Why is nobody talking about this Herobrine mod?

Just wanted to share this Herobrine boss fight from Annoying Villagers, a mod made by pla_is_me.

The Herobrine Boss in this mod is genuinely impressive, and I feel like it deserves way more attention.

Has anyone else tried it ? Why this mod having too little attention ?

I'm getting back into Minecraft modding. What would you like to see?

Hey!

I'm planning to get back into Minecraft modding, this time for Minecraft 26.3 on Fabric, but I'm still trying to figure out what I should actually make.

I don't really want to start working on a random idea just because it sounds cool. I'd rather make something that people would actually want to use, whether it's a small mod that fixes an annoying issue or something much bigger that adds new mechanics and gives players more things to do.

So I figured I'd ask here.

Is there anything you've wanted a Minecraft mod to do, but haven't found a good mod for yet? Maybe there's a vanilla mechanic that bothers you, a feature you think Minecraft is missing, or something that other mods have tried to implement but never quite got right.

And it doesn't necessarily have to be an improvement to something that already exists. I'm also interested in bigger ideas: new gameplay mechanics, complex systems, or mods that could offer a whole new experience. If there's a good reason to make something ambitious, I'm not against taking on a larger project.

Some examples of the kinds of things I'm talking about:

  • Quality of life: Little things that make the game less frustrating or more convenient to play.
  • Vanilla improvements: Reworking existing mechanics that feel underdeveloped, repetitive, or just not very fun.
  • New features: Things you wish were part of the base game, or mechanics you think would fit Minecraft really well.
  • Expansions to existing gameplay: More depth for exploration, combat, survival, building, automation, or whatever else interests you.
  • Larger projects: New systems, interconnected mechanics, or something that could significantly change how you play the game.

These are just examples, though. I'm not trying to limit the suggestions to any particular category.

One thing I'd ask is that, if you have an idea, please explain it a bit instead of just dropping a name or a one-line suggestion. What would the mod actually do? Why would you want to use it? And if similar mods already exist, what do you think they get wrong or what would you like to see done differently?

You don't need to write an entire design document, obviously. I'm just interested in understanding the idea and the reason behind it.

I haven't decided on anything yet, so I can't promise I'll make a particular suggestion. I'll need to look into existing mods and see what's already out there before choosing a direction.

Anyway, I'd love to hear what you think. What kind of mod do you feel Minecraft is missing, or what would you personally like to see someone make?

Is there a simple, good squadron mod?

Essentially a mod where I can have a few soldiers, just a few that follow me around, that I can give some simple commands to like "follow, stand guard, attack"

Maybe armed villagers

Maybe hired pillagers or something else

Essentially the simplest mod I can get for this, no extra features.

Horsing Around (Horse Riding Rework)

I've been working on this mod for around three and a half weeks and it just got denied by Modrinth. There's probably nothing that I can do to change that but I figured I'd still post it here for anyone who wants to try it out. This mod was made using AI for coding, however it is not a one shot slop project. Ive been iterating for multiple weeks in order to make sure that the mod feels exactly how I want it to feel, and also so that it is free of any bugs. It's also very well optimized. MORE VIDEOS OF THE MOD IN THE MODRINTH PAGE DESCRIPTION, IM REALLY BAD AT REDDIT SO IDK HOW TO PUT MORE HERE...

The mod costs:

  • Client: about 70 µs per frame, roughly 0.6% of one CPU core
  • Server: about 7 µs per tick, 0.1–0.3% of the server thread
  • Memory: about 1% of the client’s, nothing on the server

Looking for help with an AI assistant mod

Hey everyone! I could use some advice from experienced mod developers.

I'm developing a Minecraft mod called ECHO, an AI companion that interacts with the player and the game. The core mod is already in development, and I'm working on improving it while exploring the possibility of a future online mode.

The planned online features are relatively limited: private invitations, friends-only world hosting, and interactions between ECHO companions. However, I haven't established a secure, complete online implementation yet. I'm trying to figure out the right architecture before committing to building it.

Here's my situation: I'm not a programmer myself. I'm using AI to write the code, while I handle planning, testing, troubleshooting, reviewing, and learning how everything works. I understand what much of the code does, but I can't independently read and write Java fluently yet.

I'm doing my best to verify everything, but online networking introduces security and privacy challenges that are difficult to assess without deeper technical experience.

I'd really appreciate advice on:

  • What's the safest approach to online multiplayer for a solo developer in my position?
  • Which parts shouldn't I rely on AI to implement without experienced human review?
  • What tools and testing methods can help me verify the code?
  • How can I find trustworthy developers willing to review or contribute to a free, community-driven project?

I'm not expecting anyone to build the entire thing for me. I want to understand the risks, make informed decisions, and avoid putting players at risk.

Any advice or personal experience would mean a lot. Thank you!

Looking for playtesters, artists, modelers, and sound designers for my mods!

Hey everyone, I’m part of a modding team that is trying to create fun and hopefully well put together NON BUGGY mods. We only have 2 playtesters currently, we need playtesters the most right now, so if anyone wants to be a playtester that’d be greatly appreciated.

I made a preview tool for evenly spaced Minecraft pillars (PillarPlan)

One block off can throw a long bridge or support line out of alignment. PillarPlan previews evenly spaced support positions as outlines; every block is still placed manually.

Modrinth: https://modrinth.com/mod/pillarplan-even-spacing-guide

CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/pillarplan-even-spacing-guide

Minecraft Java 1.21.11 · Fabric + Fabric API · Java 21 · client-side · PillarPlan 0.2.1. Straight sections follow X/Z; curves are block-grid approximations. Plans reset when leaving the world.

Disclosure: PillarPlan is my mod (SuffixHD). Footage is genuine Minecraft gameplay. The background music is an original synthesized track made with AI-assisted code; no third-party samples.

If you build with spacing guides, what would make this more useful?
