I'm reshelling my old dsi to gift to a friend and I'm not too where I went wrong for this to happen. I know I could probaly mess around and figure it out through trial and error, but this is my first time doing a reshell

modded my homies DS Lite

- snorlax shell swap(from retroboy)

- ips screen upgrades

- usb c mod

- dspico

- new battery

Difficult job but it was worth it. Honestly all the mods were easy compared to putting this back together. Honestly why did Nintendo design it like that, running the ribbon cable from the hinge sucked. anyways this was cool. Kinda makes me wanna get one for myself.

hello! i found an old dsi at the bottom of some drawers, and it works well! i'm very happy. but i'm a bit worried with those little white spots at the bottom. they look like paint scratches, but the round one on the first photo seems to have some volume/not on the surface of the console. could it be mold? i can't seem to remove them with my fingers... is it dangerous? thank you.

I was using my DSi as always and from one second to other everything started looking yellow for some reason

Tout a coup me vient une question : ne serait-ce pas dangereux autant de batteries chez moi ? Devrais-je garder tous mes appareils, mais jeter juste les batteries à la déchetterie 😭 ?

I took my DS, DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL to Mount St. Helens. I struggled to take these pic because the wind was SO strong 😭. At the very least, I got these two taken.

Weird question I know. Just got this DSIxl. Second picture is the one my brother had. I never had one so unsure if this screen is considered yellowed or not. It looks okay to me but I’m unsure how white it’s supposed to be because I heard all XLs have IPS screens. just asking those that have more experience with this system As I was reading about issues these things can have.

Bought a ds lite with a yellow top screen, left it at max brightness for almost an entire day and nothing changed about it, so i tried moving the screen and noticed when its "fully up" (idk how to say), the screen usually turns white then when i move it back it turns yellow again.

Is this an issue with the ribbon cable that connects the top screen or is it something else?

I downloaded Moonshell on my DS lite and I'm shocked as to how well it plays back my MP3 files. I'm not an audiophile at all but to my ears, it sounds no different from how my CDs or music streaming sound (when the DS is connected to an external pair of speakers.) The only thing I could knock it on is some trouble with bass, which I don't think I would have thought twice about if I was hearing the MP3 files without knowing the device that they were played on.

Could anyone give a simple/ELI5 explanation as to how this is even possible? My fascination is mostly because I associate the DS with a less advanced/arcade-y sound for music. Thanks!

I recently got my Nintendo DS Lite from an indoor flea market. Great price and it is in pink (the one I used to have when I was younger), now I am trying to find a R4 card on Amazon Belgium. So both are the same right? Just by the cheapest one? And which micro-sd card should I buy with it?

I currently own a New3dsxl but it’s way too big and expensive for me to want to bring it outside. I’ve been eyeing the dsi or dsi xl for sometime now because of the portability. I have smaller hands and carry light. I know the dsi xl has better screens but is it still worth to get a dsi just for size? Right now I can buy a dsi is good condition for around 50-60 dollars and a dsi xl for around 80 bucks.
