I've had a really tough couple of years ans really feeling it now.. next Tuesday will be my first birthday fully fully alone. But I want to make a change this year and just. Relight my spark.

In the past two years my best friend died in a horrible way, other best friend had to go support their family, I lost a really good job and honestly things kept going downhill. I was in a very long term relationship. But I moved all of my things out of there yesterday and he still doesn't know I'm gone as he's away visiting friends. The relationship was a very dark volatile thing and I stayed thinking it will change but I don't want to live my life in fear and crying myself to sleep so I left this week.

I lost pretty much all of my support network and it only hit me today when I realised I'll spend my birthday broke (that's ok it's a work in progress), alone, and with nobody to even share a meal with or have a laugh with. It stung a lot.

But I want this year to be my year! I have been through a lot in my life but I never want to give up and I want this little birthday to be a reminder that I can do it and that even when I feel alone and hopeless it's never really life that!

If anyone could please send me any cards, happy, funny, anything. Just so I'm not stuck staring at a wall on my birthday after a really difficult year. I feel really embarrassed at how things have played out and how alone I am. My DMs are open.

Just got it it in the mail today as I got back home from a neighborhood walk,that was a fun surprise.

I don't know much about Philadelphia's different areas but funny enough my mom was born there and lived there for quite awhile growing up (around Kensington- was alot different back then). Id probably enjoy the Nightmare before Tinsel event myself although I'm not much for alcohol personally.

It's cool to hear about little local events and happenings in different cities,not much going on here in the suburbs of Northern Virginia unfortunately usually have to go out to the country or more busy areas.
