My dad totaled my 718 today
I honestly don't know what to feel. Engine and PDK is intact.
How much do you think I can get for it? (it's a 982, 70.000km)

It's not comparable to a road car, it did not expect it to be that extreme

Hi all!
I don’t pay for my cars WiFi hotspot in my 911 (992.1) and just want to use my phones data for everything, but when I get into my car it connects to the 911’s WiFi still - which doesn’t have data, so I can’t use my phone or CarPlay for anything. If I disable WiFi in the devices menu, it disables CarPlay. If I disconnect the WiFi from my phone, it disables CarPlay. I am open to being a dense idiot since I can’t figure this out haha!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! 😊

We were able to take this factory rubber/vinyl interior and make it pop! We used steel blue leather with a red stitch.

Hello, I just bought a 2014 981 Boxster that I love and have been dailying for about a month. This morning I read a thread from an unfortunate fellow who has the dreaded PDK distance sensor failure. My car is fine for now, but seeing all the comments from other owners who had the same issue, and seeing the cost to repair, gave me a thorough scare. My question is this- is this a "if not when" situation I should be budgeting for? How common is a PDK failure? I love my car and don't want to be afraid of driving it.
Edit- just messaged my indy shop here for a repair estimate and they quoted me $1500 total, I live in China for reference so that’s in line with the cost of work for a Porsche specialist, I can sleep a bit better at night 😅
Looking at two Porsches that are priced about the same and trying to decide which one to go with.
2008 Cayman: Automatic, 109k miles $15K
2005 Boxster: Manual, 105k miles $13K
My priorities are long-term value retention/appreciation and driving enjoyment. I want something that's fun to drive, has some character, and ideally won't lose much value over the next several years.
I love the Cayman’s styling, but I know the manual transmission adds to the driving experience, and the Boxster has significantly fewer miles.
For those who have owned or driven both:
Which is more fun to drive on back roads?
Which has the better chance of holding or increasing in value?
Would you prioritize the Cayman’s coupe body style or the Boxster’s manual transmission and lower mileage?
Assuming both are in comparable condition with decent maintenance history, which one are you buying and why?

So I have a 2018 GT3.
Never had any issues with it before and yesterday when entering the freeway, I noticed a substantial power loss after 6k rpm.
No Engine warning lights at all.
I have a feeling it’s the inlet manifold valve has snapped or disconnected or snapped off the actuator.
Will borescope it later today.
Anyone had experience with fixing this ?

Notable mentions ; Clear taillight, 18 way seats, Porsche Design Chronograph clock and base interior (rubber dash and door cards) for easy maintenance.

Not my car. Just admiring its beauty and sharing with enthusiasts. Thanks for looking.
