Hello all. One of my coworkers downsized and gave me a bunch of free tools. This LeatherMan was in a box with a bunch of miscellaneous items. I don’t have any idea how old it is but the leather sheat is a nice extra.

Looking at picking up a MP600 but I use the bit driver on my current tool weekly so kind of need it. Apart from the rare Gerber bit adapter kit. Are there any other options to fit over the flathead or Philips bit?? Available in UK
As if not Roxon Flex may have to be my choice as I need it bladeless.

My only EDC was the Victorinox Classic SD. I'm loving the new small Nextool models but currently leaning towards the flagship F12 the most. It seems like it has a locking knife. Can I carry it here without a risk? If not, can I disable the locking mechanism without unscrewing the knife?
If I can't do any, then I think sailor S11 Pro is almost just as great and would be my option. Any would be a huge improvement over that Victorinox, I just want a more versatile one.
P.S. It should've been F12 in the title.

TLDR:
I'm looking for a small multi-tool that potentially has a narrow spotted screwdriver AND non-marring Jewelry pliers. I will settle for Non marring pliers without the screwdriver if I have to.
I'm a music teacher and have dedicated tools in my classroom and in my backpack for big jobs and things that require me to sit down and fix. Most of the time, I have a SOG Powerpint that I use to make quick fixes. However, I have covers on the pliers or need to grab a rag to make sure I don't damage the instrument. The screwdrivers on the PowerPint suffice for 90% of what I have to do daily.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope some of you can point me in a direction...or tell me this is a pipe dream 😂.

I recently have been using a multi tool I purchased on Amazon for about $20. I never thought I would need one but work has been asking more of me lately and I get thrown into things when I normally didn’t have tools on me. So I bought one to save me the time of having to go into the workshop to get my tools and then head back to fix something that doesn’t take too long at all to do. I’m in building maintenance. So mainly repairing door handles and things as such. I’ll attach what I’m currently using to see if anyone could recommend the next best option for me. The problem is with the cheap one comes cheap steel. I’ve broken parts of it simply by trying to turn a screw or such. The main thing I’m looking for is one with a bit driver and bit options. That’s what made me finally buy one and the part I use the most. But I’m not sure I want to get a pocket screw driver and use a multi tool for jobs when needed. Just figured I’d ask.

I was handed this by a delivery driver probably 15 years ago when I was like 10 years old. Just looking to identify it and see if anyone else has seen one. There is no branding or labeling anywhere aside from the UPS logo.

Today, I had to do an emergency component swap on an AD board and a power supply. Since it's for discontinued legacy equipment, there was no other way. There weren't any proper tools around where I was, so I had to pull out my EDC.
The connectors were extremely fragile and wouldn't budge with just my fingernails. I barely managed to pull them out using the pliers on my Leatherman Super Tool 300—otherwise, I would've snapped a wire for sure. As for the ribbon cables, the flathead screwdriver on my Victorinox Camper (91mm) came in clutch. For prying and lifting things delicately, that thing is unbeatable. Meanwhile, my Gerber Dual Force was an absolute lifesaver for all the screws.

My EDC is a Nextool F12, in silver. I love that little thing, and the S11 Pro is a close second. I saw that Amazon had the "Khaki" version of the F12, which has black oxide tools. It looks really great.
When I got it, I noticed that the file didn't look like it had much roughness to it, and I could barely see any edges, in either the crosscut or single-cut sides. They looked almost smooth. I tried a few things and it did not file anything. My theory was that the coating they used was too thick and clogging up the ridges.
I soaked the file in Evapo-Rust, just the file section. Then took it to the sink and scrubbed out the black oxide with a brass brush, and repeated the process. After removing all the black oxide from the file, it works fine, at least on par with my silver one. The F12 doesn't have the greatest file anyway, but at least now it works.
Has anyone else ever removed the black oxide from a multitool file, for the same reason? It certainly worked for me.

I took apart a small bibury a few months ago and it sent me down a rabbit hole before I broke it and am now looking at more mod ideas for my bibury g10.
- I took out the saw and replaced it woth a t shank holder (got the spare part from the larger 2045, it did require some grinding to open more smoothly on the thinner frame but does lock!)
- moved the microdriver and awl to the outside, micro with the t shank and awl opposite the main blade
- added a keyring and clip from a Flissa 16-1 tool plus some paracord.
- added one of Kristen Van Patten's scribe tools (etsy)
- will be adding Jovtok sak parts into the remaining two spacers once they arrive (etsy)
I have open slots on the can opener/file side, and am likely adding an armbar driver to the outside to allow it to hold another double sided bit passively and quicker access. Love to hear any other ideas! I haven't found a hammer mod that will fit, and may see if I can fit the armbar bottle opener as the can opener often cuts into bottle caps before it pulls them off

I picked up this pioneer and alox slim, its neutered Japan legal cousin for 50 usd total. I love the gold on the slim. These are my first alox victorinox, I’m impressed by the build quality.

Minichamp Titanium and Alox
The 10mm split ring seemed to get in the way a little when I tried to pull out the Phillips screwdriver, so I removed it and ordered some smaller 5mm split rings.
Alternatively, I’m thinking about attaching a cord directly through that tiny hole without using a split ring at all.
I’m not sure what would work best, so I’d appreciate any recommendations!
