I was asked this when designing magical girl outfits. Was asked if they be able to take them look like they were normal clothes. When i was thinking about it I can't think of a situation where someone had to remove the magical girl outfit off their body for what ever reason like they're normal clothing
I was thinking of the sailor moon scene of her with the wings and knocking things over in the house because she couldn't de-transform or remove the outfit from her body
And I absolutely sure no other MG series treats it like clothes, even the mechanical looking ones.
Can any experts in the genre let me know if theres a series that does? I'm asking because my designs change the body of the characters I'm writing.

Me and a few of my friends have been working on a series for the past two or three years and have just recently gotten to etching out the second draft and ironing out any issues with the story before anything else gets done. For this, we need to get feedback about the wider story and characters from our potential audience in the form of beta readers. We don't have a budget, so we're running entirely on volunteers, preferably those with a decent amount of free time.
The entire first draft is about 1.5 million words spread out through 3 volumes. It is a long story, relatively slow burn, and we're looking for places to cut down on the word count without vastly affecting the content. I repeat, this is a very large project. Readers are intended to take their time with it and become immersed in the story instead of binging it all at once.
The genres are: Psychological character drama, action, and romance. It is made for mature audiences, as there is abundant violence and strong language, dark themes that occur later on, and the psych drama can get very personal. Despite the darker themes, the overarching message is intended to be empowerment through adversity.
It features abundant queerness, high depth worldbuilding, a strong main villain, and an ensemble cast of four main characters. As a result, there is no defined "main" character, as the story tends to focus on all of the main characters equally. The story focuses primarily on these characters and their dynamics and thematic parallels with each other and the antagonists.
Currently, the first 7 chapters of the second draft are done being edited and are ready for review, which make up about 8% of the first volume.
I would like those who are interested to reply/DM me. We will credit those who beta read in the final draft if requested. If you have questions, I will answer them below or in DMs at my soonest convenience.
