What titles announced in 2026 excited you the most? Were there any that you thought might never get licensed that shocked you?

I’ve been really wanting to get back into reading lots of shoujo/josei again, but I’ve been struggling to start and stick with things recently! Does anyone have any recommendations for series that are good for getting out of reading slumps? I’m open to almost any type of manga, I’m not super picky on that front. I just really want to find something that jumpstarts my interest again

Hi everyone! I’m looking for manga recommendations! Some of my favorite anime are as follows: The Apothecary Diaries, Frieren, Witch Hat Atelier, Madoka Magica, Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Yona of the Dawn, Raven of the Inner Palace, Paradise Kiss, and Nana. Some other loved watches include Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (I’m planning to purchase the manga), Nina the Starry Bride, 7th Time Loop, May I Ask For One Final Thing, Champignon Witch, Princess Jellyfish, Though I Am An Inept Villainess, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day, Magic Knight Rayearth, Strawberry Panic, MARRIAGETOXIN, and Goodbye, Lara. My favorite themes/genres include historical fantasy/romance, anything relating to fashion (you can bet I’m excited for Bless), anything with mystery elements, as well as yuri.

Manga I own and have read include Nana, Paradise Kiss, Yona of the Dawn, Witch Hat Atelier, Neighborhood Story, and Magical Girl Dandelion.

Some items on my read list are: The Rose of Versailles, The Sword of Paros (when the translated edition with the gorgeous cover drops next spring), Snow White with the Red Hair, There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless…, and Pink Candy Kiss.

Interested into potentially exploring some darker manga as well as older manga, please let me know if there is anything in or outside of my read/watchlist you think may be best suited!

Hello shoujo girlies!! I'm desperately trying to find this manga, but I can only remember a few details. I think it was a one-shot set in a school, and the female lead was always feeling cold. The male lead brought her heat packs / hand warmers (i think??). The only other scene I vaguely remember is the guy covering them with a jacket or blanket before kissing her underneath it while they were in the classroom. It was like a secret kiss where nobody could see them. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the characters looked like, their names, or much else about the plot. I'm not even 100% sure if i'm remembering everything correctly, so take these details with a grain of salt! Does this ring a bell for anyone? I'd be forever grateful if you could help me find it. Thank you!

I’ve never read this series before so I’m happy to get into to!!

I've read a few manga with older characters that are often recommended on here (ex. koigaburo kun stole my first time, my love story with yamada-kun at lvl999, wotakoi) but I haven't found them to be particularly funny. I would love to read a funny, quirky, zany romance manga with older characters.

For example, I love the humor in Tamon's B-side and Romantic Killer but I just wish everyone were older! Or something like Life Lessons with Uramichi Onisan but with more romance.

So the female lead is an unpopular girl (I think she has a complex or something like that). And I think at the beginning of the manga, she breaks up with her boyfriend. The male lead is a popular boy. He is outgoing and has like a sunny personality.
Other things I remember about the manga:
- the female lead has an older sister (that is serious like her). I think there was like a mini arc in the manga where the fl thought the sister wanted the ml)
- I think the name of the manga contains “kokoro” or “momo” but I am not sure.
- the manga is not super old like between 2012-2020. I remember the art not being super old
- I think it had more than +30 chapters
- I think the fl and ml start dating early on and the manga shows their relationship

Hi guys, as a huge fan of this anime, I have been waiting for season 2 since the announcement and I thought it was suppossed to come out in autumn, yet I see no news about it. Anyone heard anything or has any updates? I want to say I can't wait, but then again I didn't expect season 2 at all.

Im currently struggling with being a jealous girlfriend, and comparing myself to other girls outside of the relationship as well, and I find that reading manga helps me to work through problems like this a lot. I’ve started to read a romance manga but I’ve noticed that almost all of the main characters interactions with other women are negative and it’s bothering me quite a bit. Nothing wrong with this in itself but it’s not what I need right now. I know it’s a bit of a strange request but if anyone can think of shoujo manga that have any themes of jealousy or comparison (outside of the classic beauty jealousy just bc I know plenty that are about that already) I would love to hear. Anything is good! Thank you!

Rejoice people!! The One within the Villainess is finally getting a physical paperback copy being released soon!!! Man you have no idea how fast I bought this!!!! Years of wait and finally my dream have come true.

I live in United Kingdom, so I am unsure of what dates the rest of the location will have their copies released in.

Due to how Kodansha formatted the licenses, some slides have some non-Shojo/Josei announcements from them as well, but every image has at least 1 if not 2 shojosei licenses from them (plus the comic yuri hime slide). they also licensed 2 manga from BL magazines not listed in this post.

I read somewhere that the author had decided to terminate her contract with the publisher and that the series was cancelled but then some people were saying that she might come back later in the year, wondering if anyone has any news on that and if she will be continuing the series. I tried searching up some info about it but couldn't find any. I love the series so much and feel like it is such a shame that if it is discontinued forever T_T

Also wondering if anybody has any similar recs?
