Just wanted to share this Herobrine boss fight from Annoying Villagers, a mod made by pla_is_me.
The Herobrine Boss in this mod is genuinely impressive, and I feel like it deserves way more attention.
Has anyone else tried it ? Why this mod having too little attention ?

I replaced the entirety of Minecraft vanilla's lighting for my own using a technique I developed called LUMINA which stands for Lightfield Unified Multiscale Irradiance Network Atlas (Yes its a long name but it sounded cool...).
It improves vanilla's lighting with a spatial, colored, dynamically-updated irradiance field.
Why? Vanilla's lightmap is a 16×16 table indexed by block and sky lighting. It's 2D, so it *cannot* carry RGB values and the same light level always maps to the same tint which is like a yellowish piss cream tone. It's also fully static, it always needs to relight entire regions whenever you move lighting.
So the replacement was a volumetric field of RGB samples, divided into 8×4×8 world sections around the player, packed into a ring atlas. The atlas is a ring indexed by world section, so moving the box re-bakes only the sections that actually changed instead of all.
This achieves amazing performance with a good looking vanilla result (Because basically we're using voxels for lighting). If you don't like the shadows though, you can disable and just enjoy the colored lighting.
The cost per frame is 100% from the GPU and is blazingly fast, in fact I don't even believe it ran so well.
Again, these are not shaders, at least in the sense of Minecraft shaders (They're still technically GPU compute shaders), and I'm developing this for my mod Organellium, a huge performance and visual improvement mod. Picture Sodium with stereoids and worldgen performance.

I've been working on this mod for around three and a half weeks and it just got denied by Modrinth. There's probably nothing that I can do to change that but I figured I'd still post it here for anyone who wants to try it out. This mod was made using AI for coding, however it is not a one shot slop project. Ive been iterating for multiple weeks in order to make sure that the mod feels exactly how I want it to feel, and also so that it is free of any bugs. It's also very well optimized. MORE VIDEOS OF THE MOD IN THE MODRINTH PAGE DESCRIPTION, IM REALLY BAD AT REDDIT SO IDK HOW TO PUT MORE HERE...
The mod costs:

Hey!
I'm planning to get back into Minecraft modding, this time for Minecraft 26.3 on Fabric, but I'm still trying to figure out what I should actually make.
I don't really want to start working on a random idea just because it sounds cool. I'd rather make something that people would actually want to use, whether it's a small mod that fixes an annoying issue or something much bigger that adds new mechanics and gives players more things to do.
So I figured I'd ask here.
Is there anything you've wanted a Minecraft mod to do, but haven't found a good mod for yet? Maybe there's a vanilla mechanic that bothers you, a feature you think Minecraft is missing, or something that other mods have tried to implement but never quite got right.
And it doesn't necessarily have to be an improvement to something that already exists. I'm also interested in bigger ideas: new gameplay mechanics, complex systems, or mods that could offer a whole new experience. If there's a good reason to make something ambitious, I'm not against taking on a larger project.
Some examples of the kinds of things I'm talking about:
These are just examples, though. I'm not trying to limit the suggestions to any particular category.
One thing I'd ask is that, if you have an idea, please explain it a bit instead of just dropping a name or a one-line suggestion. What would the mod actually do? Why would you want to use it? And if similar mods already exist, what do you think they get wrong or what would you like to see done differently?
You don't need to write an entire design document, obviously. I'm just interested in understanding the idea and the reason behind it.
I haven't decided on anything yet, so I can't promise I'll make a particular suggestion. I'll need to look into existing mods and see what's already out there before choosing a direction.
Anyway, I'd love to hear what you think. What kind of mod do you feel Minecraft is missing, or what would you personally like to see someone make?

Hello people of Reddit,
I'm trying to find a mod that would work like [/tick rate] but only within a given enclosed area rather than the entire world.
Ideally it would affect everything (just like the original command does).
This would be for version 1.21.4.
Any help is appreciated!

One block off can throw a long bridge or support line out of alignment. PillarPlan previews evenly spaced support positions as outlines; every block is still placed manually.
Modrinth: https://modrinth.com/mod/pillarplan-even-spacing-guide
CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/pillarplan-even-spacing-guide
Minecraft Java 1.21.11 · Fabric + Fabric API · Java 21 · client-side · PillarPlan 0.2.1. Straight sections follow X/Z; curves are block-grid approximations. Plans reset when leaving the world.
Disclosure: PillarPlan is my mod (SuffixHD). Footage is genuine Minecraft gameplay. The background music is an original synthesized track made with AI-assisted code; no third-party samples.
If you build with spacing guides, what would make this more useful?

Hey everyone! I'm the developer of WE Assist, a Minecraft Fabric mod I've been developing on to make building with WorldEdit more convenient.
I wanted to make common WorldEdit operations easier to access without constantly typing commands in chat.
Here's what it currently does:
//set, //replace, //walls, //stack, //move and //smooth, with block selection and an in-world preview.WE Assist is client-side and doesn't need to be installed on the server. WorldEdit is still required, and Litematica is optional for the paste hologram. The mod draws its own selection box, so WorldEditCUI isn't required.
It supports Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21–1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.8 and 1.21.11, with Fabric Loader, Fabric API and MaLiLib required.
The project is still evolving, and I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from people who use WorldEdit regularly.
