Now that you clicked on this post, here’s a few things that you should know.

Some people ask similar questions quite often.

• I’m moving here, where should I live?

• Who’s coming for “remember the alamo day” and where should I eat dinner?

New Mexico hit its 2030 renewable energy target six years early, reaching 50% renewable electricity in 2024. Its largest utility generated 80% carbon free power in 2025, as the state expands wind, solar and battery storage.

While trying to figure out who and want I wanted to vote for, I collected all the links and made a lil voter guide for Santa Fe:

I usually make this for myself, my friends and family, but thought it would be helpful for the whole community.

Slight chance of a tornado and/or severe hail. Try to budget in extra time in your commute for the possibility weather related events. The FEMA app works well at issuing severe weather alerts.

For the latest forecast visit:

The weather radar at the National Weather Service Albuquerque:

https://radar.weather.gov/station/kabx/standard
The default radar can help you determine what the weather conditions will be before you head out, and the high resolution radar can help you predict the timing of later weather as it has a larger map.

First dance choreography - Pharaohs by Tears for Fears

We are getting married next fall and are both a bit intimidated by the thought of a first dance. We love the song Pharaohs by Tears for Fears and would love to find someone whether that be local (santa fe) or even online, who could help us figure out a dance to go along with this song that isn't too involved, just something simple and beautiful.

Would love to hear anyone's thoughts or ideas!

Rays above ABQ

This is the sunrise in Albuquerque this morning 10/22/26 peeking through the clouds.

Crepuscular rays are those dramatic beams of sunlight that fan out across the sky during sunrise or sunset, usually breaking through gaps in clouds or mountains. They look like they're converging at a single point, but that's just an optical illusion caused by perspective, much like parallel train tracks appearing to meet in the distance.

Fall is here, anyone need gutters cleaned or a driveway pressure washed?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Figured I’d put this out there since fall is the best time to get the exterior of the house taken care of before winter.

I do gutter cleaning around town. I clear out the leaves, dirt, and debris, bag it up and haul it away, and flush the downspouts so water drains the way it should. Clogged gutters tend to go unnoticed until water is spilling over the edge or ice builds up along the roofline, so it’s worth getting done before the first real storms or snow.

I also do pressure washing for driveways, sidewalks, patios, and siding. If your concrete has stains, oil spots, or that dark buildup, it makes a big difference, and I have before and after photos from recent jobs if you want to see them.

Pricing for both depends on the size of the house or area, so if you send me a photo or a rough idea of what you’re working with, I can get you a quote without needing to come out first. If you want to do both in one visit, I’m happy to work out a better price.

Thank you!

Presbyterian affiliated doctors

Does anyone here have experience you can relate, with primary care (family) doctors who are linked to the Presbyterian system, here in Santa Fe? I have had a good 10 year experience with Presbyterian specialists (here and in ABQ), and have become disenchanted with my Christus linked primary care doc here. I know leaving a doc and looking for a new one, given the difficulty of finding one in the first place, is maybe a fool's errand...Thanks for advice in advance.

FARMERS ALONG THE RIO GRANDE:PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR UNM RESEARCH STUDY

Hi there,

I am a PhD Candidate in Sociology at the University of New Mexico seeking farmers to participate in a research study about farming along the Rio Grande and in nearby agricultural communities in New Mexico.

I am interested in learning about farmers' experiences with land and water, the economic realities of making a farm work over time, the ways farmers exchange knowledge and resources, and how changing environmental and water conditions affect farmers and their well-being.

You may be eligible to participate if you:

·       Are 18 years of age or older

·       Currently farm or work on a farm

·       Are currently farming in New Mexico

·       Have at least 5 years of experience with sustainable farming

·       Are able to participate in an interview conducted in English

What does participation involve?

Participation involves a 45–90 minute interview about your experiences with farming, land, water, agricultural communities, and the challenges and opportunities involved in sustaining a farm over time.

Interviews can take place in person, by phone, or by Zoom, depending on your preference.

Participation is completely voluntary. You may choose not to answer any question or stop the interview at any time.

Interested or want to know if you qualify?

Please contact me directly by email rather than commenting on the public post:

PhD Candidate, Department of Sociology

Feel free to share this recruitment notice with other farmers who may be interested.

San Antonio Hot Springs Road conditions?

Headed to Santa Fe this weekend and hoping to check out San Antonio Hot Springs.

I saw online that some people say it can be difficult to get to. I'm just going to be in whatever sedan the rental car place gives me.

Hoping someone local can let me know the deal.
