Maintenance Issues Consumo en mi tiger sport 660

• Upvotes

Other Go for 765RS/RX or wait for 798?

Hi everyone!

I'm seriously considering getting a Street Triple, but I'm struggling to decide whether to go for a discounted 765 RS/RX now or wait for the upcoming 798.

For some context, I currently own a Honda CBR650R E-Clutch. It's a good bike, but I'm not completely satisfied with it, and I'm looking for something that feels a bit more special. I want a bike with plenty of character, great looks, a distinctive engine and good electronics. I mostly ride on the road, including some short commutes, and I don't do track days.

I'm particularly interested in the Street Triple 765 RS and RX. I love the triple engine, the looks and the overall package. The RX especially catches my eye because of its more aggressive styling and clip-ons.

However, with the new Street Triple 798 expected to be unveiled soon, I'm wondering whether it would be wiser to wait and see what Triumph has changed in terms of design, performance, electronics and pricing.

I'm based in Spain, and my budget is around €11,000, with an absolute maximum of €12,000. Depending on the deals available, I'd consider a new bike or a nearly new one with low mileage.

Thanks!

Other Street Triple Dilema

Hey friends,

I’ve owned a Street Triple RS for a year now after being away from riding for a while. It’s been an absolute blast, the bike is so fun on the mountain/in the canyons. However, I don’t love the commuting to get to said roads (even with cruise control).

For background, I rode a fully faired bike for a few years prior to the street triple and went for the RS this time around to try and find better ergo’s. Frankly I think being so exposed to the wind is the worst of two evils, and I find myself dreaming of going back to a faired bike like an old Daytona or a new S1000RR. I briefly have considered a more upright bike like the Tiger or SXR but still want the sporty look and plan on making a few track days a year.

I was hoping to get some advice on anyone moving away from the street triple. What would you recommend? What is your mindset if you’ve traded the street triple in for something else?

Mods and Customization After market fog light

I recently bought a used 23 tiger 900 rally pro. It didn't have the fog lights installed and the PO said it didn't have them when he bought it either. I investigated further and found the OEM connectors are still there.

Does anyone know the part number for the connector or where I can find one to splice into an after market light?

The OEM fogs are like $700 and a Denali set with a ez-can is like a grand. I'm trying to spend much less but retain the function of the OEM button on the handle bar.

Maintenance Issues Is this sound normal on the Street Twin?

Hello everyone!

I bought a 2018 Street Twin last month, and I've noticed this weird noise when accelerating and decelerating. Is this normal?

If not, has anyone else experienced this? What could be causing it, and how can I fix it?

Just a newbie to the Triumph world! 😅

Hey Triumph fam. This is just a little appreciation post to Triumph and their 2025 Scrambler 1200x. At the start of the riding season I was still riding the 2017 Street Scrambler with 42000kms on it. It needed new tires, oil and was WAY BEHIND on a valve check. Basically I was in despair because I absolutely loved that bike but I knew it may be time to trade up since I didn't have that kind of money on hand. In July Triumph offered 0% financing on the 2025 scramblers and I jumped on it. The dealer knew what my 2017 required and they gave me $3k so with the tax savings it helped with my new payments. ( I tried selling privately first with no luck, plus I couldn't sell it without the buyer knowing what it needed.) Accessories on the 2025s were also at 0% and 15% off MRSP so of course I knew this was the time to get them as well. When I picked up the bike the first thing I noticed was the huge increase in power and stability riding on the highway. This bike is an absolute unit. I know there are bigger bikes but I always thought my 900 was pretty capable and I rode it hard. Now it feels like I have upgraded from a beginner bike to a man's bike. Thank you Triumph for your 0% and helping me fall in love with motorcycling all over again. I have already enjoyed 7000+kms & a successful moto camping trip. I am looking forward to squeezing in the last bit of riding this season and can't wait for the next.

Mods and Customization Tool box for Tiger 1200?

Has anyone ever come across something like this to fit a 2022 (or later) Tiger 1200?
Generic ones all look like they’d foul the rear suspension reservoir.
Thanks!

Mods and Customization Bonneville T120 Handlebars

Post image

Looking for recommendations to add some downward low/cafe style handlebars to a '24 T120. As far as I understand aftermarket bars don't typically have the inner end threads that allow for compatibility with OEM bar end mirrors which I would prefer to keep? I've looked at Ace and Clubman bars and was set on the Norman Hyde M Bars for a not too aggressive position but am looking for clarity on if it's even possible to find after market handlebars for liquid cooled Bonnevilles that can be compatible with the Triumph bar end mirrors? Pardon my ignorance, new to the Triumph and Moto world! Any input is appreciated!

Annoyed these gloves that are a year and half old are peeling. They say their goat leather but the piping is cheap fake leather. Tried complaining but they don’t care. Messed up. They still sell the same crap in their stores. They need real leather piping.

Maintenance Issues How do i fix this?

Noticed the parking light on my 2018 Street Twin flickering a lot after riding, it doesn't do it when the engine is turned off but does it after a ride. What's the fix here? Is it just a simple bulb change?

Triumph info I can't find the Triumph Speed 900 owners manual. My S900 came with a complete set of manuals but none about specifications. I don't even know the correct tires pressures.

Hi guys ,I’m looking to change / custom my t120 bike wondering what you guys think of these colour options for tank & side panel or any other ideas you guys may have , I’m keeping the dark brown bench seat , so has to match that 😊
Many thanks in advance , here are some of my chatGPT options , I’m going to be using a 2k rattle cans so colours have to be accessible in that form.
Those that like the green do you prefer it with the black or green side panel 👍?

T100 2015 vs T120 2017vs Thunderbird LT 2016— Which would you choose?

Dear fellow Bonnie lovers!

Thanks for all the advice on my Bonneville hunt. Now I’m confused between three options:

- 2015 Thunderbird LT: ₹7 lakh (~$8,200), 30,000 km.

- 2015 Bonneville T100 (865 cc): Single owner, just 2,500 km, recorded service history, but some damage from sitting unused. 3700$

- 2017 Bonneville T120: Second owner, 17,000 km, recorded service history. Seller is moving to Australia and asking ₹5 lakh (~$5,900).

A little about me: I’ve ridden Harleys as a chapter manager for over 80,000 km in softails and sportsters and extensively ridden a BMW G 310 GS, including Umling La.

I live in the mountains and want an all-round motorcycle for daily rides, mountain roads and occasional family trips. I own a car but prefer motorcycles. I value character, individuality, reliability and long-term ownership over outright performance.

Which would you choose, considering maintenance, spare-parts availability in India and everyday practicality? Is the low-mileage T100 worth considering despite sitting unused, or is the T120 at ₹5 lakh the obvious choice?

Would love to hear from actual owners!
