“I will vote for Tinubu. I want him to complete his tenure because we are suffering. This administration is a bad administration. Let us be sincere and factual: we are suffering. Since morning, some people have not even had a square meal. People are suffering. That is the basic truth.”

I do not have a credible source for this video, it seems more like AI slop. Regardless, I can't help but ponder as to why today's African leadership are not working towards a one united Africa. The west is still playing the divide and conquer game on Africans, the only way they can still operate their neo-colonialist machine in African soil, is to ensure a wedge amongst Africans.
I belief someone, some organizations are working towards this, we as Africans need to give it all the thrust it needs, to propel it beyond planning into execution. We cannot afford to waste time on this anymore.
It's either now or never.

I've shared SellSpace9ja here before, and I've been working on improving the website.
This time, I decided to show how it works instead of just explaining it.
The video walks through browsing items, starting a listing, entering item details, and adding photos and a condition video.
The idea is simple: help Nigerians sell furniture, electronics, appliances, and other household items when moving, upgrading, or decluttering.
Listing is free, and I'm still working on growing the marketplace.
I'd appreciate some feedback: What would make you comfortable enough to list an item on a new Nigerian marketplace?

With the Dangote Refinery IPO now on the table, I wanted to know whether ₦525 a share actually makes sense, so I did a valuation audit instead of going on hype.
My short answer: at ₦525, the price only works if this year's record refining margins last. Refining is a cyclical business, and margins swing a lot from year to year. When I normalised the margins to more typical levels and compared the refinery with several groups of listed refiners, every peer group I checked suggested it's expensive at that price. (Which has been the general sentiment going around)
That doesn't mean it's a bad company or a bad long-term story. The refinery could change Nigeria's fuel situation. But a great company and a great price aren't the same thing, and plenty of people will be buying because of the name, not the numbers.
Full write-up is in the URL above.
I'd really like Nigerians who follow the oil sector or the NGX to challenge this:
Am I being too pessimistic on margins, given the refinery's scale and the local market?
Are there advantages, like FX savings or avoiding import costs, that justify a premium over global peers?
Is anyone here planning to subscribe, and at what price would you feel comfortable?
For context, I work in investments in East Africa and write a free investing blog. This analysis sits in its "Playground" section for experiments, separate from the main course. It's education only, not investment advice. Do your own research before you put money in.

It's beginning to feel like this upcoming election is all about who thrown the most jabs. Yet to hear a single policy from any of them.

A few days ago, I posted here asking what would make Nigerians trust and support community projects. The responses raised some important concerns, particularly about how we can know that a project is genuine and that the promised work is actually being done.
Those are fair questions, and they've influenced how we're improving CASE.
I'm the director of CASE, a platform we're building to help community organisers raise support and document their projects transparently.
One of our priorities is accountability through visible milestones and progress updates.
Rather than asking people to support a project based on promises alone, organisers can break their projects into milestones, document their progress with evidence such as receipts, photos and videos, and record both financial and non-financial contributions. This gives supporters a record they can examine as the project progresses.
We've updated our website to explain this approach more clearly: https://www.casebeheard.com/
To be clear, documentation isn't the same as independent verification. CASE records the evidence organisers submit; we don't independently audit every project outcome. We believe it's important to be transparent about that limitation while working towards a system where project progress is easier to assess.
You don't have to donate immediately.
We'd encourage anyone interested in community projects to watch one that appeals to them first. For example, here's a project currently on CASE:
https://app.casebeheard.com/project/ace69cfd-d663-466f-93a2-ad9c95834159
You can follow the project and receive updates as its organisers document their progress. You can also follow an organiser to hear about future projects they create.
Our goal is to encourage support through demonstrated progress, not just promises. We want people to be able to observe a project's development, assess the evidence available, and decide for themselves whether and when they're comfortable contributing.
We're still an early-stage platform, and we have a lot to prove. We'd rather earn people's confidence over time than expect them to trust us simply because we say accountability matters.
For those who commented on the previous post, thank you. Your concerns helped us think more carefully about how we communicate this.
What specific updates or evidence would you want to see from a project before deciding to support it?

But if banks have the ability to reverse wrong transactions, why can't they just do it themselves? What's the point of putting all the responsibility on the receiver??

In Enugu, Ezeagu community precisely the Igwe (King) of the town convened a meeting only to ask him subjects to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Unfortunately for him his subjects were enraged and descended on him in great wroth/wrath (rage/anger). They pummeled him, beat him up and disgraced his royal highness.
It's wise not to support evil, it doesn't pay.

“Why are doctors leaving for overseas? We need them here. What can we do so they stay at home? It is deeply disappointing that, after taking the oath, people still choose not to serve here.” -Tinubu.
They're leaving sir, so that when you go to France and the UK for your medical check-up, they can serve you better, don't be daft!
