Question What’s so good about rathalos flare?
I know it does extra little hits of fire damage but it seems so small, usually on the 20 range for me. Is it just that it does more on longer fights and you might as well slot it in for gog armor builds to get more skills?

Weapon/Armor Build Wasteland Spartan
The Conga m helm always reminded me of both Mad Max’s wasteland punk aesthetic and a Spartan hoplite’s helmet (remove the faceplate and look at the crested silhouette and you can maybe see the resemblance) - so I figured I’d try combining both inspirations into one set

Discussion Is this a fair nitpick on Switch Axe?
So, started playing not that long ago, and Switch Axe was one of the first weapons I tried because, I like axes and this one came with a blade included so that's really neat, but my main appeal is the axe, but even tho I like the weapon I really wish, axe had some more focus or it was more balanced?
Because blade mode really gets all the cool stuff, is your main damage dealer, has your main damage attacks and the gauges are focused on building up and using your blade mode, leaving axe as a means to an end rather than a part of the weapon instead of being a, well, switch-axe, where you switch between both modes
Again I love the weapon and I find it super fun, but it's a little nitpick I have, just wish axe had more protagonism/it was more balanced to use both sides
-And before anyone says it, Charge blade is cool af but it doesn't end up clicking for me in terms of gameplay, I understand and know how to play it, is just not my thing-

Question Rey Dau keeps glitching my textures
It’s happened every so often before this. But I’ve noticed that every time I hunt Rey Dau and the plains get all thunderous. It really starts to break the textures of my game
I don’t have a great picture of it but Rey Dau always appears as a flat triangle with floating eyes and teeth. So I haven’t seen what it looks like. Whether or not I end the hunt early, the low poly graphics always spread like a disease to the other monsters and wildlife. Even to the games intro screen when I backed out to it
I’ve turned all my visual settings down but it’s still happening. Any idea what this is and how I can fix it? (I think it might be the plains being all foggy and thundering more then Rey Dau itself which breaks my textures but I dunno.)

Weapon/Armor Build Is this weapon actually as good as I'm imagining it to be?
So, I recently entered high rank (its my first MH game) and was looking for a water element weapon. Ended up crafting this thing. It has a *really* high water element stat but I really don't know how this game calculates damage. Can somebody explain it to me and whether this is good and what I should be looking for in general?

Discussion The Seikret movement is so smooth that it's addicting once you turn everything to manual
it's up there with torrent now as one my favorite "mythical" mounts. the movement is so crisp. i really have no fuckin clue why capcom thought it would be a good idea to go auto mode for the seikret instead of providing a section that teaches you the very simple mechanics of seikret movement both in and out of combat. i feel like most players would have had a much better reaction to it if they went that route instead of what we got
regardless, i was nearly jumping out of my seat when i found the options to make ALL seikret scenarios manual. whether i call it during combat or not, it never goes into auto mode. plus, holding down O/B instead of pressing up on the d-pad feels way smoother and allows for more risky plays in combat since i can keep moving without going claw
anyway, i am 100% a defender of the seikret. once it's all in manual, the seikret feels like a natural evolution for monster hunter. i'd feel naked without it lol
