Does anyone have the specifics that add up to $250 million in benefits over 25 years? Things like "how much does Plano ISD spend on facility rentals annually that would be serviced by an 18,000 seat arena?" How much specifically over 1 year, 5 years and 25 years does Plano estimate they lose to state recapture and how would that change with $250 million expenditure on an arena? I have heard "most" and "some". I'm looking for something less speculative. Thanks!

The at grade silver line DART crossings at K avenue and Shiloh road are terrible. I cross every day to go to work and I’ve never experienced worse railroad crossings.

The Shiloh road crossing is down for 5 mins every time while the train , that doesn’t even cross the road, slowly creeps into the station at 2 mph. I got stopped at the K avenue crossing for 15 mins, pretty sure something must have been broken.

Maybe there is some conspiracy theory to make DART thru Plano so terrible that eventually we vote to get rid of it?

By removing invasive plants, we are helping protect and restore the native prairie and improve the ecological health of the preserve.

And it’s not all hard work! These workdays are a great way to get outside, learn more about our native plants and prairie habitat, meet other people who enjoy nature, and have some fun while making a difference in one of Plano’s beautiful nature preserves. 😊

This opportunity is open to adults 18+ and does NOT require Master Naturalist certification. Advanced registration and a background check, at no cost to you, are required.

On October 15th someone stole my, new to me, bike. It was behind my gate. Who steals a very obvious type of bike. Hopefully I can find it.

We've all seen the flyers and texts from the Stars PAC stating "Proposition A: Not a tax increase". But their own filing document tells the real story, stating "Tax increase for multipurpose arena for professional or amatuer sports". The ballot text is clear, "CITY OF PLANO, TEXAS PROPOSITION A: THIS IS A TAX INCREASE".

The PAC's September Campaign Finance Report shows it received $202K, all from the Stars. They're using that money to fill your mailbox with flyers, your phone with texts, and now they are hiring people (including some from out of state) to hand out door hangers. This is an attempt to sway your vote so Plano commits your tax dollars to build an arena they will get the profit from.

If this were already a done deal, why would the Stars spend so much trying to convince you? Early voting starts Monday 19 Oct, get out and vote AGAINST Plano Prop A.

And yes, they also spelled amateur wrong in their filing document.

Any recommendations on sprinkler companies ? Need to identify to location of our valves as sprinklers were installed before we purchased our home.

I'm looking for a coffee shop or anything similar that has generous seating and is a good place to chat. I need to meet someone for a serious discussion but would like to do it in a public setting with some privacy (for example, the tables aren't too close together and there are several options like a patio, couches, etc.). Ideally it would be counter-service only; I don't want to be distracted by a server frequently checking on us.
