I'm suddenly having an issue where when I press x to move an item on the axis it will not move on that axis and starts drifting even when on both relative and world axis it will not stay straight? Is there a fix to this or is anyone else having this issue?

planning a new DnD campaign with some friends and PZ2 has been oddly resourceful with some set building ideas!

Low key... Kinda want to make a whole zoo themed around this kind of cyberpunk back alley style, but IDK where to even get started incorporating actual animals!

I just started playing Planet Zoo 2 in Franchise Mode and I'm looking for some advice on how to make monéy and credit

Right now I only have two habitats with meerkats and Galapagos giant tortoises.

I'm still at the very beginning of my zoo and I don't want to waste all my starting money making mistakes.

What's the best way to farm cash ans credit ?

Should I focus donations or something else? Are there any specific animals that are especially profitable ?

Also should I build a lot of shops to make more money or is it better to start with just a few? Are shops actually profitable early ?

Is there a way that we can stop seasons from changing in sandbox mode. Id just like to pick one season to build within because the plants keep changing.

The outside is going to covered in rocks and foliage so it doesn't matter as much but I kinda don't have any ideas for how to finish the inside?

Aside from the nice looking freshwater section its kinda just meh.

Despite all its issues, really enjoying the game right now. The foliage in this game is just gorgeous, and I feel like it's never been easier to create decent-looking, natural landscapes.

Just wanted to complain as I just lost 2 juvenile African Elephants in franchise, one with 3 star gold genetics when I tired to put them in a trade center to transefer them to a different zoo, and since its franchise no loading an earlier save to try and get them back.

I'm literally just trying to make a semi-circle. Why is this so hard???? I'm 99% sure we could do this in PZ1.

The barriers will only curve the wrong way, or do an S-shape. And forget trying to go across the circle in a single pane - it barely curves at all, even with curves turned on!

I've tried placing the barrier normally, editing the post placement, placing different parts and trying to connect them, everything I can think of. Nothing works. I even tried using scenery glass and was just gonna null barrier it, but the glass is super opaque and filthy???

Shoutout to Amouu on the workshop for uploading their yurt outer shell (6JZ-0DF-CXP)! I wouldn't have known where to start without it.

Wondering if anyone has encountered this bug before. A keeper took one of my African leopards out of the surgery after it was ill then just... wandered everywhere. They didn't have a destination I noticed, so I set it for the habitat. The guy continued to wander. Tried some other destinations. Nothing. I deleted the habitat she had been in and the vet surgery to try and free her somehow. Nothing.

Eventually fired the employee. He left with the leopard. I cannot do anything with her from the animal tab in zoo management. I cannot find her. It says she is escaped in the list of animals, but there was no notification about her escape. She is hurting my welfare rating.

Any ideas on how to fix this? At this point I am hoping she can still die of old age and maybe then it will be over.

Hello! I'm not sure if this has been discussed recently, but my animals seem to be disappearing from the trading storage without me getting any of the trading cc? The game says that the connection is bad and when I save and restart, the animals do show in the history section of the trading but I didn't get any of the cc. This has happened to roughly half of the (still a pretty small number) of animals so it's really making it hard to enjoy gameplay. I think that some of the cc has also gone missing once when opening the game.

Also our birds keep escaping every time I go to our zoo that has an aviary, without there being any actual possibility for them to do so. And our keepers don't clean the habitats nearly enough, even when there are like 4-5 keepers for every habitat and our bisons get constantly sick because of that. The keepers just sit in a row on the benches next to the habitats😀 the staff room is big enough and the work zones are correct.

Edit: the keepers don't have any issue going into the habitats when they need to remove the sick animals to quarantine.

I'm not a gamer but I really like this game. It's just getting pretty hard to be motivated to do anything in it right now.

In Franchise mode on PC I was trying to use a pathing technique i saw in a YouTube video to create a custom path stamp and my path grid started floating several meters above the ground, is this a bug or did I accidentally screw up some setting? The path stamp I was using attached to the ground, the grid was floating above it.

Edit: It's a bug, duplicates many times by copying a stamp using the multi-select tool and using the duplicate and advanced move function with move snap on, it gets sick in move snap mode when I switch to regular path functions.

Has anyone else run into this bug? My other reserves are progressing fine, but the very first one I opened is just stuck at 0 stars and won't go up. I've released 7 species and have a 5 star research rating, so the overall rating should def be higher than 0. Will file a bug report, but in the meantime just curious if anyone else has had this issue and if there are any workarounds to get it to become unstuck

Hey all!

I cant seem to find any guides on this. I have some beavers, and they require a "2m deep navigatable water" area. They already have their deeper swimming area.

Problem is, I used a 2m high wall piece to try and match the height to get the water the right depth. The pond is all this depth except the sides (softened) so they can get in and out. It is still registering as 0 available.

I've made sure it is navigatable by the beavers using the heatmap. Even deepening the pond past 2m (3 or 4m) hasn't solved the issue.

got 500+ hours on planet zoo 1, but this is my first time ever actually adding a building to my habitat 😭 aside from that, struggling on what pathing looks best and how to make the plaza look less bare.

So I am experiencing this strange snapping problem where an object seems to always try to snap to a certain location while building for some reason, even though all the snapping toggles are off. There is no group either. I noticed it happens when I try to resize the object, its really impossible to build like this, any advice or anyone having the same issue?
