Game Feedback Yada Yada crucible

Post image

Greetings brothers.

I'm definitely not saying anything new here by saying crucible mode just isn't good, but to atleast attempt to be positive about the game mode i think there's some inklings of real difficulty and challenge in it.

Main examples being.

Against the tide +3 enraged Majoris enemies per wave (team stacks up to 3/3).

Pandemonium Increases Majoris-level enemy spawn rate by 25%. Which stacks if your teammates. (Which i love)

Extremis Threat Level (Team Penance): Spawns a random Extremis-level enemy every 3 minutes.

Elite Vanguard (Team Penance): Adds 1 more Terminus-level enemy to assault waves.

These modifiers are wonderful, real examples that saber CAN make real difficulty but its often times ruined by the fact you HAVE to take percentage based debuffs just go get access to the actual difficulty, one principle of game design is buffing the enemies rather then nerfing players, im not saying its perfect standard for balancing but I feel like dome of it has to be applied to crucible since once again, "haha fuck you take more damage" or "haha fuck you do less damage" not to mention the higher Penance level you go up. THAT JUST HAPPENS ANYWAY. Its honestly left me do confused as to who this game mode is even for.

Casual players? No.

Sweaty players? (Myself) sureeeeee?

Like. Personally I LOVE a challenge, true solo? Easy. True solo hard siege? Easy. Grey weapons on absolute? Kinda miserable but doable. Im close to 3k hour, I've been playing this game since launch. this gamemode isn't fun, meaningless rewards in the Penance track because whats something every player in the absolute late game of space marine 2 needs? Thats right! FUCKING ACCOLADES!. oh boy can't wait to not use these till the new update drops since I already bought everything and am sitting on 1k. What should we give the players who are very experienced and want to test themselves, the thing they probably already dont need!. Look, im not saying its the worst thing ever, but come on it just feels like a slap in the face for the amount of effort actually required to get them let alone the time investment to actually get to them, plus honestly I dont have much to say on the fact you lose exp when losing, I detest that system, its akin to darktides havoc which crucible mode is just that, but worse. Atleast you have multiple chances wity havoc before you lose a rank.

Now, the armor one of the only good things to come out of crucible, its gorgeous I have no complaints about the looks... but not ever class gets an entire suit of it. Classes that come to mind are heavy Vanguard and sniper, no legs? Oh, cool, great, love putting in the same amount of effort for some of the worst classes for crucible only to be told to go fuck myself. AND the fact its the same helmet for every class? YIPPEE YIPPEE! Jump for joy!... really? Just copy paste the same mk10 tacticus helmet? Thats basically just the survivors helmet but cooler? (As shown in the image above)

I suppose I should take about crucible cheese, personally I did it, but only so I could skip the grind and mess around with true solo on crucible (do not recommend doing it with all debuffs but its orgasmic when you complete one with all debuffs) anyway, if you're doing the crucible cheese? Good, keep doing it, this game mode does not respect you, your time, or your effort. Show saber you would rather cheese a terrible game mode and avoid it all together then suffer thru something artificial and unfun.

So I guess im closing, I didn't really stay positive but its hard to when the only good thing's about the game mode are burried under layers of bullshit. I was excited for crucible, iv had fun with crucible but objectively speaking? Undercooked. Untested. Artificial. Slop. Thank you for your time.

P. S

I dont exactly think the enemy's getting harder the higher Penance level you get is the worst thing ever, it just doesn't couple well with everything else.

Forum Question Are metallic/silver deathwatch astartes accurate?

Post image

I was going through the research centre in Space Marine 2 and I noticed the entry for the deathwatch looks a bit different than normal. His base color looks like mechanicus grey, or maybe iron warrior rather than the usual blacks you would expect although perhaps it could be the lighting?. If it isn't would you say this color scheme is lore accurate? or just a space marine 2 thing?

Lore Discussion Question about the runes

Post image

I dont know if this has been answered yet but the runes on this exorcist’s armor are they exclusive to that chapter or are those runes in some sort of universal language? Also what do these runes represent?

General Hard siege is easier with bots than with randoms.

I'm not even complaining, I had my fun with my BA boys, but why are we playing hard siege with no perks, not buying any priests, sitting on them points just to die back to back and leaving after the first or second sector? :D

Operations I’m tired boss

So having just completed the Tactical crucible and can now rock the lamenters armour I have come to some conclusions.

1) The amount of runs needed even without failing is ridiculous. Started out at the launch playing crucible and for the first 3 levels it was alright, just like hard strats so nothing too bad. Then I realised just how little exp I was getting by not completely nerfing my character into oblivion. Never took the friendly fire one as that is just asking for trouble. Didnt take range damage nerf because as Tac you either go range or melee and I like popping heads. Even taking pretty much all others it was 7 or so runs a level. That is bonkers

2) Crucible doesnt make you better at the game. This one may be controversial but I am open to hear other opinions. How is taking extra damage and dealing less making you better at the game? How is an Assault dropping down a ledge and taking half a health bar of damage making them better at the game? How is getting obliterated by spore mines because a teammate killed a bunch of enemies then didnt clear the mines making you better at the game? All these reasons and more make me believe that its not so much showing how good you are but just how lucky you can be.

3) Wish friends could join after you start. Level 1-2 I found teams of randoms and worked pretty well, that all changed after I hit level 3. I would start a match. Make sure not on private and never join someone on a mission even going quick start. Did have 1-2 players join at the start of some games but as soon as they go down they leave so I solo the rest. For a team based game, solo seems to always prevail.

After all this I was over it. Having played since launch I have done everything this game has thrown at me. Did lethal and got the helmet when it first came out and had the spore mine apocalypse. Did absolute when that first dropped and prevailed there. Prestige came so ground out every character to P4 lvl25. Then came the ultra grind and everything I had done previously was not counted. Even did PvP and got to 50 before they handed everyone all the weapons. So after soloing 4 matches in a row I just cheesed crucible.

Now some of you may cry fowl but honestly, I couldnt care. I have the armour for one character and not gonna bother for the rest. The ultra chuds that want to earn it by slogging through 40ish matches per character, more power to you but I for one am sick of the constant grind and Saber moving the goals every new patch making the time I have put in pointless. I could have started playing now and earnt it all at the same time.

Sorry for the rant, feel free to crucify me but I have got the armour set. Atleast until the next ultra grind comes out

I'm sorry crucibro but i just want to grind my cape in vox peacefully 😔, it pisses me as much as you that i had to leave so many crucible lobbies. We have no choice and no dedicated matchmaking for crucible.

Tip/Guide Stuck in a dilemma

Post image

Hi. Ive been following Warhammer 40k lore for some time now and i really want to move into gaming verse. Ive played Boltgun pirated and really loved it. I just want to buy SM2 to contribute to the dev's the game seems to have a lot of passion put into the lore. The question is that i can only afford 1 and idk if base game is enough and there are lot of cool DLC chapter armour so idk which is the best option and i have no idea if the online PvP and PvE environment is still alive. Thank you
