QUESTION Having trouble binding my outlier+

• Upvotes

got the outlier+ like 4 days ago and shes so pretty and feels great to do tricks with. the size is definitely a shock but im starting to land some slack tricks more consistently with it. the only thing i cant consistently do is bind it LMAO. im starting to think its the response pads but i wanna check with people here who have probably had this exact problem before. im not sure if i need to "break it in," or if i just got a bad part since ive heard offset has some not super reliable quality control, or the more likely option that im just stupid lol. i have a collection of about 20ish yoyos of different makes and models and this is the only one im having this problem with so i dont think its a skill issue? any help would be greatly appriciated thanks so much 🙏🙏

today i offer you a rework of a 2017-ish trick, "my desk is already full of stuff, putting the coffee pot on the ground is the safest strategy". the angle needs some adjustments but i guess it kinda works ?

Finally got my hands on one! #51/72 produced. Pretty heavy presence on the string, but throws exactly how I thought it would, like a full size Executive. It came with some bearing blanks, I'm excited to rip some 0a with it 🥰 Here's a little wrist mount dgt with it.

How to finish a wooden yoyo?

Hi guys, I've been working on this wooden yo-yo on and off for the past week or so.

Its not perfect but I'm finally happy with the shape, but I'm still unsure how I want to finish it.

I don't think I want anything too shiny. I'd prefer a more natural, matte finish that feels nice in the hand.

Those of you that make wooden yoyos, anyone got any suggestions on what would work best?

Learn fixed axle 5A.

I was pleased with how much punishment the pine axle design took before it finally snapped.

The next one will have a walnut axle.

I'm also thinking of making one with a steel axle, but I'm not sure how well it will hold together on PLA.

I'm thinking my end goal should be to make a take-apart model

DISCUSSION Thoughts on the Olypmus yoyo?

I wanted to know your guys' opinion about the Olympus yoyo. And what better time to talk about it than when they finally restocked it, adding the limited Dinonysus colorway, which is the one I purchased. But I want to know your thoughts on it overall.
