Question Returning player

I haven't played since Season 6. Have any core parts of the game drastically changed since? If so, what are the biggest changes a returning player should know?

Question Starter sorc build suggestions?

Hey fellow adventurers!

Long time Lod and d2r player started Pd2 last month and played a few toons. Thinking to start with sorc out of habit more than anything. Inferno into meteor was safe but not ideal with a controller. Any suggestions for other starter builds?

Mod Feedback Anyone else prefer the old materials stash page?

Firstly, thanks to the PD2 team for working hard to bring us all the fantastic changes and additions to season 14! In no way do I mean to sound ungrateful or undermine the teams efforts; I'm simply giving honest feedback here. I just found the old mats page easier to use, having it all laid out, needing to click thru less tabs and such. Anyone else agree or am I alone here?

PS. Thanks again to the PD2 devs! Hope everyone has a great S14 and don't forget to donate if you can

Discussion I'm getting surgery tommorrow

I tore my pec at the gym doing bench press 3 weeks ago and now i need to get it fixed. I'm soooo bummed out that i will miss the season start. I've been playing PD2 since season 1 and i was so hungry for this season.

Hopefully i'm gonna be able to play in a couple days/weeks with a controller probably so i don't have to move my shoulder too much.

The plan was wake of fire sin, solo to 96-97 and hit 99 in groups after.

I'll be watching from twitch.

I wish a great season start to each and everyone of you!!

Have fun !!!!

Thank you senpai and all the dev team for the great work!

Would you start for strictly farming keysets ??

Or would you recommend another sin build.

Mainly only for keysets.

Mod Feedback Beta Opt Ins

Hey, I just recently returned to d2 and am really enjoying pd2 improvements on the original.

The season 14 beta rollout prevents me from playing atm. I tried reverting to season 13 but had failed gloriously. Two hours of fiddling with an agent were enough for me to decide to just play the online beta and see what it is like (it was nice!).

I'm curious if an "Enable Beta Updates" option has ever been considered:

Before beta rollout of a new season, everyone's client would automatically update to disable online play.
Those clicking the online play menu will be prompted to "Enable Beta Updates" as "Online play is only available in Beta during season rollout", and will also be warned that "Beta does not support offline play".
Those that selected "Enable Beta Updates" will receive another update that enables online play and disables single player.

With this we get:

  1. Only one type of client is supported by the servers.
  2. Updates only block single player if you opt in for beta.
  3. "Disable Updates" remains off by default.

I hope we can get something like this considered, it will really improve user experience.
Even just having the update client mention beta schedule and offline play effects would make a big improvement.

I have good Internet service just updated and can't seem to get in game. I mostly play single player but thought I'd go ahead and update is there a way to get in or how long do I need to wait until single player is back up? Thanks 🙏 in advance

Question any recommendations on a all rounder build for a new beginner?

Hello gamers

sorry if this question have been asked before, but im planning to play PD2 today for the very first time.

i've been looking into some tier lists and been browsing this subreddit for couple days, most the list's i looked into have their build seperated in categories like, best for mapping and best for bossing etc.

im mostly looking for a 1 build that can do all or most content, and meanwhile help me learn the game.

any tips and tricks is also appreciated

thanks in advance and happy grinding today :)

Discussion Account creation

• Upvotes

I keep getting this error when I'm trying to make an account. Is there any fix? Is this caused by the servers being down.

Ps. I've changed all characters and it seems like nothing is working.

Looking For Group LF US group for Start

I’m not sure what I’m gonna play yet, assassin or barb most likely. I’m fairly experienced and would like at least a moderate speed group. We don’t have to complete hell in 3 hours, but it’d definitely be nice if we could be about an hour behind the top groups.

Thanks and if you’re looking for a group yourself, feel free to comment and I can maybe see if we can just form our own group.

Discussion pd2.tools - a site like poe.ninja for PD2 (Season 14 Update)

• Upvotes

Hi there,

pd2.tools is ready for Season 14! The main addition to the site since last season is the damage calculator.

If you aren't familiar with pd2.tools, it is very similar to poe.ninja for Path of Exile. The most used feature on the site is the builds page, which allows you to filter characters on the ladder by class, skill, item, or merc. This is useful for finding new build ideas or seeing what other people running your same build are wearing. There are also pages for economy tracking, corrupted zones, statistics like player count over time, and leaderboards for things like the most mirrored items or accounts with the most level 99s.

There's currently over 200,000 characters tracked since Season 11!

Damage Calculator

The main addition since last season is the damage calculator, which has been added to every single character page which allows you to see the damage for each skill the character has. From here you're able to open the main damage calculator page which gives you a much more detailed damage breakdown. You can also see your average damage in each map as well as damage to specific monsters. This feature was developed by u/ChaseBianchi, so huge thank you to him for his work!

Season 14

Once the season begins, players will be automatically tracked and added to the site when they reach level 80. You can still view characters from previous seasons using the season dropdown on the builds page.

Support

pd2.tools is fully open source on GitHub, and if you’ve gotten any value from the website, giving the repository a star is the best way to support the project and my work, and to motivate me to continue. Thank you very much! New contributors are also always welcome (see README for more information)!

If you have any questions or suggestions, you can leave them below or join the pd2.tools Discord and post them there.

Thank you to the PD2 team for allowing me access to the data, and thank you to everyone who's contributed to PD2.tools, and thank you for reading! I hope you find these tools useful this season - enjoy season 14!

Question League start rabies?

How similar is league starting rabies vs psn strike? Should I just level summons or creeper instead? I'm not a huge summon guy. However I wasn't a big fan of psn strike either. What are your thoughts? Appreciate it!

Question Question about season start

• Upvotes

Does it matter that I won’t be able to start the season till tomorrow? I’m worried I’ll be too far behind. I know it’s only 1 day but I feel like the start of the season tends to move fast.

Question Best budget bosser?

Hi,

I've never killed any Uber/ DClone/ Lucion/ Rathma since I play PD2, so I though that this season I will start by running a bosser.

Which one is the best no-brainer, decent, budget-friendly bosser for this season?

I though of Berserker Barbarian or Maul Druid (or Summoner?)

I have seen DarkHumility and xPoser tierlists already, but would like to have yours opinion as well.

Question Bleed build (blood golem)

I read about giving edge for the thorns aura to your merc or yourself to boost blood golem damage.

Wouldnt silence+bramble +might act5 merc be a good combination? Because he has the synergy?

Or is the thorns aura only for giving bleed but the +damage is not really good from it?

Thanks

Looking For Group LF experienced NA sorc

LF an NA sorc to reach hell and preferably get to level 80. We’ll do the zone based on wherever you live so you get the best ping. I’ll be on a warcry barb so you’ll have full buffs.

The rest of the group is mostly done. Just waiting to completely finish it while we have the sorc. At five or so right now and have a couple summoners in the group so we should roll hell chaos and other things easily.

Just message me in Reddit and I’ll DM the discord. There’s no requirement you have a mic, but you’ll need to be on discord with us.

Announcement PSA: Do not put items you want to keep in your beta guild vault as they will be wiped

We've noticed people have begun depositing items in their guild vaults on non ladder, just a reminder that guilds will be wiped at the end of the open beta

DO NOT store any items that you don't want to lose in your guild vault
