I've been staying in this apartment on rent from last 7 years and I purchased a new flat of my own. Already started the interior work and it is supposed to get completed in next 3-3.5 months.

My landlord visited our building few days ago and in a good faith, I told him that I will vacate his apartment in probably 3-4 months. He seemed friendly and co-operative and pretended to be find with that.

But suddenly after 3 days, he gave me 1 month notice (as per agreement) to vacate this flat.
He says he's getting 3K more rent that what I pay and I said I am ready to pay the extra rent for next 3 months, but he's not listening and says he might not find a new tenant later on.
