I don't normally like Yahoo/SB Nation stuff, but this was actually a decent one.
The gist is that Bleday's production fall off in the 2nd half seemed to be driven a lot by him having the worst BABIP during that stretch.
Now, BABIP doesn't always means bad luck, sometimes there's a reason. But maybe he can bounce back, especially if they're not forced to give him so many AB's next season.

Congrats Nick...Maybe one of these days the Reds will make it back there...

The most impressive starter I saw was Cincinnati Reds right-hander Luke Holman, who wasn’t throwing that hard — mostly 91-93 — but had two above-average breaking balls and went right after hitters on both sides of the plate. In three hitless innings on Tuesday night, he struck out six of 10 batters he faced, walking one. A compensation round B pick in 2024 out of LSU, Holman made two starts in pro ball before undergoing Tommy John surgery in April 2025. He will need to add something for lefties, as he’s always been a three-pitch guy with the two breaking pitches, and I saw just one changeup in this outing. If that pitch becomes even a fringe-average offering, he’s a definite starter

I'm coming to share something from my collection that I feel will brighten your day. This is the full set of 1972 NLCS tickets. Your Big Red Machine beat my Pirates with a dramatic game 5 ending. This series doesn't get enough recognition, but was a fantastic one. Even from outside of Cincinnati, the 70s Reds were a powerhouse.
In my opinion, the tickets from games 3-5 are some of the best out there. The image of the riverboat and the stadium make a great centerpiece for a colorful ticket.
Why does the Pirates fan collect these? I'm a Roberto Clemente collector. These tickets represent the final games in the career of Clemente. Game 2 was his final game in Pittsburgh. In game 4, Roberto hit his final home run. Roberto had a single in the last game he ever played, game 5. He passed on December 31, 1972.
I hope you enjoy seeing these tickets.
This is the SABR write-up of game 5. If you are unfamiliar, give it a read.

I might be wrong but that's the only other place online to really speak about the Reds. My opinions:
The Good:
Good game day threads
Lots of knowledgable baseball fans
It's a pretty good group of guys that post there
The negatives:
There are lots of knowledgable fans but the boards can slant very pro analytics/sabermetrics. Which is great if you are into that kind of deep analysis. I am not. In general analysis like that has undertones of I'm smarter than you more than anything.
There are lots of good guys there but still the boards can definitely feel cliquey at times.
There is an opt in political part of the site.... I'll leave it as I was not a fan of that part of the site at all.
Outside of last season there hasn't been that many real bright spots over the years with the Reds so there is that too.

Short answer- Corey Kluber
Here is why. If feel like if the Reds were going internal with Tracy or Marin, that would have been announced already. So that leaves external hires. And since we havent gotten any scoops yet about interviews, it makes me think that at least one candidate they want to look at is with one of the remaining teams in the playoffs.
The obvious first team that pops to mind is the Guardians. One of their assistant pitching coaches, Joe Torres did work with Francona, and could be a candidate as well. But another name popped out looking at their staff, Corey Kluber. He started with them in 2025 as a special assistant to the pitching staff.
Kluber pitched for Francona for 7 seasons, and they got to be very close. Francona mentioned at the time how difficult it was to make the call to let Kluber know he had been traded.
So obviously, I could be very wrong, but I would keep Kluber in mind as a name that could pop up due to his ties to Francona and the work he's done in a pitching system that keeps cranking out great young pitching.

36 years ago my dad took me to Game 1 of the World Series. In 1990 our family traveled from western New York to Opening Day, the final home stand of the season, the home playoff games, game one of the World Series (just dad and I) and then to get some championship merchandise. I missed so much school that my 6th grade teachers threatened to hold me back. Eric Davis is/was my favorite player of all time and to be in riverfront stadium for his home run is my all time live sports moment. The fact I shared it with my dad made it all the more meaningful.
A few years ago I took my game one ticket stub to an Eric Davis signing in Batavia, New York where he was signing at the same time as Jose Canseco. Davis invited me to sit there with him for like 20-30 minutes talking about his career and giving Canseco grief about the World Series that year.
Including this past year, our family has travelled to Cincinnati 37 years for Opening Day. We missed the Covid year and the year after that as well but dad did have one of the cutouts in the stands.
This team and the ownership absolutely drives us nuts as fans but it has given my family so many memories over the years. I long for the days where maybe I can share the same kind of moment with my daughter. One can hope. Thanks for reading the long post.

I look on mlb shop, and it’s only kids size or custom‘s. And they only have white On rallyhouse. Can someone help me understand where the hell the jerseys are. I’m curiou.
Everyone is saying how the success of the Brewers, Guardians, Rays, etc. and the collapse of the Dodgers in the NLCS is showing how there is zero excuse for the Reds to also not be successful. And I understand that argument.
But it honestly feels like this round of playoffs is just pushing us further into the position that we are already in.
Big money Dodgers lose in the playoffs? Small market/money teams make it to the WS?
Ownership: Well I guess that means we can continue to not spend money and just blame it on the players not “clicking” this year. We will try again with the same mindset and a few different players next year.
There is no winning, imo.

The Brewers made money from ticket sales and concessions at their home stadium for an away-game.
Investing to make a good team pays off. Do it, or sell the team.

The Bengals infamous postseason win drought that lasted from January 6, 1991 to January 15, 2022, 11,332 days in length has now been tied by the Reds. The Reds last postseason win was on October 6, 1995, 11,332 days.
