually good if you can get it late game
in my previous post https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueDoTA2/comments/1wzguf7/casual_chasm_stone_on_enigma/
i asked chasm stone and shiva on enigma. and found that although casual chasm stone is bad on the hero, it might actually be good to get Shiva if you think enemy has a way to cancel your black hole via point click bkb piercieng spell (if u think linkens is not enough)
i noticed majority of the time the heroes who wanted to cancel my blackhole needs to get closed and then gets sucked in coz of the aghs. so getting shiva means making it even harder for them to get near u assuming you're not sticking your butt out and getting canceled from behind

Kez guide in 7.41f by 12.5k MMR former Div 1 DPC player and coach
What's up everyone, welcome back to another exclusive breakdown for the channel. Today, we're diving straight into safelane Kez on a game where things got extremely tough right from minute one.
We had a brutal laning phase where we had to suffer through the early game and swim against the current. However, by applying the right concepts and mechanics, understanding the drafts inside and out, and figuring out how and when to recover, we managed to turn things around and pull ahead in the match.
In this tutorial, I break down that resilient mindset and key decision-making step-by-step: from weathering the storm when you're behind, to reading the enemy composition to find the gold and XP pockets that get you back into the game. Mastering this transition is exactly what separates an average player from the highest brackets.
If you've ever felt your lane was lost and didn't know how to bounce back, this video is going to give you the exact playbook.

Exclusive full-screen fixed my mac edge pan issue
But only after the second try for some reason. The first try it was really bad looking. The text was blocky and the cursor was huge and it didnt fix the edge pan.

Explain Spectre
I’m spamming spec in unranked and ranked. My highest rank is ancient 3 and I hover at ancient 1/legend 5. I do not play consistently I am on and off weeks at a time.
Someone explain Spectre to me. I really want to like this hero and be good but if I pick ursa for example - everything is so much clearer. I couldn’t lose a ursa game unless I made mistakes.
With spec, I never know if I’m even happy I’m constantly anxious even after huge wins I’m not sure I did it right….
Next question is - bkb should be common right? So often I run into magic heavy lineups and I’m so confused because mage slayer is never mentioned. Heart seems mediocre and doesn’t scale in my experience but satanic seems inefficient given the concept of the hero.
Is the shard any good around 25-30 mins?
Help me!
I do branches stick and circlet. I move into urn treads radiance manta skadi, then it’s situational.

Queen of Pain guide in 7.41f by 12.5k MMR former Div 1 DPC player and coach
What's up everyone, welcome back to another exclusive breakdown for the channel. Today, we're putting the spotlight entirely on Queen of Pain in the midlane as opening for our Midlane Series.
This hero is an absolute tempo monster from the mid position, but it's super common to see players miscalculating their burst damage during teamfights, wasting Shadow Strike harass in the early laning phase, or completely messing up their item builds against enemy core lineups.
In this guide, I dive deep into every technical detail, instant decision-making triggers, and precise positioning required: from maximizing your lethal Sonic Wave combos and knowing when to aggressively blink onto the backline, to picking the ideal damage and utility items for every match. Mastering these finer points is exactly what separates an average player from the highest brackets.
If your goal is to control the midlane tempo, dictate the pace of the map, and delete full-HP enemies in a fraction of a second, this video is going to help you immensely.
