I currently live out of state and am looking for places to rent, due to my work job relocating me to Miami. Brickell looks like the nicest place to me tbh everything is in walking distance and it seems really safe. All of my coworkers and friends say Brickell has become the town square of ratchetness and trashiness, she says that there are trolls, streamers, and clout chasers filming doing antics all the time and acting obnoxious. People revving engines and being annoying with their cars etc. I want to know the real real because it does seem to look upscale alot of the buildings are so nice and its next to city center. Do you guys feel like Brickell is fine to live in?

If you are like me and quit going when they started charging admission- you can check it out for free for the next couple years. Rock* sponsored locals getting free passes as part of the GTA6 hype.

... you have bad karma coming your way.
Found in North Miami. Animal Services has picked him up and he should be listed for adoption very soon. If you're looking to adopt an adult dog please consider this cutie!! He's very sweet and seems to know a few commands.

Does anybody want to see the wicker movie next week? I know it's a weekday, but preferably I would like to go in the daytime while my son is at school, and I would like it if they were a woman or a gay guy. I hear there's going to be full frontal dong, and I want to see it. I don't care if it's wood; I want to see it. So if there is someone who's open-minded and who loves watching and talking about freaky shit, but on a platonic level like that, and wants to see it next week. Please let me know.
I want to see how much wood that wicker is wielding.

We legit just found it last night. Itās still very dirty. It was found in the undercarriage of a car. Weāre going to petsmart to get some shampoo for kittens and kitten food. We already have a senior cat who doesnāt really play well with other cats, plus our place is small. The kitten is very affectionate once held in your arms, but skittish and tryās to hide. If anyone would like to adopt her/him, shoot me a DM

Florida voters will decide Nov. 3 if state Supreme Court Justice Carlos MuƱiz should serve for another six years on the highest court in the state.
They should say no.
Retention elections for Florida Supreme Court justices have mostly been considered pro forma ā no justice has ever been ousted under this decades-old system ā but now is the time to change that.
MuƱiz, 57, was appointed to the bench by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2019, though he had no previous judicial experience, and retained by voters in 2020. During his previous retention vote, the Editorial Board worried that his chief qualifications for the job were his political connections ā we said he was former Attorney General Pam Bondiās āhatchet manā ā and that his politics would drive his decisions.
And that is what appears to have happened.
The state Supreme Courtās decisions should be apolitical, to give all Floridians confidence that they will get a fair shake in the highest court in the state. But when it came to voting on the redistricted map for Congress this year, after a rushed, two-day special session called by Gov. Ron DeSantis early this year, MuƱiz and five other justices leaped to help DeSantis.
The state Legislature had already abdicated its own responsibilities and rubber-stamped the governorās plan for an out-of-cycle redistricting to favor congressional Republicans, who already held 20 of the stateās 28 U.S. House districts. The Supreme Court should have been the place where that sort of nonsense stops, and voters can actually be heard.
Instead, six of the seven justices ā the six are DeSantis appointees ā voted to leave a citizensā challenge to the gerrymandered districts to a lower court, knowing that the case wouldnāt be heard in time for the election.
Justice Jorge Labarga, the only liberal on the court, dissented in the 6-1 decision, saying the court could have asserted jurisdiction and could have made a ruling on the case.
Florida voters have already spoken clearly on this issue. The Fair Districts Amendment they approved in 2010 by 62% of the vote was supposed to prohibit drawing districts to favor or disfavor political parties. But the state Supreme Court ignored all of that.
MuƱiz also was in the majority in 2024 when the court abandoned the idea that the privacy provision in the Florida constitution guaranteed the right to an abortion. He was among the justices who decided to stop reviewing death sentences for comparative fairness. He voted to repeal the requirement for a unanimous jury vote to impose the death penalty. (Now, just eight out of 12 jurors are needed.)
MuƱiz was appointed to the Florida court after a stint in the Trump administrationās Department of Education. Before that, he was deputy general counsel for former Gov. Jeb Bush and was deputy chief of staff for two Florida House speakers. Orlando Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell also wrote that Munizās fellow lawyers gave him the lowest scores of any judge in the 2020 ranking by the Florida Bar.
This is a judge who seems to have turned his back on regular Floridians while he helps to further a Republican political agenda, undermining faith in one of our most important institutions: the courts.
The Herald recommends voting NO on the retention of Florida Supreme Court Justice Carlos MuƱiz.

