stopped uploading to my old channel Puppetory about 6 months ago. Honestly, I thought the channel was pretty much dead.
But today I checked my YouTube Studio analytics and something caught my attention.
In the last 28 days, the channel reached 221 unique viewers.
178 were new viewers who discovered my content for the first time. Another 40 were casual viewers, and 3 were regular viewers.
That might not sound like much, but after 6 months without uploading, seeing new people still discover my old videos feels different.
It made me realize something. Maybe a channel isn't completely dead just because you stop posting. Sometimes your old content can still reach people.
I'm thinking about bringing Puppetory back, but I want to be smart about it instead of uploading randomly again.
For those of you who have revived an inactive YouTube channel, I have a few questions.
Did you continue with your old channel or start a new one?
How long did it take for your views to recover after returning?
And would you focus on Shorts, long form videos, or both?
I'd genuinely appreciate hearing about your experiences because I'm trying to figure out whether Puppetory deserves another shot.
