Looks like Legendary is already planning/working on more films after Supernova! Seems like they have faith Supernova will do good enough to warrant a sequel.

Hopefully with them planning ahead, it leads to better and more consistent world building than the last movie. (Supernova rumours suggest it will 👀)

I watched both KOTM and GxK today noticed how in KOTM gman was calm and cautious in his approach, in both GvK and GxK he was straight up going in a fight with any thing he saw, I thought to myself why? I think its Mothra, once he lost her he must have felt it personal as said in KOTM they were close, by losing someone you lose yourself , since mothra`s back in TNE , and the leaks of Supernova say Gman is not the rage machine but his calmer approach like KOTM , I think this fits the answer

Finished this last week. Im very very excited for the movie. Enjoy.

If Destoroyah becomes a villain, I hope he doesn't die in his first debut, but rather returns again in a future film. Monsterverse villains rarely return after their debut's.

Seems like in the last year, the Monsterverse has fully kicked off.

And if possible maybe a Mothra spin-off. I feel she's rather popular enough especially now to warrant a film herself. And Godzilla is more popular then he ever has and isn't like what it was back in 2019. Godzilla is more popular then he ever was and I think another solo film would do better this time around unlike KotM.

Because lets face the facts. At one point audiences will eventually get fatigued by continous Godzilla x Kong films for the same reason people have with Fast/Furious and Bayformers and to an extent the MCU as seen with bombs or disappointments like Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

You can't tell me with a straight face they do 10 more Godzilla x Kong films and audiences still would not be fatigued which is what led to fatigue of Bayformers and Fast/Furious and MCU to an extent because it wouldn't change its formula?

That said, we'll see where this goes if Supernova even does well.

Edit: Another thing too is having different tones. Another reason folks got fatigued by the three is due to not changing their formuliac tones. If they keep it as Adam Wingard style writing, audiences will get tired quickly.

Do you think he'll lose it in the movie or is it just not in the toy? Damn, I'd love to see Kong rebuild an Advia after the first one broke.

She caused an ice age? Then if she has other members then why didnt they cause a ice age?

Kong BIG Strong scrappy Ape. Let him be BIG Strong scrappy ape.

Love these movies. I'd like the Foundational Kaiju of the genre to be more Unleashed Beast than Beast -with a brand new weapon He Was kinda just Given.

I'm going with Showa, not just because he won but because he was way more impactful.

Before the lightning strikes he tackled Godzilla to the ground and beat him down and generally was doing good, Godzilla got the upper hand after but Kong kinda did it to himself by rolling into a boulder head first. Then after absorbing electricity he was giving Godzilla the works. Swinging him by the tail, getting on top of him and beating him down, flipping him, putting him on his ass with a shoulder tackle. He was pretty on top.

Monsterverse Kong had instances of dominating his Godzilla in close range but they didn't have the same ooomph behind them. It felt like he was holding his own or at most had the upper hand, with Showa Kong and Showa Godzilla it looked like Kong was either straight up winning or at least even.

This image has been created on imgflip which was a template of live reaction with the screenshot of Kong with big eyeballs and that screenshot belongs to 4ibn video title Godzilla x Kong the new empire but... Sfm with the audio belongs to the stinkybluerat gadzooky x konky donk the new monke parody of gxk the new empire for the video from 2024

IN MY OPINION this is the ugliest design in the entire MonsterVerse alongside a certain other titan that we'll get to later. That Megatron face of hers is just so stupid and uncanny in an obviously unintentional way.

Conceptually she's a neat idea but both her design and her powers are so LAAAME. Camazotz did the sonic screech better anyway because he's yknow A BAT.

It rlly doesn't help that the artstyles of Aftershock and Dominion look like vomit on a page but genuinely I think this might be my least favorite design in the entire MV.

but what do yall think idk im glad i got that off my chest

Monsterverse Destoroyah, unlike his original counterpart, has very few if any sci fi elements related to the oxygen destroyer

This Destoroyah is a single organism Titan, unlike the multi-organism original

this Destoroyah has not a personal connection with Godzilla, but is an overarching threat to all of existence

He resides in the core of Hollow Earth and stands as the strongest Titan in history, but is not an immediate danger 24/7

Destoryah sits at the dimensional center, which is very akin to Hell

Destoroyah is essentially the "Titans prove Mythology is Real" equivalent of the Devil like how Japan has a Yamato No Orochi and Tiamat fills the role of various Sea Serpents throughout history

Destoroyah only surfaces in certain circumstances

Especially when great sin, crimes against the nature of existence have been committed

such as, the existence of a Mechagodzilla piloted by the spiritual energies of a fallen member of Godzilla's species

Godzilla 3, if not a G vs MG film, would feature Kiryu and also Destoroyah's first appearance.

Built off the bones of another Godzilla, possibly Dagon (taking him out of copyright hell since Dagon would be converted into an incarnation of Kiryu)

Godzilla and Kiryu initially clash, but they make peace and unite against a greater threat

Destoroyah is NOT the threat they unite against

Dest arrives AFTER they defeat the threat or stop fighting

The Devil arrives to essentially drag Kiryu to Hell since his existence breaks the laws of nature.

They desperately try to fight him off but are easily defeated.

Kiryu gives his life to shove Godzilla out of Destoroyah's way and is impaled by his tail. Before Destoroyah brings the destroyed Kiryu with him back down the hole he emerged from. This is the last seen of him in the movie and he WILL return in the future.

Heavily inspired by the finale of Primal Season 2 where a demon comes to claim Spear's life and easily overpowers both him and Fang.

Why is this Destoroyah much more fantasy and religion oriented?

Because this element of his character always existed to a degree

Destoroyah in Godzilla vs Destoroyah was simultaneously a mutant monster born from the Oxygen Destroyer and the Devil taking form to test Godzilla's spirit and judge whether he goes to Heaven or Hell.

Through a converting of a very Godzilla specific villain thematically to a deity figure able to punish all characters for their sins, I believe this type of Destoroyah works better for the Godzilla x Kong Monsterverse where both may face him in the future.

Another inspiration was Death from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Like him, Destoroyah stands as a nigh unstoppable godlike figure to represent and enforce the laws of the universe.

Here a thought. During the Heisei era. In 'Godzilla versus MechaGodzilla II' Godzilla Junior was found and briefly raised by humans. He was last seen reaching adulthood at the end of 'Godzilla Versus Destroyah' in 1995. In the Legendary series, that version of Godzilla seems to be more friendlier to humans, or at least not nearly as hateful. So my inevitable question is: Can the Legendary version of Godzilla actually be Godzilla Junior grownup?

I know people were disappointed that GxK went on for 2 hours, even I was disappointed because you’re just making everything too fast. I wonder how long GxK supernova is gonna be, but we haven’t heard yet
