I have to say though, there's something about winning in Tekken 7 that is so, so satisfying. I got so hyped yesterday after beating a Lei Wulong player 3-2 with my Josie. Game holds up.

The only thing I hate is the online (and the graphics lol). Waiting a billion hours just to match up with someone sucks balls. It also annoys me that I can't practice wall combos while waiting for matches, since you're automatically placed in that infinite stage.

The cool thing (that they should bring back for Tekken 8) is the ability to rematch indefinitely during ranked matches. It sorta makes up for the long wait times. Sorta.

Anyway--come back to Tekken 7, ya'll. I need more people to fight besides Lei Wulongs. 😄

So for context, I stopped playing ranked in this game entirely for a YEAR. (because life happened and I discovered Factorio). I do quick battles here and there, and back then, it still felt like I was fighting people my level.

The highest rank I ever got in Seasons 1 and 2 is Tekken King. I plateaued at that rank; I was making no progress, so I just ranked up my other characters to TK too. So in Season 1 I have 2 characters in TK, Feng and Leo. And in Season 2 I have Feng, Leo, Fakh and Clive? (not really sure I don't remember.)

So I kept seeing rank inflation posts in here, and I want to try it myself. My god. It's bad. I started my Feng in Mighty Ruler, and I proceeded to have a 23-win streak. It kind of felt bad. It felt like smurfing, but I just didn't play rank for a year. What do you want me to do, not just play?

There are players in Tekken Emperor who have no spacing and no concept of punishments. I kept getting away with f3,4 and not getting comboed. No sidesteps, no frame trap awareness. They just kept mashing. A lot ate d4 to b1s. Back in S1, I can't get away with that shit.

When I reached TK, this is where I got some pushback and actually lost. Got knowledge checked hard by a Lars lol. But this is also the part of the ranks that some players started one-and-doneing after winning or losing a single match.

In 2 days, not even 12 hours' worth of gameplay, I got to GoD. The rank that I sought is now the median. Kinda insane. It feels so weird seeing a GoD2 player that only knows 3 flowcharts, doesn't sidestep, and keeps doing 3+4 to get up even when I'm launching them everytime.

Go on and check this vid abt why this game flopped. He explains very well about why tag 2 is popular but not played. Yes I know the vid is in korean but there are english subtitles.

For example, the Asuka main only won 7 matches, while the other player won 958. That's a huge difference. It means he's already much better than you and will beat you with any character. It's not about matchup knowledge; he's simply more skilled than you, that's all.

She takes DVJ crown as the worst character in the game

BAO might be the most equal opportunity stance in the game too the point where the best players say you shouldnt transition to bao. Bao is even worse now when the pole does not even have a heat launcher.

MMO is very steppable and choregraphed and on block just dickjab her everytime, unless its from her exceptionally slow plus frame moves. She has almost no plus frame pressure, terrible okizeme, terrible wall-game, also she is extremely linear, one of the worst backdashes in the game, second to KING!!!

90% of strings is guess mid or high for low reward for miary but high reward for whoever guesses right in which just holding back is safest choice.

Like she is genuinly pure gambling except the rewards are low for her. I can chill fighting her since i can guess wrong like over and over but i only need to guess right 2 times to win. And for her the gamble does not even loop like for mishimas.

I watch other high ranked people play her and its a lot of 3,1 that might go into a 2 or an mmo that gets dickjabbed. Either way its low reward for the Miary.

She has amazing punishment tho.

I think it is pretty solid even though it doesn't have Bruce,Jun,Beak,Wang, or Even Roger Jr. This game has been supported for 11 years.

Yeah, he's good at the pro level, but in online play he's not some super powered mega villain. He's just a basic high tier character. He rewards smooth gameplay and is ineffective in the hands of a newbie. IF you got beat by a Drag, its a skill issue and you need to hit the lab. Stop ranting about Drag like he's responsible for all your problems. Thank you​​​

I don't follow the happenings in the community or what is discussed, so this making the rounds in my non-gaming news feed is pretty interesting and kind of cool. Aside from what is mentioned in the video, I really don't know what is going on; something about the varying opinions of what is acceptable for playing older, but un-supported games.

Pretty interesting stuff that makes me go "Huh, neat." Honestly, I just say enjoy for as long as you can before it gets plugged and if you can, upload as much gameplay as possible to document how the game was played.

I didn't have internet capabilities back when Tekken 6 was around and only played on the couch with family and friends. So I don't know anything about the competitive history of the various characters and how they changed since then. Also, the game was and is one of the most difficult games I ever played. The timings and execution windows were among the strictest in any game I ever played (in general). So much so, that I actually lost interest in tekken because of it and drifted off to play other games (like doa). I think the decision to make the follow up games easier and more accessible (T7 and T8) is what really drove Tekken to become incredibly popular.

Yo so most characters that were toxic like Lidia seems to have been toned down since I stopped playing. But King still seem as stupid as ever. Am I having PTSD or is he just immune to nerfs ?

I dont know if anyone done this before but i cant find any discord so far regarding T6 NO directly so i just made one because i wanna train first a bit and get bac kinto the game and maybe people wanna connect over the game, find new friends or learn a thing or 2.

It has Character Channels, Guide Channel, a each1teach1 ćhannel where itry t ointend that noobies can ask willing pros for tips and they can help if they want so its a nice little community that keeps itself alive.

There is even a bug Report Channel i made so we can help epskym with having a source for issues with the Launcher or i may add a imprvement/ wish feature section even if its just theoretical.

I feel like she has a lot of quirks in her moveset that I do on accident sometimes.
