Rec.Me: theme/mood/other specifics Mother-son song
I’m looking for a song that captures my younger son and I’s relationship. He truly is a ball of sunshine and is attached at my hip. He’s brave, adventurous, energetic, kind, and goofy! There have been times where I’m sick and he’s tried to “take care of me” by rubbing my back and handing me water to drink. Him and I are truly two peas in a pod (including his older brother of course but this is about the younger one right now lol). I love different genres of music and my older son and I’s song is “Just the Two of Us” by Grover Washington if that helps. I have been searching for a song for the longest so I’d appreciate any recommendations :)

Rec.Me: alt/indie/obscure Music for gazing wistfully out the window at a gray autumn sky
While gripping a coffee mug with both hands and wearing a turtleneck sweater, mentally cataloging your regrets. Got a bunch of Bon Iver, Sufjan, Fleet foxes etc. on the playlist obviously, looking for little known, obscure artists with similar vibes

Rec.Me: alt/indie/obscure Country recommendations needed
I’ve been building this country playlist for a while, but it’s slowly turned into a Zach Bryan fan page lol. It’s got a lot of Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers, Wyatt Flores, Evan Honer, and Flatland Cavalry. Looking for some new artists or songs that fit this vibe. Any recommendations?

Rec.Me: theme/mood/other specifics Depressing songs? Something like Give up linkin park. Something in the way nirvana
Idk guess im in a mood. Like it says depressing or down in the dumps kinda songs. More into rock metal punk but ill take anything. Listening to deftoons alice in chains lately. But something like give up by linkin park would be cool make me feel what Chester did! 30 sec screem yes please.
Also big nirvana fan and always like something in the way something slow and idk love the way Kurt almost like drags the worlds as he sings them.
Or maybe even a evanescence going under type song.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Bands or songs.
Edit: holy thank you everyone! I think im ganna put all these songs im a Playlist and just let it play. 🤟

Rec.Me: rock/metal/punk Ghost themed playlist
Hi all, putting a ghost themed playlist together. Not a Halloween playlist per se. Doesn’t have to be a literal, more about the isolating feeling of not being seen, not belonging of this realm. Leaning indie/showgaze. This is what I have so far.

Rec.Me: other/many/unknown genres People are always saying how Sam Fender sounds 80s or how he sounds like Springsteen, so I’m looking for those recommendations but also like his lyrics
As the title says. I adore Sam’s sound but I also love his lyrics as someone who grew up working class in Northern England.
I’d love to know what songs from the 80s or even Springsteen songs people would recommend.
I really enjoy country music, especially 70s and 80s, stuff like Johnny Cash, The Highwaymen. I also enjoy 50s and 60s like Frankie Valli. So I’m easy when it comes to how old something is. It’s just so rare to hear something I relate to. The again, it doesn’t have to relate to my own experiences, I love music that has meaning to it and it has that feeling.

Would be especially good if it describes that feeling of sabotaging a relationship or leaving first before they can do it to you.
