I've always liked grounding fiction to reality, and I keep brainstorming what would happen if SCPF universe was grounded to reality, like what if foundation didn't have infinite money, and infinte resources, like then if you lose a helicopter or transportation truck, you have to spend your limited money to fix it.
And there are also governments, and they are also advancing in technology so foundation would have to find way to mine metals and resources, would have to find way to transport MTF units, anomalies, and etc, and ofcourse big sites like site-19 would have subterranean nuclear plants, so they'll have to manage heat, and exporiting ratioactive metal for controll rods.
So, in your openion what would be more facinating, Sci-Fi or reality grounded?

My personal favorite for SCP-001 is The Database, and I headcanon it as the real SCP-001.
I don’t know; it just hits me differently in a way that I can’t explain well.

Sooooo yeah, my take on SCP-173, I leaned more on like an unfinished work but that's like every other great redesigns (also, another drawing but of the original image). (Yes, pixel art :P)

That’s it. Imagine an SCP-verse where the Veil does not exist, no such mechanism to near-completely conceal paranormal to the public. People always knew the very existence of them.
It also means the lack of a hidden “paranormal world” parallel to our own. No Veil means no need/possibility of a “magical world” sealed from our own one.
I don’t exactly know why, but apparently this idea hasn’t attracted much attempts yet. Sure we have Broken Masqurade, but that’s about the Veil suddenly collapsing. I’m talking about the Veil being non-existent at all.
So, what I want to ask is: Do you find the idea of a Veil-less world attractive? Why or why not?

I need more good written Scp files to read because I’m bored (I have read roughly very Scp from 1-500)

[99% of the article is about the universe]
Best articles that do this?
Is there any scp that's about music or that includes music in its storytelling? Or even sounds in general?

I think it's a shame how things can be so hard to find after they're deleted from the wiki.
Since SCP-3333 has been (controversially) rewritten multiple times, is there anywhere that previous versions have been archived? Viewing past revisions via the History module on the wiki doesn't include images or hyperlinked exploration logs, and the Wayback Machine is also missing the exploration logs.
Real answers please, I don't care if the old versions aren't worth my time reading. I like it when media is preserved and I'd like to be able to see and compare it.

I am looking for articles that have a big focus on the science/sci-fi element in the realm of astrophysics. I am NOT particularly interested in grandiose far away future/"unrealistic" space exploration/space opera type articles. That doesn't mean that the implications of the SCP can't be grandiose, it just means I want a more grounded feeling foundation. Excessive technobabble in this field does not scare me.
As an example article, I think SCP-2998 definitely scratches that itch for me, especially in the description of the signal (even though the article evolves much further than that).
Would be super duper happy with recommendations :) Thanks!

Both are complete opposite One believing in the eradication of all anomaly, superstition and belief. One is a group made up by three religious superpowers which are Islam, Christianity and Judaism. In this hypothetical battle to the death , who wins sapphire or the horizon initiative in terms of military power.

This was a tale from some years ago on the SCP Wiki, I've tried finding it again, but I've had no luck, as I remember very little. Here's what I do remember:
It either had multiple chapters or multiple stories in a series.
The first chapter/story, involved an SCP personnel (she wasn't D-Class), a Wanderer's Library Docent, a member of the Serpent's Hand, and I think a member of the GOC, traveling through a snowy place to get to some building. The Foundation member nearly fell through the ice but the Librarian saved her, and everyone made it to the building.
I don't remember why everyone had to go to the building, I think there was some kind of agreement/truce because something there needed guarding.
After some time in the building, people slowly start getting killed off, and those remaining are trying to find the murderer.
I remember I thought the writing was really descriptive, and the mystery was good, but again, this was years ago and now I barely remember anything.
This was definitely a tale though, not an SCP article. Thank you for your help!

I've read most of it, it's very interesting but I feel like I'm missing something.

I want to build a model of an SCP facility. Could you provide me with a schematic or map for this, and I would like it to be in the style of a containment breach.

I'm only so far aware of Alagadda, Three Portlands, Daleport and Sloths pit.
Are there any more iconic locations and some great tales/articles linked to them?

I just find him as such an interesting character and would like to read more. I know about Ouroboros so no need to tell me that.

I was thinking about something, particularly in reference to groups like Gamers Against Weed. They're characterized by being a "youthful" and shitposty GOI included with the idea of contemporary internet culture. However, they were created with that nearly a decade ago. If you follow the gamer's against weed dossier (linked here).
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/gamers-against-weed-dossier
The founders of GAW are 28-29. Do you personally take that as 28-29 at the time of the Dossier's writing (2017) or do you take it as 28-29 whenever NOW is? In 2026, these guys are gonna be pushing 40. Aging them up isn't necessarily a bad thing, but what it does do is that it isolates them a touch from their archetype as stock characters. They go from being chronically online youths with magic powers to chronically online millennials.
Similarly let's take SCP-239. Her primary characterization is being an unaware 8 y/o child with reality warping powers. However, that was written in 2008. If you are to write a story taking place in 2026 featuring Sigurrós, would she still be 8 (I.E. in a form that anyone familiar with her linked article would recognize her as) or is she 26 (and effectively be a completely different character from the ground up).
I'm not saying any particular of these choices are better or worse than the other, but it fascinates me all the same. In your headcanons, should these characters exist in their most recognizable forms in the current day or age along the context of their creation?
