I’m wondering if you guys utilized Chat GPT for preparation? Does it help at all? If not, then why?

The SAT Oct was utterly a disaster to me and like it or not I have to retake. RW I'm fine with it but Maths is surprisingly low (guess I fucked up somewhere and I'm super stupid at geometry and trigonometry)
December is too soon and March is too late. The earliest I can start grinding is at the very end of Oct since I'm still stuck with school exams. I heard people say Oct RW is only less harder than Aug and that December is usually easy (I also heard that with 2025 Dec)
I'm so lost and tired and I don't wanna waste my family's money again and technically my future. I appreciate your help in advance.

I was going to make a oneprep account but I'm not sure the free plan is enough. Satquestionbank.org was another one I was considering but people said it was outdated or something like that. Can anyone help?

For those of that scored above a 1550, how many attempts did it take you to get to that score and what were your scores like in your previous attempts. The october SAT was my 3rd attempt and my superscore is a 1520. I'm deciding whether its a good idea to register for November and take the SAT for the 4th time.

Part of me feels a little bit bitter. I applied to mostly all safety schools and it's too late for many if I wanted to actually apply to some that are more suited to what I really like, given their scholarships. I didn't think my score would have been this good, given on the ACT I got a 25 with an exceptionally higher math 31. At least I'll still be able to hopefully get into the honors colleges I want. :D
Thank you, to this subreddit, for all of the resources I've gotten to really power through this. Sometimes it's not always about the destination. It's the chase. We're all working hard to do well and sometimes that includes getting into the top programs in the state.
If you guys need advice, I can give you some.

A year of hard work and grinding the same thing again and again. Hurt me the most from September score but that didnt stop. 1600 still feels unreal!

I'm an ESL student, so my R&W weren't that strong, but math was much easier for me.
Tbh, seeing all those 1500s makes me wonder if I should take the SAT again 😭

Just asking people who had improved their score form 1450 to 1550+, how much studying did you take?
690 rw, 760 math btw
Also with Reading + Writing the first few vocab problems always mess me up. I tried watching youtube videos for tips, and doing a lot of practice on the SAT question bank website but I'm always stuck between two answers. Do anyone have any tips for these type of questions?

So i’m currently a junior right now. My first time taking the sat was last november no studying and this year i kinda studied ish mostly just like tricks and stuff. I feel like i can move up but again my studying wasn’t consistent and was some day here and there mostly all last moment. I want to get a 1350+ by december i have booked my november sat. i’m scared that i wont get to a 1450+ by the end of jr year. Any advice ?

I don’t understand, I tried to study as much as I can before taking this test and I know I never took the SAT before so I wasn’t able to get an insight of it, I understand I was in the Air Force for some time and haven’t remember the things I had fresh in mind back a couple of years ago when I was a senior but mane this was so disappointing. I definitely want to take it again in December but this really broke my heart, I can’t do the practice test on my home desktop (it’s very old and I can’t afford a new one atm) so what can I do to improve from this to at least 1150?

I’m applying to college in the next couple of months and plan on applying to Yale, Stanford, and Columbia as my long long shots. I’m getting really busy and while I know the test score should be higher, if I have good extra curricular and essays (which I think I do) should I stop and put my time into actually getting these applications done?
For context I’m have a quite prestigious college counselor so I’m quite confident on the fact that I have good ECs and Essays (not bragging or anything I just am confident on that front)

Hi, so I’m not native speaker, and I really need 1500+ in November, you can see my score from October SAT, and in 1 month (from the start of September) I got a jump by +320 points (my score was 1070, R&W: 480, Math: 590). Hardest parts for me:
- Words in Context
- Command of Evidence
- Cross Text Connections
- Central Ideas and Details
Do you think that it’s possible for me to get 1500+ on November, and if yes, could you share the tips that you used to do these topics.

so this is obviously better than my last score (a 1440) but I genuinely didn't study at all and was carried by desmos throughout so I feel like I can expect a big improvement in math if I study and take it which would propel me to a 1550+, but the thing is I'm going to major in polsci so I'm not really sure how important the math section is for me. do they weight the r/w higher considering my major?
r/Sat • u/Remarkable_Bid_7934 • 16h ago
Context: September was my first test - I got a 1450 (750-700). Then I studied for probably 6 hours and got a 1510 (760-750). I really want a 1550. How can I get those 50 points in the math section, as I hear they're really accessible. I've gotten 790s on the bluebook practice test math sections, which I find wayyy easier than the real test.
My biggest issue has been just not recognizing problem formats on the test and just trying BS on desmos until it works, which wastes time and doesn't work.

yo i need honest answers, whenever i look up for SAT, it usually says that scoring 1500+ is like super hard and stuff on google.
But i wanna know how hard is SAT for indian students with strong maths, and as for english, my english is not that bad either, better then average indian students i would say.
also it ain’t like i am still in school, i have completed school an year ago, i am 20 years old rn, i am planning to give SAT in december, will i be able to score 1540 if i study daily for 3-4 hours until dec? i am almost done with khan academy’s SAT prep.

Whats the difference between a 1540 superscore and a 1540 normally?
