The producers are actually useful. 160 food per 2 days in total means 8 meals per day. Its good because of its stability to get resources you need: No blights, no raiders, no overwhelming food storages - just stable income. The tree guy actually the fuel producer without exploding your entire base to pieces because you wanted to feed them grass instead of using modded nutrient paste machine.
Barkskins are better than claws: your pawns will be already powerful enough to deal damage and barkskins will be useful until you’ll reach the max expectations threshold because of their cost to the colony. 170 barkskin dryads will cost you somewhat like a husky, but because of their size and armor of the stoneskin implant it can hold on fire for longer.
Same goes to hauler one. 1$ per each, + you don’t care about them: if they die, they’ll just respawn in 5 days. No training, no wastes, just the guy the whole life is to carry stuff. There can easily be stacked with each other.
I think the main problem of all is most of the people think that dryads will carry the run like the mechanoids do. They can for sure, but not like mechanoids. Battle dryads are not so good in combat and everyone said that already before me, but the most profitable usage of them is for economical reasons for sure
I’m not a crazy person that will play with vanilla battle dryads. I’ve started the run with evolved versions and they’re peak too. In that exact moment I’ve noticed how much even mini-barkskins can carry the fights and how much impact dryads actually do to my colony
You don’t need to have a tree for each pawn, just one for 2-3 trees with all the time they’ll need to keep trees in check. To play Gauralen style you should think about them like the one of the sources to get stuff you’ll need during the playthrough. If you have gauralen seed and free planting pawn, you should try it and you’ll see the impact of it for sure… I hope so
