Pick-up / Haul / Mail Day Recent Amazon, Dell, eBay, Temu and VGP pick ups over the last couple months!
Got lucky with Metroid on Amazon before all the msrp copies sold out. Ordering from Amazon is always so stressful lol. Currently playing through the older games before I play Dread. Kirby and Pokopia I got for free from Dell with rewards. Told myself I’d only get GKC’s if I could get them for a good deal lol, second hand preferably. Found a CIB copy of Three Houses for a bit under current market price on eBay which I’m excited to play! Got Astral Chain from Temu of all places. Not the best discount I’ve seen from Temu, but half price is still pretty good! Already played through it and it was a lot of fun! Lastly, I picked up Nier and Collection of Mana during the Square Enix sale on VGP. I initially missed out on Collection of Mana, but they went back in stock for the sale so I was able to snag a copy. I’ve heard the switch port for Nier is pretty good and plays even better on switch 2! My backlog ever grows lol

Pick-up / Haul / Mail Day Sentimental Death Loop (#625)
My oldest kid recommended we get this game. We love our horror stuff. We also like animes. Soo...when they get mashed together...there's no doubt about picking it up. After Kugayama, this was a nice dessert to go with it.
STORY
An anime-styled survival horror adventure game. The narrative follows a high school student named Noa. While visiting her best friend Nemu to celebrate Noa's birthday, Nemu gifts her a black diary. However, Nemu suddenly snaps and violently murders Noa with a kitchen knife after Noa notices a mysterious photo in the room. Instead of dying permanently, Noa wakes up right back in Nemu’s bedroom at the start of the party. She is trapped in an "endless loop of despair" and must figure out why her best friend is trying to kill her.
GAMEPLAY
The game forces you through a strict chronological loop cycle to achieve its true ending. The loop resets to the exact moment right after Nemu hands Noa the black diary. You explore Nemu's house in an isometric 3/4 view. You must inspect the living room, kitchen, and bathroom to collect items like ropes, remote controls, or knives.
Nemu will periodically begin stalking you through the house. You have to use the items you found to set traps (like a rope trap by the dining table) or find places to hide (like the bathtub) to neutralize or evade her.
If Nemu catches you, Noa is brutally stabbed to death. However, each death imprints new memories and powers onto the black diary. You can then utilize the notebook to travel through time back to specific structural checkpoints.
Using information gathered from previous timelines, you unlock new sub-scenarios (e.g., saving other characters like Akane or disabling hidden gas traps) until you piece together the mystery and escape the cycle.
CONSENSUS SCORE
?/100 🤷♂️ (Critic Score)
?/100 🤷♂️ (User Score)
No official score has been achieved here lads...all we.fot is a steam score. 65% positive score. That's it. Not enough to give it an actual usual score. As a horror game fan, is give ya a super biased score. But...tbf. 65% sounds about right and in fact, very generous.
Interestingly enough...To unlock the game's actual "True Best Ending" and the final piece of character gallery art, you cannot just beat the main loop. The game structurally hides this conclusion behind a requirement to interact with completely optional, obscure furniture items 5+ times during specific safe-zones to trigger hidden Side Stories.
How the hell were we supposed to figure that out? If it were not for us being super curious and bored, we'd never find that out. Nice horror game on the switch that serves as a once over but doesn't stand out as a memorable title. Nice import pick-up.

Discussion Anyone here reserve a Warp Pipe Pass to purchase the Zelda consoles + accessories? (SF+NY)
Just curious if anyone got one! Or if they can share their experience with past in-store releases such as this one.
I chose my reservation for the tail-end, 2:00PM-4:59PM. They did sale “while supplies last” but I’m curious if I can get away with showing up at 4:30PM and still being able to make a purchase.
If anyone has been to a similar release, any opinions would appreciated. Thanks!

Question Mario Party Superstars cartridge letters for 1.1.1?
Does anyone have the latest version of Mario Party Superstars on cart? If so, what does the lettering on the back of your cartridge show?
