Hi everyone. This post may sound dumb. But hopefully it reaches a kind audience.

I’m 26 years old, a sophomore at SBU. I am a local born and raised on Long Island. I had started at Suffolk in 2020 after taking a gap year then what turned into a gap year led to me taking months off from school.

I don’t want to make this long.. I used to come to SBU with my friends who attended here years ago. It was a lot of fun especially the clubs etc. I always wanted to go to SBU. While I’m no longer friends with those people, I just transferred in. I find myself lost. The age gap. The friendships. Not knowing where to go.

I’ve done all my courses online just fearing of being lost in general. I went in today to give my midterm and I haven’t sat for an exam in person since high school. I had so much going on through my head and I 100% flunked that midterm. I gave the most ridiculous answers.

Any advice or tips for moving forward.. or should I even more forward?

I just sat through three hours of math classes with a construction crew right outside the door jackhammering and banging away on the walls next to us nonstop the entire time.

How the hell are classes supposed to work like this? Even my professor couldn’t think straight through his lecture because it was so noisy. One of those classes was a complete waste.

Everyone around me seems to be excelling in this horrible class but I got a 44 on the first midterm, and the second one is tomorrow. Im feeling a little more prepared for this one but I'm still so scared for it like will I even pass the class if I also do horrible on this next midterm? I do weekly tutoring, all the hw, and I most of the practice tests but I'm not confident in my work unless I have notes next to me.

that exam was horrible does anyone know if he’s going to curve this test or any test after Or even the final grade because it’s not looking too good.

im not the type of person to care so much if something happens with my drink bc everyone makes mistakes but why is it that everytime i order theres always something wrong with my drink. and every time i say something about it they roll their eyes at me or give me an attitude.

one time i had to wait TWO WHOLE HOURS for my order. when i asked about it after the first hour the worker just told me "we're busy". i wait another hour and asked again and THEN they tell me they never received my order. actual bs.

I’m actually struggling in CHE154 lab. I did everything I could, and put a lot of effort in my lab report just to receive a grade below 80 because of very silly reasons that shouldn’t even get deducted. I feel like I’m the dumbest person in that class 😭. Any tips for a consistent A in every lab report? Please help…

I need more credits and can't afford SBU winter/summer classes. Is it possible for me to do winter/summer classes with a CUNY? Or even if I was actively s SBU student and take an online course at a CUNY while actively taking and being enrolled in SUNY?

my advisor suggested i complete this form since i had to do two labs from the same area in my interdisciplinary specialization for bio (bc one i had to do for pa school prereqs). has anyone ever completed this form and what did u say?

I’m currently a senior in a health science track , but I have missing assignments in scholarly writing that I know I’m not getting full credit for . Some of them are worth a heavy chunk of the grade and I’m afraid I’m going to fail for the semester . How does this affect graduation and moving on with my education for next semester ?
