Hi everyone. I've recreated the game's initial tutorial based on the combat logic and animations.

However, after talking to some of you and loooking at other posts, I realized there are already teams out there who are way further along (some rebuilding up to 70% of the game).

Instead of reinventing the wheel and doing redundant work solo, I want to merge efforts. If your team is working on reviving the game and could use an extra hand, send me a DM. If not, no worries at all, I'll just keep working solo as a hobby. Also, a community Discord server has been created where we can all share assets and track progress. Let's revive RTS!

As a recent surge in revival projects all stemming separately, it would be crucial if all developers would coincide to working together. Looking at how fast you guys run, we could have a build made fully functioning by Christmas assuming we all do things besides make the game.

I will send private invites to a discord server to more directly communicate so we can share assets, spreads, code and builds.

Hi everyone. I’ve been working on a project originally started by REA to preserve and restore the base game to make it playable again.

I’m working solely from the base install files right now. As you can see in the attached video, I've made some progress rebuilding the core mechanics, but I’ve hit a wall.

Here is what I have achieved so far:

• Cracked the asset format and name hash (extracted ~3,900 texture sheets and ~24,000 sprites).
• Decoded the scene format (skeletal rigs + animations), allowing me to rebuild 1,000+ characters, weapons, and effects.
• Extracted the base sounds (battle music, UI, hits) and mapped each character’s real traits.
• Currently decoding the game data (stats, Adrenaline Rushes, leader skills) and the combat logic.

The problem...
I am missing everything the game downloaded after the initial installation over the years (card art, event content, full audio files). I lost my own cache when I changed phones.

If anyone still has the game installed on an old phone, an Android emulator (like Bluestacks/Nox), or happens to have a backup of the app data folder, you have the exact files I need to keep this project alive. Specifically, I'm looking for the game's data/cache folder (usually found in Android/data/com.scopely.headshot/ or similar).

I am aware that there are other people in the community working on similar preservation projects for the game. I am completely open to collaborating. Whether it means sharing the technical progress and tools I’ve built so far, combining our efforts, or getting guidance from someone who is further along, my DMs are open!

Me and my friend are software engineers and big fans of The Walking Dead.

We're looking to restore The Walking Dead Road to Survival using Rust.

We're still in the early stages of development, and unfortunately, a lot of the original game's content is missing. We're trying to recover as much of the game as possible, and any help from the community would be greatly appreciated.

We are looking for:

ZIP files containing any OBB or game data files.

APKs from old smartphones and tablets that still have the game installed or archived.

Save files from the original game.

Any other files or resources that could help us restore missing content.

Even if you're unsure whether a file is useful, please reach out! Anything could potentially help us recover more of the original game.

Hello folks. If you remember my username, I was the guy that ask for the community to provide anything they have on the game files for the purpose of archival.

I am burdened to say not only I have not received anything of the kind that may get the game back up. Some has offer to help, and I did reach out, but they haven't respond to me since. This kinda defeat me alil bit, and I got put pff for a while.

...Until recently. I'm sure you all know that AI reverse engineering is all the talk right now, and I shit you not, most of the games that I know and love that was shutdown, are now back on their feet again! Mighty Doom, Love Live, Minion Rush, Darkness Rises, Order & Chaos... what's stopping RTS from having that same fate, but only a zip folder away?

And so, I am now calling you a second time, to ask for anything that may help me to dissect this game, open it up, and see how it work so that we can all live together again.

I have also noticed that fan game (or personal project) have been brought up in the sub so I would like to ask these fellows just in case:

By next week, I will upload another post showcasing that if you do have the game still installed ON ANDROID ONLY, you can learn how to find, zip, and extract the main obb file. By the word of u/LadyGeek-twd, it should sit around somewhere of 480-500mb in total.

And to u/Burlzy, I would really, really like to have that files that you still have on you, It would help me to an insane amount that I can't comprehense.

I'm working on reviving this game, and I need your help to bring it back to life.

I'm looking for old game files, including APK and OBB files. If anyone still has the game installed on their phone or has a backup of the original game files, please share them with me.

These files could be extremely helpful in the revival process. Even if you have an old version of the game, please don't hesitate to share it.

I'm currently working on building the Town, characters, and character animations, with the goal of preserving the original look, feel, and gameplay experience as closely as possible.

One day I had an ad for this game. So I randomly downloaded it and suddenly was glued to it. I hadn’t even heard of the show or at least mentally registered it. But here I was just vibing and unlocking new characters to make a better team.. oh and the chat (in the uk) regularly had some weird guy who kept confessing to stealing underwear from women’s washing lines…. I think Glenn just died too during the time I was playing because everyone was talking about it and that’s when I found out it was a tv show 😂 I watched the show much later, enjoyed most of it but it got a bit boring toward last few seasons….
Anyway I wanted to redownload the game and find my account. But it’s gone…. Thanks to the people who made it fun and were friendly all those years ago and I hope the pant stealing man has found peace and stopped… oh and the American guy who kept sending pictures of a grill he got. I hope you stopped harassing women. And the rest of the people who were active in the community thank you

I believe all the former players still have ties to some members of their old faction—it's no different here in Brazil! Our faction, THE LAST SURVIVORS (ranked #6 in the last WoC), still keeps our group online and active. It's a shame we haven't yet found a game close enough to what TWDRTS was to get us playing together again; our former leader showed a preview of his personal project... what do you think?

I know it's probably just a coincidence, but isn't it kind of crazy? I mean the same purple outfit, She has gold rings, just like Mythic Trader's gold accessories as well and everything.

I remember first downloading this game with my older brother and his friend. I was maybe 12-13 at the time- it was during 5* Negans release I believe, the one where you had to collect Michonne/Glenn heads in order to redeem the guy. I remember getting my first ever 5 star, which was a fast Sophia, got in trouble since I was playing it in class but i was overjoyed regardless. I played the game religiously until the servers shut down and I’ve just felt empty ever since.

I never did spend a lot of money on the game, I was never in the best faction, never got the cool 5 war rewards. Even missed out on the 4\ Wendy shop glitch. By all accounts I truly never excelled in the game on a competitive level but I adored it beyond belief. collecting all of the telltale toons was a huge highlight for me as it’s my favourite game series of all time. I don’t think I’ll ever manage to move on from this game and all the memories it gave me but I’ll be here, holding onto hope that a miracle happens and they decide to restart. A pipe dream for sure but I don’t want to move on* 💔

Given the rebirth of FF Brave Exvius (a long standing and successful gacha), into FF Resonance, a single player RPG with all of the previous game assets, do yall think there’s any chance that Scopely or any other company would be willing to re-release this game as a single player? I personally wouldn’t mind paying for a new game and be able to access my fave character models again.

Mi objetivo: No busco un museo estático. Mi propósito es revivir el juego por completo, devolviéndole la vida a sus eventos, sus pases de temporada y la experiencia completa, manteniendo un espíritu de comunidad justa y sin ánimo de lucro. ¿Qué busco? Countless of resources, refills, tokens etc. I had saved for months and I couldn't even get to use any of them. It felt like all that grinding and saving and patience went to waste. I couldn't even experience the joy of using my resources freely.