My sister and I were gonna go to Club 27 in Weston tonight (when they often have 80s music, I guess), but it's not happening tonight. The usual DJ for Freestyle Fridays is probably away, travelling.
We live in Brickell. We like disco, Chicago/Detroit/NYC house, and 70s soul/funk music...Motown... Any bars or clubs you'd recommend for tonight/Friday? Also wouldn't mind a listening/vinyl lounge. (We did try out Dante's Hi-Fi a while back, and...maybe it was an off night, but it didn't feel like folks were actually there for the music...more for the 'cool' factor. We're looking for a place where people are actually into the music and dancing.
We prefer a place where most folks are 30 years old and up...no place filled with drunk 20 somethings...
Thanks!

Hey thereā¦so yeah my e-bike was stolen yesterday October 22, outside Walmart on NW 79th Street in Miami, sometime between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Iām hoping someone in the community can help me find it!
This is the description of my bike:
Model: Cycrown CycDremax, 2025 model
Value: Worth over $1,200 new. I purchased it from a third party for $625.
Distinctive features: Brand-new RED bungee hooks on the back and a phone holder attached to the bike, with a gold bell. (Donāt have an updated picture of the bright red bungee cables on the bike, did not know it would get stolen :/)
I had this bike for FIVE DAYS. It was such a good deal and the perfect bike for me, especially since I rely on it to get around Miami and commute to work.
The bike was locked up with a Kryptonite cable lock, but someone cut straight through it and took the bike. I was already planning to get a more secure lock within the next day and get a tracker because I wanted to better protect it. Unfortunately, it happened before I got the chance. š
While I was riding the bus today (10/23/2026) , I heard a Black man say, āThat bike is longggg gone.ā and āI aināt need it anyways, just the $.ā Given that my bike had been stolen the previous evening, those comments caught my attention. I also captured a side picture of him. I cannot confirm whether he has any connection to the theft, but I believe the information may be relevant to the investigation.
Iāve already filed a police report, and Walmart security is preparing surveillance footage for a detective. I have the bikeās identifying information, additional photos, and other evidence available.
Here are the pictures of my bike and the information I have attached below. š¤³š½
If anyone spots a Cycrown CycDremax matching this description anywhere in Miami, or has information that could help locate it, pleaseeee reach out to me through Reddit DM or email me at: link.afiasweets@gmail.com.
This bike was more than just a purchase. It was my transportation to work and a way to get around independently. Losing it after only five days is INCREDIBLY frustrating, and Iād genuinely appreciate any help, tips, or sightings.
Please keep an eye out, and thank you so much to anyone who shares this or helps spread the word! ā¤ļø

Need a regular oil change and my starter to be checked out, but Iām tired of getting scammed by mechanics. Iāve tried places in broward and Miami dade. I either get over charged or a problem that never existed pops up a few weeks later, or both. Please drop your mechanics that you trust and arenāt scammers ! I live in downtown Miami but willing to go 20-30 mins outside

We cater corporate lunches and private events around Miami, and lately the delivery side has been getting harder to manage than the actual catering.
It's pretty normal for us to have several orders leaving the kitchen within the same hour, sometimes going in completely different directions. We have staff who can drive, but I'd much rather have them staying at the kitchen or helping with setup instead of spending half the day on the road.
The tricky part is that these aren't just boxes you can throw in the back of a car. Timing matters, and we need the food to arrive looking the way it did when it left us.
Has anyone found a catering courier service in Miami that's reliable for multiple orders going out at the same time?

Hello all. As a longtime aficionado of both the show and the 2006 movie, I edited the speedboat scene, reimagining it as a souvenir from Sonnyās perspective. I tried to capture that nostalgic and cinematic feeling while preserving the musical style of the movie. Hope you enjoy it!
