Hey, I am a 24F and looking for something to do this Halloween in the Naples fort myers area. I’ve seen bar crawls, are those worth it? Would love ideas! Send any recommendations or ideas/links of things to check out!

Have a great rest of the week and thanks for the help!

Hello Naples residents! I am a junior in high school here in Collier County, and I am performing a quantitative correlational research study on the role of Canadian tourism and it's growth in Southwest Florida.

However, in order to complete this project, I have an extremely simple survey that every resident of SWFL is eligible to fill out! It is 100% confidential and will be used to expand the literature in this category, and would help out a local student very much! Thank you all in advance!

Does anyone else think that Estero needs a nice gym with childcare? I feel like the gulf coast LA fitness continues to go downhill and I was especially annoyed when they completely discontinued their childcare. I would love a big, nice gym in the coconut point area. Do you agree?

Have a hive setting up home under the gutter near my front door. Any recommendations? Would prefer to have them collected, but they need to be removed before they can cause bigger problems.

I'm making a map of Florida in a classic fantasy style (sorta Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones). It's going to be filled with real world history and mythology, with the aim of highlighting local landmarks and history in a fun and educational way. Please ignore how rough parts of it look (text going through hills, rivers, etc), it'll all get cleaned up at the end. Forests will be going on towards the end of the process too.

While it's around halfway done, I'd love to get more places and features in here before I get this made into print. Any more burial mounds, ruins, forts, battlefields, Civil War heritage, Native history or the like that you think should be on here? Anything else is great too - landmarks, natural features, mythological creatures or just anything cool and quirky you think would look good on the map. Thanks!

Calling all Southwest Florida nonprofits!

I'm a local close-up magician getting into walk around and table hopping performances, and I'd love to donate an hour of magic to a charity event.

Galas, fundraisers, auctions, volunteer appreciation nights, community events: if your guests are mingling, I can roam the room and perform up close magic right in their hands. It's a fun icebreaker and gives people something to talk about.

No cost to your organization. I'm building experience, and you get free entertainment for a good cause.

If you're planning something in the Fort Myers area, email me at ctcmagician@gmail.com.

I live in the Punta Gorda area and am looking for some homegrown honey. Where can I locate some. tia

Before doing business with these scam artists, Joe Valdez and Rigo, please type either company name or Joe Valdez! Two scammers!
Valdez is the biggest piece of shit layer on the face of the earth- he needs to be deported back to whatever third world country he came from! My pool took a year and still have pool deck tiles sinking and no help in site! Have your lawyer rewrite their contract before signing or run for the hills!
They WILL NOT honor any of their commitments or warranties!
Look up Sunshine Pools- he was the owner …

Hey all, my wife and I have moved back to Florida after years away. The biggest thing we'd love to do is to learn how to sail. We've seen YouTube videos so we aren't coming in from zero, but I'm also well aware that textbook knowledge and doing the thing are two entirely separate things. So what we're looking for is someone that has a boat, and needs some extra help on the weekends. The best thing is you don't even need to pay us. Teaching us the ropes, pun intended, is enough for us. In exchange we can provide witty banter, friendship, and a pack of your favorite beer. Any takers?

My younger brother turns 25 this week and I want to take him out to a place with a crowd his age where we can talk to girls his age. He has no game. I just want to take him out and spark up some conversations with women around his age. Any recommendations between Port Charlotte and Fort Myers? Thanks

Hi everyone,

With hurricane season and storm recovery always on our minds down here, I’m running a brief research survey focusing on how we live outdoors (lanais, patios, yards) and how power outages impact households across Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties.

The survey takes about 5 to 6 minutes:

👉Take the Survey Here

What it covers:

• How you use your patio, pool, or lanai space year-round
• Experiences with storm outages, backup power, and recovery hurdles
• Feedback on an early-stage concept for modular solar power integrated into outdoor living

Follow-up Interviews:

At the end of the survey, you can optionally opt in for a 45-minute follow-up interview. We will be selecting several participants to chat further, and selected interviewees will receive a $50 gift card for their time.

I cleared this post with the mods beforehand. I promise no sales pitches or spam, and your responses are completely confidential.

Thanks for helping out!

I saw this while in the car. Someone important should do something about it because I don’t know any plumbing. If I rains even harder, the water might get onto the road and cause accidents.

More Florida-wide question…but what do veterans think about Amendment 3? 100% P&T already have a property tax deduction to zero….this amendment will likely increase loa al taxes to bridge the gap, costing veterans who live in FL due to the friendly military environment. Amendment 3 actually reduces a major benefit for our veterans.

Every day you don't start training your muscle is irreversibly turning into fat. Start training with me to take the first step. I'm not the most experienced, I've only been going for 6 months but I can help you get on the right track. I train at LA fitness in Naples. This is not an ad or anything I just want someone to train with and we can both motivate each other.

Hello.
Any recommendations for restaurants with happy hour food and beverage specials in either Naples or North Naples areas, convenient to Rt. 41? Somewhere that can accommodate about 15 people.

so I’m new to the Fort Myers area and been wanting to start a small business (as in no employees atm just me doing side hustles at first) that would generate enough income for me to quit my 9-5 or at least work less hours in my regular job. I’ve been trying to think about what is in demand right now or overall what people would be interested in buying and stuff you haven’t seen people selling in the area. I’m also Puerto Rican so food can be an option. Please help me out by leaving some comments!!

PREFERABLY send DM if not just leave comment please

ALSO serious responses only

I can’t believe I have to say this but obviously I’m not looking to make infrastructure. I’m simply looking for some side hustles to do. I’m not asking what you guys would like to do in SWFL I’m asking what you would buy from someone.
