Hi everyone,
Every winter it’s the same story for me: ten tabs open between the resort’s booking site, Booking and Airbnb, and still no clue whether the apartment is 50 m or 1 km from the first chairlift, or whether the resort sits high enough to be sure of getting snow, and so on.
So I put together Skitrack in my spare time. It was supposed to be a personal tool to organise my own trips with friends, and then it got a bit out of hand...
How it works:
- you filter the resorts you’re interested in, then compare them side by side
- for each resort, listings are pulled from the official booking sites (the France Montagnes list, so 91 ski areas) as well as from Booking, Airbnb, Abritel, GreenGo, Gîtes de France...
- each listing shows the number of bedrooms, how many people it sleeps and the distance to the nearest operating lift (when the exact location is known; otherwise you get an approximate distance)
- a shared shortlist, like a wishlist, so a group can make up its mind before booking
It obviously works for France (I’m French, as you may have guessed), but it also covers every resort in Europe, Switzerland, Italy and Austria included of course.
It’s a personal project, still rough around the edges, which is exactly why I’m posting here:
- When you’re looking for ski accommodation, what information do you miss the most?
- When choosing between two resorts, what do you actually compare?
- If you try it and something breaks, tell me, don’t hold back.

Thanks in advance for your feedback, and have a great season everyone!
