General You should “cheese” Crucible mode and anyone who tells you otherwise needs an ego check

Post image

…because I told you otherwise and recently received and ego check. 😂

This is a bit of a mea culpa I suppose.

I was initially against “cheesing” Crucible mode. “Why cheat yourself?” I asked with the best of intentions and a…complete lack of humility. “You’re not going to get any better if you don’t force yourself to play harder content.” 🤦‍♂️

Well, dying this many times just for some banged up Lamenters armor is just miserable and unfun for people. No one learned anything or improved. It was just a massacre.

Kudos to the guys I played with for not leaving (they both stuck it out to the end, so much appreciated brothers 🤝) but this was ruinously difficult.

That’s been the case with every team I’ve queued with tonight.

So, I’ve changed my mind on the whole “cheesing” thing and can’t believe I even thought otherwise.

🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 <—Do this and don’t let your pride get in the way. I’ll be doing so from here on out. I’m done with Crucible once I finish ranking up my Tactical.

I enjoy the difficulty—*to a point!—*but runs like this just aren’t a positive experience for anyone involved and they’re an all too common experience in Crucible.

I still love this game but Crucible ain’t my mode, so I’ll see y’all in Hard Strats where the real action is! 🙂

Edit: To the “git gud” crowd, I have a rank 6 Tactical and a rank 4 Sniper. I’m laughing at you, not with you.

General HOT TAKE - SM2 is turning into a minimum effort bug fest (rant)

I know i will get crucified for this but hear me out:

Year 2 roadmap comparison to year 3 roadmap:

  1. We get 3 news weapons (was 5).

  2. 2 new operations (was 4).

  3. Reskin siege mode (identical to original siege).

  4. Reskin stratagems aka Crucible mode.

  5. Already existing cosmetics added to other classes.

  6. An abysmal twitch cosmetic cashgrab.

We are overall getting less stuff in year 3, by the looks of it, and year 3 has a big focus on reusing assets/reworking already existing classes aka lower budget.

Year 3 has also introduced a lot of game breaking bugs and awful QoL changes:

  1. UI functions are breaking.

  2. Some weapons not performing correctly.

  3. Some new perks are useless.

  4. Tooltips not working on certain things.

  5. Tac reworking is... super weird, perks disabling other effects, awful weapon value changes.

  6. Undocumented changes to the games fundemental values, this is perks, enemies, weapons etc.

  7. Invisible arm, might be fixed now.

Hotfixes takes several patches (months) to get fixed, this include gamebreaking bugs like:

  1. The old kraken penetrating rounds applied to plasmas/burning.

    1. Siege not rewarding accolades.
  2. Ghost parries.

Worst part is, a lot of these bugs you will discover as a seasoned player, by playing for just a few hours, which clearly shows that the devs are on a strickt time/money budget since they clearly havent been play tested probably.

Rant is over!

(Quick side note:

I am by no means a hater of this game, and i consider myself a SM2 glazer, but at this point i would gladly take a big QoL hotfix patch over any cosmetic patch, since the game at this point keeps breaking every patch).

General Are Saber catering to a much smaller percentage of the player base?

Back in February 2025 Saber confirmed that:

15% — of weekly active players play at least one Absolute match.

12% — of total daily playtime is spent on Absolute difficulty.

60% — average win rate on Absolute difficulty, compared with 50% on Lethal.

Presently in 2026 if I’m not mistaken, the success rate for Absolute difficulty is around 80%. However if we look at the stats, less than 20% of the player base were even engaging with Absolute which I think they “tried to” remedy a bit by locking cosmetics behind it (which people cheesed anyway).

So if Saber by their own admission can see the majority of the player base stick to lower difficulties then what is the idea behind constantly trying to force higher difficulty engagement? You’d think it would make sense to cater to the larger portion of your player base right? Capes got cheesed and now Lamenter armour is getting cheesed, that is a clear indicator Saber is seemingly out of touch.

Before you elitists go off on your “get good” rhetoric just keep in mind I only play Absolute and have NO PROBLEM with high difficulty games, I enjoy a “fair”challenge (grinding endlessly for hours isn’t a challenge fyi, it’s a chore). I’m simply able to see things from other people’s perspective and understand their frustration.

I was very poor and i couldn't afford a pc or even a laptop when 2 was released, never played part 1, now i have a decent laptop to run it.

I mostly know about warhammer 40k through lore videos, the emperor's rise and the famous horus heresy. watched a lot of cutscenes of space marines part 1 and 2, the only thing i could afford back then.

I love salamanders so i definitely will pick the class with flame thrower.

Tip/Guide PSA FOR HEAVY PLAYERS!

The "Venting speed" statistic on the Heavy bolter effects how fast it cools down, but also (unmentioned in any form) its heatup speed. so if you wish to shoot for longer periods not effected by the weapons lack of manual cool-down.

it also effects the other heatup weapons (flamers and plasma)

Fashion Marine Year 3 packs guesses

Thumbnail

I decided to look online what might be in the upcoming packs and found couple of images that caught my attention or seemed like something that could be added.

Deathwatch Champion - Phobos one, leaked

Mortifactors - yeah, probably a lot of bones on the armor

Imperial Fists Champion 2 - I found this model. It would add a new beaky helmet and chest without an aquila, but overall not very impressive. Maybe a good opportunity to add the IF shield.

Minotaurs - Pic of Chapter Master Moloc, just to give an idea the direction to expect.

Blood Angels Champion 2 - popular guess is Sanguinary Priest

White Consuls - no idea, seems like it might be UM pack in disguise.

Crimson Fists - no idea as a lot of IF items fit them, too. Maybe some older marks pieces?

Redacted champion - I've seen a lot of people wish for Dark Angels and Interrogator-Chaplain. If there is a plan to add Chaplain as a class, I expect they would save it for that. If Chaplain becomes a class. I found this IH IW champion model that could inspire new IH champ for some better bionics.

Accolade shop - Older marks are so far a dream. Adding better bionic legs is probably my biggest wish right now. Oh, and some of the story UM pieces.

Game Feedback Melee contested health regen

I never really played Assault/Bulwark other than leveling them to p4 and just now started to farm the 50 absolute cloak on Assault - so I never realized how much CH regen on melee weapons sucks.

It is so bad that they might not give any contested health at this point and it would not really make any difference.
Any charged thunder hammer hit should regen huge amounts of contested health when really it gives like 5%? Wtf? And other weapons are not really that much better.

So when playing a melee class I have to bring a secondary that has good CH regen or else I'm f***ed whenever there is no executable enemy around? Great.

PS: Why do classes that can't bring a primary at the very least get more ammo for their secondary and/or decent ammo regen perks (bulwarks auxiliary reload exists i know)? A single Zoan takes half of the ammo of a PP and that requires you to hit every single shot.

Game Feedback Can my boy Sniper get the Occulus Bolt Carbine Saber?

• Upvotes

Like the Bolt carbine is godtier on Sniper but It just feels weird playing a class called "Sniper" and using a close range full auto gun without a scope. At least the Occulus will feel more appropriate with the class's identity.

Plus I think the Occulus variant would be fun in conjunction with all of Sniper's damage perks.
