Beta Test KIN: The Beyond* Expands With New Biomes as Public Beta Launches on Google Play

Post image
1 Upvotes

Players are already calling it "an Xulo Kin" as the world of KIN continues to evolve.**

Independent developer, David Ogba Onuoha II, has announced a major update for KIN: The Beyond, introducing two brand new explorable biomes and expanding the mysterious systems hidden throughout its growing world. The game is now openly available as a public beta on the Google Play Store, allowing players to experience the journey firsthand while development continues.

The latest update adds:

- The Desert Biome: A vast environment of shifting sands, heat-swept landscapes, and new areas waiting to be uncovered.

- The Snowy Valley: A cold and atmospheric region featuring icy terrain and a dramatically different environment from the rest of the world.

Beyond its new locations, KIN: The Beyond continues to gain depth through a collection of hidden mechanics and discoveries designed to reward exploration. While many of these systems remain intentionally mysterious, additional features and gameplay layers are actively being expanded in future updates.

Since its earliest testing phases, players have affectionately begun referring to the experience as "an Xulo Kin", a nickname that has grown within the community as the game develops its own identity.

> "KIN: The Beyond is designed around discovery. Every update expands not only the world itself, but also the systems players can uncover through exploration and experimentation."

The public beta launch marks a significant milestone for the project, opening the experience to a wider audience while enabling direct community feedback to help shape future releases.

Development remains active, with additional content, mechanics, environments, and surprises planned for upcoming updates.

About KIN: The Beyond

KIN: The Beyond is an evolving exploration-focused adventure that encourages players to uncover secrets, traverse unique environments, and discover mechanics hidden throughout its world. Built as an ongoing project, the game continues to expand through regular updates and community feedback.

Game Dev Feedback wanted: a Splendor-style engine builder with loans, compounding debt and a player-driven market

I've been building Element Empire, a turn-based strategy game for mobile. The core is a Splendor-like engine builder, but with an economy layered on top with changing prices according to supply and demand. The video shows one turn:

  • Buy minerals: every purchase pushes the market price up, so players move the market for each other.
  • Build: minerals and cash go into businesses that pay you every round.
  • Borrow: you need loans to get your engine going, but debt compounds 10% every round, so timing your repayment is the central decision.
  • Short the market: crash the price of a mineral your opponent depends on.
  • Win: reach $1B net worth with zero debt. Late game shifts from building to playing the market.

Matches are async against friends or random opponents, so you take your turn whenever you have a minute. Ads can be removed with a 30-day pass, a one-time purchase that doesn’t auto-renew. The rest is cosmetics. No pay-to-win.

Two questions for mobile strategy players:

  1. Does a debt/market layer make an engine builder more interesting, or just more complicated?
  2. Async or real-time: which do you prefer for strategy on your phone?

News Dragons World Revival - help needed

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello, a community of people on discord has joined together to try and revive Dragons World, we are already halfway done reviving it!

We are looking for people who have an old device (Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows) that has Dragons World still downloaded it, if you do, please reach out to us on our discord server that can be found on "Dragons World Wiki - Fandom" website.

having an old version of the game intact on a device will help us greatly as it holds assets and files that we need to finish restoring of the game, and would speed up the project a lot. If you just want to receive updates and be apart of the Revive Old Games community, you should still join the discord. Thank you!

Discussion would you rather drag a small country up the european ranking, or start where the money already is?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, i'm making a football manager for android since february, it's called Trainer's Boardroom and it runs fully offline.

this weekend update 1.5 came out and the five year ranking is alive now. what the clubs of a country do in the european cups earns the country points, and that decides how many european places its league gets. so if you go far in europe with some small club, your whole country can climb. in a test season gibraltar went from 49th to 47th and got a 4th european spot, that's the picture

i didn't want it to be magic money though. belgium went up a lot in the real uefa ranking and their stadiums didn't get any fuller, tv money comes from the size of the market. so in my game the money only follows a bit, you mostly earn it through europe itself and better players.

so how would you play it, small club and pull the country up, or a big club in a top league?

Questions I think I reached the highest level in Sand Balls (Level 5969

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve been playing Sand Balls for a long time and just hit Level 5969.

I checked online and most community posts and guides seem to stop around level 1,500 to 2,500. Has anyone actually made it this far or gone higher, or do I officially hold the world record?

Let me know what level you are on!

Following the Aralon: Sword and Shadows, here's the Patched version of its 2nd Entry.

*Big Shout-out and Thanks to u/desmutado024 for his help.

Also this is only the apk, you have to download and put the obb files in the obb folders yourself. (Must be v3.0)

Link in the comments

And thank you...

(Please don't request any 32 bit only game. I am working on them one by one cause it's very time taking project.)

A rhythm/music game. Where you roleplay as a manager/producer of a idol group. It also had a gacha system in the game. I faintly remember it having different planets or worlds UI as levels. I think it had a yellow icon at that time. Help me find this game.🙏🏼

New Release Maze Warden TD: our last two updates were mostly things players asked for

Maze Warden TD is a tower defense with no set path. You put the walls down, enemies walk whatever route you leave them, and your towers line it. You can't seal it off, so the game is making that route as long as you can.

What changed:

Leave mid-round. Continue on Home picks up at the start of that wave.

Bombard at level 3. The splash cannon used to wait until level 24.

Aim your powers. Hold one to see where it lands, then let go.

Curved roads. The path bends smoothly now, no more square corners.

300 levels across 15 worlds. Free with ads, needs a connection.

iOS | Android

What should we add next?

Game Dev First 32 bit game running on Arm64, and 16. (WIP)

I am really excited to tell you people that, i finally succeeded in playing a 32 bit only game, On arm64 latest mobile versions. Without VMOS.

It actually works on a translation layer, which translates the 32 bit codes to 64 bit codes.

The game runs on a launcher (a Fork of Zettabridge) specially made for this game.

This is Frontline Commando: D Day. The game is playable on low fps, as you can see just need to do some optimizations and finishing.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The AI is used for crash log details, and suggesting fixes for various errors. Its all about saving time. And upon that all the things are done on this very phone. (I've got no PC rn)

All the testing, debugging and compiling. On a single device.

The games is in testing and Optimizing phase.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION

will be updating you soon.

P.S. Also can someone give me a good advice on how can I improve the performance, and if anyone have experience in these things. Any help is appreciated.

Discussion Who Was It - a daily game to reconnect with your friends

I'm a full-stack web dev and I've been having a lot of fun building apps using LLMs (I know everybody is not unanimous but I do enjoy myself), and I am pretty happy with my last curent project.

The idea came from playing askUs with my friends. I loved the idea of having a game that's mostly an excuse for a group to talk to each other every day.

Every day one person in the group gets a secret question. The next day their answer shows up without a name, everyone votes on who wrote it, and the chat unlocks once you've voted. If they forget to answer, someone else can steal their spot.

It's free, runs as a web app (Android App in beta, planning on iOS if it works), in English and French.

I'm looking for around for peoples to test with their friends and give me feeedback on the game.

Here is a link to the website : https://who-was-it.app/?lang=en&utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=sideproject
